Rndm 1
1st: I hope they do more to fix the bugs, not that they were gamebreaking in Origins, but still, fewer bugs = good 2nd: Trim the fat. Abilities: Does anyone use Disorient (or do you just take it to get to sleep/horror/waking nightmare?)? There seem to be a few abilities that can generally be pushed aside because they're just not as useful as others (the whole arcane line that mages start with from what I've heard, except for the shield if you're an Arcane Warrior). 3rd: More specialization w/ Specializations. I think it'd be better if there were at least 2 rows of abilities for specializations (rather than just 1), perhaps going either passive or active paths (Champion that naturally buffs allies or one that has more short term stat boosts/special effects for the party). I think it's fine how it is (surprising how one ability [combat magic/blood magic] can affect playstyle so much) I just wish that when I chose a specialization it felt more, well...specialized. I don't want it to get to the point where the players' freedom is taken away, but I think many will agree that when you choose to be a (insert specialization here) you want to really see a different style come into play (wish there were more blood magic/reaver talents/spells etc.) rather than just getting a stat boost and a few new skills (many of which are passive skills). 4th: More filler battles. Namely more random battles while traveling, "Where are all the darkspawn? I THOUGHT THERE WAS A BLIGHT!" Which would pave the way for... 5th: Higher soft level cap or more talent points per level (maybe 1.5 per level so every other level you get 2-one thing I didn't like was having to wait until level 17+ to actually see the build I was working on come together). 6th: A release date in the very near future. 7th: Oh and better looking Mage and light armor sets. Grumpy Old Wizard 0
More races. More classes. Yes, more rows for specializations. More mage gear. Dye kits to customize the appearance of gear. Link to comment
Unholy Hungers 1
Pretty much what Grumpy said. The main issue I had with the first one (superficial as it may be) was that any mage character (even with high level gear) looked ridiculous. Hated those pointy cone hats! Link to comment
Spunky 16
Haha, couldn't agree more on the mage's "helmets" looking ridiculous, but not much of a issue for me though as I never play as a mage in RPG's. Edited July 29, 2010 by Spunky Link to comment

There is a user made mod that allows you to remove the hat graphic while keeping any stats boost. If you want the mod its here Edited July 30, 2010 by stubbie Link to comment
Rndm 1
Dye Kits! They would be perfect in this game. Oh and full party commands (example: open radial->advanced->party move->target area->celebration for people that don't like micromanaging the whole party). Maybe some more advanced character tactics (rather than selecting an ability to use on (whatever) maybe have *thought processes* (generate hostility->tanking, buff melee/mage->support, attack priority->damage) and full party tactics designations (example: Party health/mana/stamina below x%-> use/activate ability [can't express how much I wanted this one for Wynne's Group Heal/Mass Rejuvination]). And bring Avernus back to complete his research (this DLC needed more, could have been a whole altnernate story). Co-op/PvP? Think an arena where players team up and fight waves of enemies or choose to fight eachother would be pretty fun (and would provide endless enemies if the story mode enemies are all dead [Need enemy respawn, don't like building a character up just to have a couple battles where my build is actually complete, and this would open up over-capping). Rndm 1
Thought up more stuff that'll most likely not be in DA2. Character Personality Instead of just choosing a voice at the beginning you choose an alignment, good or evil (won't determine ability to get good/bad endings, just determines whether your character is nice or nasty, mostly would affect dialogue choices/possible romances/battle speech), then choose 2 personality characteristics (smart/impulsive/violent/petty/arrogant/etc.) that would affect dialogue choices/battle speech for your character (in addition to stat based dialogue choices). Honestly don't think this will be in any DA game any time soon, but it'd be awesome, imbuing your character with more personality (adds more RP value, being able to make a hesitant/cowardly rogue, impulsive and arrogant mage, or a witty and violent warrior). Races: Qunari (I mean, we already have Sten right? And it sounds like we might be seeing more of the Qunari in the future...), Golem (Kol Sharok-that dwarven city that's supposed to have survived being locked in with the darkspawn, might have more golems-lot of possible content with this unknown place. Golems might have lyrium infused plate armor, take ideas from Shale-armor serves more as a setting for the crystals, better armor has no inherent stat bonuses-has more slots for crystals), Demon/Abomination (maybe not demon, but some things Wynne said made it sound like some mages might be able to retain their sanity/sense of self even after spirit possession. Or maybe that could be another mage specialization-Dark Vessel-last talent in the line would be a sustained-make you look all abomination-y). Hm...seems I've gone from hoping for things in DA2 to just listing ideas I've had about it...sorry about that. Edited July 31, 2010 by Rndm Link to comment

Rndm 1
So, read the Gameinformer article about DA2, and any doubts I had about it have be assuaged. I actually like the idea of a more Mass Effect type character creation (going to miss being able to pick my character's race/origin, but I guess this will alleviate problems that arose [for me, at least] from race/origin selection {namely race stat bonuses and origin story skill-kind of forced you to pick a certain race/origin for optimal class play} as well as adding a voice to the main character as well as cinematics that make you feel more involved in what's going on), and while I don't enjoy micromanaging my party (NEED MORE TACTICS SLOTS) if it becomes a necessity in DA2 it seems like it will be more enjoyable than it would be in Origins. The only thing I'm concerned about is the narration/time travel aspect, having the story told in flashback from someone else's POV bugs me, I like feeling like things are happening as I'm playing, not like everything I do is all some (to the narrator) past event (told by the narrator, meaning it's not necessarily what -actually- happened, aka "So I'm not actually playing as the real Hawke?). If the time jumping element is selectable (a certain scenario is "finished" and then you are given the choice to keep exploring or jump to the next part of the story) then I'll be fine with it, though I actually liked being able to travel around and do things at my own pace (would have liked faster travel/more battles during travel [when you want to get somewhere quick this'd be bad, but when you just want to fight stuff or aren't in a rush it'd be nice to break up the monotony] but I don't want scenarios where someone says "Oh, glad that's over," and suddenly you're thrown into the next scenario.
