The Hurt Locker

The title of this movie had been rolling around in my head for a few months now. I had no idea what this movie was about, and so when I finally got around to watching it, took me by surprise. A Bomb Squad's life for it's 30 day rotation.

First ten minutes... I forgot to breathe, and the cinematography was stunning.

There are scenes that easily go head to head with the saw series, while also delivering on some characacterization but mostly suspense. I don't think it's often that peeps have patience for suspense to actually grip them. When you do get that feeling from a movie, it's delicious, addictive, and kind of makes you wonder why more films can't get it down as good.

Violent movie and a pretty gory scene. Highly recommended.

I LOVE this movie! The way they played out the story kept me in my seat and made me want more! I don't know how many times I've watched it, but I just keep going back. There's a few subtle differences in tactics, uniforms and all that stuff that I get picky about, but other than that it was an amazing movie!

Ah,great guys. I was hoping for some feedback on this topic. It's been a long while since I really got into a war movie like this. I think for a while there were a bunch when Saving Private Ryan came out, then I fell into the horror trap  I kept rewinding that first few minutes over and over again. I couldn't believe the clarity and grain of image. I knew nothing about this film until I stopped it at the fiffteen mark to remember to breathe again, and quickly ran through google to reference the info about the movie.

wow

Lots of academy award nominations, ton of critical praise. I turned off the other screens and then really paid attention. When the new specialist shows up and starts off with his unorthodox methods, you don't know whether to hate or like... he seemingly seems to disrespect all protocol and is reckless. Yet he manages to pull it off. Close to 1000 times. Crack, if you're in the field, you must really appreciate what these teams pull off.

I love what the EOD guys do, and it's a very challenging field to work in, which is why there's a 97% drop out rate for it! I mean, who else can say they legitimately go play with explosives on a regular basis and get paid for it?
