I generally play mage characters, does the Ice and Blood expansion offer many improvements?

 

I noticed there's the one aspect specialisation bonus option in the character creation screen.

 

 

That would likely be Expert Touch. Instead of each aspect recharging separately, that causes them all to recharge whenever you use any Combat Arts. The trade-off is that it reduces all off your regen times. It is best used on single aspect builds. Then of course, there is the new Dragon Mage character class.

Are there any non-European servers for Sacred 2 PC as because I am from Australia European hosts are terrible due to traffic being routed via the US, the one Australian ISP that doesn't rout European through the US is very expensive because they have their own dedicated links.

 

We're talking 400ms which is unplayable in my opinion, it's the reason I won't play to play as the quality of the experience can never be assured unless you have a local server.

The English online community is dead, so I would not let availability of servers influence your decision. As a former ps3 player, I would advise your to drop the console version immediately. Give yourself 1 day to learn the PC controls, and I think you will never look back.

Actually, Ice and Blood took down casters in a big way. Things like deathblow and crit bonuses from gear don't work with spells anymore. Having said that, there are various caster types that are still effective, its just that all of them are less effective than without the expansion.

400ms would be a dream mate. Im from australia too and for most aussies I've spoken too, 800 is your minimum. Can be a little lower if you play after midnight our timr, but usually its 800+, I'm normally on around 1000ms.

IMHO, the improved controls more than make up for those losses.
