GothicTomcat 0
I'm just wondering what is the best program to use to remove the background on the screenies. I have IrFanView but I don't think it has a background eraser tool built in (if it does, I haven't seen it). So could someone recommend something that is free that has the eraser tool with it. gogoblender 3,071
Hey Gothic, have you tried Gimp? It's free and I know it's supposed to a software that supposedly emulates photoshop but without the massive cost: http://www.gimp.org/ I know that Tim loves it. gogo Link to comment

GothicTomcat 0
Ahhh, yes. Thanks so much, gogo. Exactly what I was looking for. You're a lifesaver once again. Link to comment
gogoblender 3,071
Ahh, good! Gothic, does it have what you need? If it does, I'm tempted to download it myself... I use ifranview to edit eh pics, but for image manipulation itself if doesn't seem to have that extra bit that could be so useful. gogo Link to comment

GothicTomcat 0
Yes, gogo. It has the background eraser plus a bunch of other gadgets I haven't tried out yet but will in time. Link to comment
GothicTomcat 0
@ berkley: Would you happen to have a link to a photoshop free download site? Link to comment
griffman 0
Actually I think the "free" thing is gone now. I think all they have is a free trial. http://www.adobe.com/go/tryphotoshop There is a way to get it for free, but it requires illegal things and I'm not going to be a part of that -.- Link to comment
GothicTomcat 0
Wow!! That download is HUUUUGGGEEEE. There is no way I can download that on this crappy dial up connection. Oh well, will have to try something else then. Link to comment
