Bondbug 32
Its sort of half way between an ice cream and a sorbet The original sorbet recipe it is adapted from says to use a metal container, but we don’t know why. 2 ripe bananas 2 oz sugar (or to taste) ½ pint thin cream (in our case a means to use the cream off the farm milk) 1 egg white Blend bananas, sugar & cream in an electric blender. Freeze until ½ set (firm round the edges, soft in the middle) Return to the liquidiser. With the motor running add the egg white. Re-freeze till firm. Link to comment

gogoblender 3,072
Wow, good sounding recipe, Bond. Actually...it looks like I could easily get the ingredients quick...all it needs is a blender? I always thought these kinds of deserts were move complicated. gogo Link to comment

Delta! 987
I'm busy making Banana and butlers sorbet, and so far it is tasty. Just waiting for it to finish churning. Recipe that I made up. 8 very ripe bananas cut up 1/2cup sugar 1/2cup water 1/4cup honey 1 1/2cups butlers creme de banana. bring the bananas, sugar, water, honey and 1/2 a cup of the liqueur to boil, until the banana is soft, blend, while still hot ad another 1/2cup liqueur and stir it in, when the mixture is cool, add the last 1/2cup liqueur, and churn in an Ice cream machine. Or put it in the freezer and blend every half hour to prevent large ice crystals from forming. Delta! Link to comment
Delta! 987
Sorbet is done, and it is very much amazingly good! smooth, creamy and full of banana flavour! I might just finish the whole tub without letting someone else taste! Delta! Link to comment
