My Sacred 2 Demo Save is only 16kb big? O RLY?

Hi there!

 

I just noticed that after all I've been doing in the Sacred 2 Demo, my character save is only 16kb big.

 

Did someone try to open them and find out what's the content of the files?

 

Also :

 

For those who are in the beta (who have the full game) are your characters save files getting bigger and bigger as you explore the game world?

 

I can't wait to receive answers!

Ya, rly.

No, they are pretty small, all they really save are your character data, items, CAs, Main Quest status (in each difficulty), side quest status (in each difficulty), portals activated & last res monolith.

What about the map exploration? Do you have an idea of how this is managed?

Areas that you've uncovered are saved, but your location isn't.

So you respawn at a sort of checkpoint? Do slain monsters respawn too?

From what I've seen in the demo, you respawn at the nearest Resurrection Shrine/Pillar/Thing. When you get near one and click on it it activates, and you respawn there on death, and on save/load.

 

As to monsters, they respawn constantly regardless, you just have to be X distance away (or enter/leave a cave) and they will repopulate. Same as Sacred 1.
