but twist is that merchant won´t sell it anymore...

Sacred pays homage to many older games and tv/movies. In S1 you had the Pong and Pac-Man Caves, Babylon 5 spaceship and Tristam inspired village, the Jason equipment etc. While I never played the Fable series I'd bet this quest was a small easter egg for all the Fable players
