Llama8 8
Out of curiosity, what would happen if you use a pair of ram sticks at one speed (eg, 667MHz) & a pair of ram sticks at a faster speed (eg 800MHz) in the same PC? I'm assuming that the motherboard would run them at the slower speed? Link to comment

gial 2
If it runs . . . Running at the slower speed possibly may not refresh the hi speed ram often enough, in which case it could fail. Check the stats first to be sure the 667 MHz is a fast enough refresh. Link to comment
Llama8 8
Good point gial. My "new" plan is to get 4 Gig now, then wait till Windows 7's released (plus a few months) & either get just that (assuming it's faster/lower overhead than Vista) or also get another 4 Gig. Link to comment
