About unique weapons

Few leveling and I am hafted master. Now, I only used unique weapons (orange color). Am I correct to assume that unique weapons uses ANY weapon skill which is higher?

so example me, when I hit hafted weapon level 75 I get normal mastery bonuses with this weapon?

 

There isn´t marked any "skill modifier" on these types of weapons.

 

But by the graphics this is hafted weapon (Orc Shock, axe).

 

When weapon is in inventory I get "speed penalty -22%" but when I equip it, penalty goes away (0,0%), what gives?

They seem to use their associated weapon type lore when it comes to determining attack rating and attack speed. For example, take a unique sword and a unique axe, equip them both and compare attack ratings.

 

And some uniques do use the weapon lores. I know I have a few polearms in one stash that use polearm lore... I'd have to look at others to make sure if that remains true for the other choices.
