Lost compass arrow and main quest circles

I was doing the quest about the orcs shortly before you get to the sailboat that takes you to get your special pets.

I was to go to a map marker between the two tribes and speak to an orc but when I went to load game after playing in multiplayer I do not have the map marker

Hi there mordon and welcome.

 

That has happened to me on occasion and the first thing that occurs to me is that you could try clicking on the quest in your log book. Push "L" to see your list of quests. Try selecting the quest you want to follow and if that doesn't work then try selecting a different quest from the list and then click the quest you want to follow. Sometimes that will bring the marker back into view. Let us know how it goes!
