Monster Scaling

Is there anyway to tone this down? I'm currently working on clearing as much of the map as possible, but I'm tired of getting swamped by thousands of Level 30 rats, skeletons, or bandits everytime I leave a city.

I'm guessing you play in silver, then just stay some bit longer in the high elf area so you outlevel the enemies over there, here you can find the caps for all regions, so just bear with it for a little more.

The only way to tone it down is to either out-level the monsters of whatever area you are in, go back to another difficulty or die and lose your survival bonus*.

 

*I think in HC mode you can lose your survival bonus but still stay alive if you get killed in PVP; but that might be incorrect information.

Thanks for clearing that up. I've seen like 2-3 people on the SIF saying otherwise. @_@;
