  1. Hi Lol guys! I dont need to be convinced - hehe better said: I cant be convinced on this one. Its proven and it works. Schot: If your new toon is a general one (one who was in the mind of the devs when made Sacred) then you should have low level of magic find. Now the trick is: - we need a relative low level char - with really low SB - this means he/she lvld much faster at the first few lvls than a "normal" char - ability to kill pretty fast (area of effect damage is preferred) - he needs to have unusual amount of MF (compared to his/her level) This *could* sound difficult but in reality its pretty easy to do. Now here we are speaking of entirely different matters. A VERY low level char (especially lvl1 ones) is a special case. He will have the same base chance to MF/TRADE (and such stuff) as anyone else BUT the modifiers modifiing theese base values will be enchanced greatly. This makes the lvl1 trader SOOOOO powerful. Of course this affects SB too. So if your toon at lvl1 with 97% SB than this huge amount will modify his/her chance to find great stuff to a much greater value than my level 200 Daemon. In short: 97% SB at level 1 worths much more than at higher lvls. Sadly level 1 is really a temporary state of your char and you cant "freeze" your xp to be able to run around killing monsters and getting godly drops. The higher witll get (in lvls) the more will the effect of the huge starting SB decrease - and you cant do anything against this. The huge drop rate bonus will diminish really really soon. Ofc having 97% SB will be still abolutely useful - better drops and slightly better damage than a "normal SB" char but my post was aimed at the MF. What I wrote was how to use that golden moment after your SB increases. Take it or leave it. First this techniqe was used in Softcore where your char respanws after a death experience with a reseted SB (to 0). This allowed many many times to commit suicide JUST to reset SB to finally find out: with a very high amount of MF + a constantly growing (changing then ater reset again changing) SB will provide you MUCH MUCH better results than having the same amount of MF with a 99% SB. In HC this cannot be reproduced fully because we would loose the chars at death. So the only remaining option is to use the above method is to level a char very fast (that means lesser amount of SB at the same time) then amass lotsa MF on him (/her) then try to continously have a killing spree - to catch the moment when your SB grows. The lower your SB and the higher your MF are the more successful you will be. I never ever stated that this is the only way to heaven - just tried to share something different than the mainstream. 2. Hi Very nice Dobster! The very first time I heard about Sacred were long ago browsing the Larian Studios forum. I was playing an excellent game called Divine Divinity when I read about ARmalion and Sacred first. Somewhere here. Not exactly this post but something like that.
  3. Thats right... PM and CL basicly works the same... well except that PM has a support CA (Testo) - but it works like you described. For example: You have a PM at level 200 + a PM casting slot with additional 100 PM + you have Testo running. You switch to the PM casting slot and drop a PM. Shortly after our testo runs out and you switch to a melee weapon slot. As long as the original PM duration lasts (50sec) it will remain boosted by both Testo (runned out) and the caster slot (not active atm).
  4. Hi The music choice would go also well with your Force of Nature Mage using Lightning Strike But great Vid anyway!
  5. Hi Woooho soo many things to comment on.... Life leech bonus from a full set - As far as my experience goes its not working. But I didnt investigated this one too deeply because I always had enough leech from a different source. Blackstaff's Icy Invocation - If I read it well what Schot wrote he said the full set bonus gives you a constant effect of GM at the level of your own GM (read runes + every other bonuses). My answer is valid only if I understand the statement well. Definitely NO. Blackstaff's Icy Invocation gives you a fixed value of GM (independent of the difficulty level or your own GM level). The value is somewhere around a level 100 GM. Its easily to try it tho: equip Full Blackstaff (without casting a GM previously) and write the regen time of your highest spell. Take a piece of the set to loose the GM bonus then Cast GM as a spell. Now write off now the same regen you already did before. You should notice that they are different and the casted GM has a much lower value - so it gives you a higher regen. OFC you need your own GM be definitely higher than 100. Do it with a level 200 GM and you will see a highly noticable bonus. let it snow.. - If you mean the full bonus of the Meg An-Enid's Blizzard set then I think this line is simply refering to the "XX% as special bonus damage" without any further effect - some kind of unfinished description. Never saw any slowing or any other effect at all. Ofc the "XX% special..." has quite wonderful effects Evilmale: "I have noticed the samething Gm Seems to be about pointless in a fire mage" Eh I am not understanding something clearly enough. You mean Ghost Meadow is excess for a fire BM?
  6. Hi OK Best results are achieved if you mule/hoard every available MF gear to this test char. I got some "3 uniq + 4 set" drops using this method in VoT
  7. Hi I never do "conventional" SB increases training for any of my chars. In my experience SB counts much more less than the majoroty of players think. It SHOULD make the difference but in HC where every toon is a high SB toon the small differences mean not too much. SB has mainly 2 uses for us: #1, gives some bonus damage #2, gives some bonus to MF or amplify the effect of MF Lets stay with #2 SB effects MF very little in the conventional way. BUT there is a way to use SB to get you extreem "uber" drops. THe following strategy comes from a very old Softcore idea which was *hehe* modified a bit. So the HC way of using SB to get drops actually needs the following things to make ot really worth trying: - a very very fast lvling att he lower lvls (this is depending what kind of items you are after. If you desire lower level stuff than this part is not neccesary) - an unusual amount of MF (unusual - considering the char level and the difficulty you are playing) - the most important: a large and concentrated pool of - at least medium drop quality - enemies. Lets use Ghost Cave for the example (well a fine example it is): At GC (or GF or GW or GG or GT or GS) there is a high Ghost concentration in a relative small and quick to respawnable place. Every high monster will do but now lets stick to our example place. You go in and you gather a mob then you kill them as fast as possible. Its very important that the gathering process should take as few time as possible. Why? Now comes the main idea in place. SB could (I amnot saying its not modifying your real MF chance - just it does it only a VERY little) help you with MFing BUT what really helps and has an easily noticable effect is the moment when your SB is GROWING. At the time when your SB amount is changing you will get awesome drops for a few seconds. Imagine what happens if that change (for example when your SB changes from 21% to 22%) happens when you are crowded with a good drop rate mob AND you have considerable amount of MF. Seeing SB this way in the reality SB helps you in MFing that long as its low enough to frequently change. This method is accurately tested and working. In Softcore the seasoned players (the higher the char the better the effect) regulary committed suicides to start SB over to get the high and fast SB increase and the godly drops. Well that wont work in HC but the "low SB high MF high level Char mass killing good droprate monsters" method is working very very well. Ofc this isnt the only way to get great drops BUT as long as your SB is low enough to be able to frequently increase it shines the common "as high as possible SB from the start" method hundred times
  8. Hi Yay! EMSEOWDSU! EvilMale SERIES OF WHEN DRAGONS STUPID
  9. Hi Actually I found myself eagerly waiting to get home from work put my baby and wife to sleep (ASAP) and start experimenting with that Fad idea If we would be able to make Fad working for BM.... lol that means a new BM for me right away!
  10. Hi Wooooo great Vid! Nice to see your Meteor BM kicking lizards again
  11. Hi It makes me really sad if my post made you think that way. If you or anyone else feels about this because of this post then I gladly ask your forgiveness! My intention wasnt to show any kind of "superiority" or offend you in any way. Theese are the key lines: - "IMHO jumping from plat to niob and especially niob around level 200 is a bigger difference than getting from bronze to plat" - "she is capable but shes far from that power she wielded until plat." so all I wanted to add was my own experience when my "sit back, mouse in one hand beer in the other eyes at the TV" playing style with my magic WE greatly changed when I visited niob Hell Ridge. I needed to invent some new strategies and great changes in my usual socketing policy. Actually the smooth - little boring gameplay - changed for me to a really challenging adrenalin pumping experience - so that was what I wanted to share with you and to promote continuing with the WE to reach this very interesting change. So I am standing here "corrected" with friendship, Csaszar
  12. Hi Sil: You dont need to "Proove" anyithing because no one doubted what you said. But providing thoose pics and the concept was a very good idea. Now we could experiment a bit on the phenomen you found. Such experiments and your findings could give some fresh interest to the game and I loudly compliment to you for that!
  13. Hi Now this is the perfect case of schizophrenia: Of course I take your word and believe you if you say this happened BUT at the same time I know and I say its impossible and it doesnt happened - at least not in the way you described it. Hehe difficult case. Sacred is buggy - but we know exactly how thoose bugs are working - and the phenomen you describe simply couldnt happened. (I played a lot with a full Orla without the special bolt bonus and it never happened.)
  14. Hi With all due respect you cant say you have "tried them all" until you have bested the most hard situation in the most hard difficulty. I wouldnt say that if Sacred would be simply linear and there wouldnt be any real difference between the difficulty lvls. IMHO jumping from plat to niob and especially niob around level 200 is a bigger difference than getting from bronze to plat. Some of the good old solutions wont work anymore. Ofc one can make precise guesses following his experiences - and yes full magic WE is niob capable. Just to clarify it: she is capable but shes far from that power she wielded until plat.
  15. Hi Ah the wonders of Creative Socketing... #1, As far as I know what Sil experienced is impossible. To get the bolts from Orla you need to socket every 3 ring right into the spear. If you socket 2 same orla ring and the second in the spear then the 3rd ino your helm (for example) you get the full set bonus and it will show you as a full set BUT without the bolts feature. The absolute full bonus can be reached only when sockething every piece in their own place. Still there is a common bug when an Orla spear is present somewhere in the server (even in stash) then sometimes the sparks can occur <-- sometimes hurting the player. #2, There is no way to make Fads fireballs working for a BM or Wood Elf. Absolutely no way. Period. IF you dont have axe lore but have dual wield (seraphim, DE) then there is a way to make it work tho. You need to dualwield 2 Fad axes at the same time and socket them with the fad rings. here is some picture help (all right reserved; TM; Csaszar's Graphic Designs Company ) Override ring: a ring with any skill requirement (you need to have that skill at the appropriate level) For example a ring with 20 req to weapon lore - so you need to have at least 20 weapon lore to be able to equip that ring. Now if you place that override ring it will override the 10 axe lore req from the Fad rings (and the axe). Any Jewelry: any jewelry of your choosing. Doesnt matters if its ring or amulet. Put in what suits you better. (for example leech or Xp jewelry) The order MUST be the same as in the PIC or else it wont work! (actually you can swap the override ring with the any jewelry in the 2nd Axe - that makes no difference) This is working because we make Sacred believe all the rings are socketed in Fad axes so the final fireball bonus can happen. Without the 2nd Fad it wont work because the game will see that one of the rings are NOT in a Fad axe. Finally: Have Fun! Warning!! After several years at the moment discussing this on SIF is not allowed anymore. However this is not a "cheat" or something like that its still better to not question their decision. This thing is in the game from the beginning and they didnt took it out - now that is the real "official statement" More question about this should be aimed at Carolyn.
  16. Hi btw I forgot something: try to get as many Lorgars ammys as you can. They are your best friends Good resists with RSM and increased poison damage.
  17. Hi Dark Elf is simply the pinnacle of everything in Sacred so dont be surprised to start the overall best melee char. Seraphims have niver butt, Glad are bigger, WE's wawe more with their weapons and Vampires attack faster. But none of them have awesome damage + AR and Def at the same time. (not to mention the ability to reflect arrows ans spells) The key to the ultimate success lies in the OFFENSIVE tactic. Until Niob you dont really need defenses. You attack and they die. Get good weapon + socket it for poison damage + raise your choosen CA (Combat Arts) + and raise Testosterone as much as you can. Be aggressive to a great extent. If your CA isnt reloaded yet you still can kill with your simple attacks (both AR and damage already increased). You should consider go one handed like my Melee DE. That guy is highly effective and great fun to play. And he is invisible too! For optimized skill selection: Blade Combat Concentration Trap Lore Ballistics Weapon Lore Constitution Armor Parrying This build is based on the Ethan Rys set but it could work without it ofc. It goes with a weapon shield config so the Blade lore + parry is the most effective chioce. Trap Lore and Ballistics allow you to recast your buffs as soon as they run out (can be around 4-5 mins) AND you can drop some powa traps around if you feel neccesary. Your main attack CA choices: HH + ATTACK + MH #1, HH It works surpisingly well. If you use full Ethans its even better. Coming out of invisibility for a swift deadly strike then blending back to the shadows. Like a really cute assasin. Damage output in niob is around several millions. Its not hard to get a reasonable power/regen balance plus you are invisible before and after the strike. #2, Attack Another skill where the DE really shines. With one weapon the execution time is around 2 sec - that means if you have the regen under that you are golden. My DE uses Attack over 200 and under that 2 sec. This way your attack is turned into almost a melee Area of Effect skill - one hit killing any enemy (well niob poison trolls requires more than 1 hit to kill - but they still fall quickly). If your attack interrupted and not reloaded yet do a quick left click attack. You get enough AR and Damage from Testo to make simply attacks useful. #3, MH MH is bugged. MH has great potential but sadly its essetially screwed. When the Combat Arts were stripped from their auto hit ability (pre PLUS) MH started to behave bugged and its still the worse combat skill up today. Still DE has some uses for MH. First it seems less bugged than for other chars (its still could kill you if you are depending on MH) second it has some nice side effects like throwing the enemies back while stunning them. Personally I dont reallly used MH because you dont need to throw back the enemies and you dont need to stun them. What you need is to kill them. #1 and #2 does that pretty fine. My DE is primary HH with a good developed ATTACK. The Game cant really send anyone against him. He has no secrets - no special equipment (well except from Ethans ) so the quick keywords: -aggressive playstyle -very high Testosterone (preferably maxed) -up to date gear -HH and Attack -being the ever best "hybrid" char - you have a trappers arsenal at your hands Maybe take a look at this.
  18. Hi We need to separate certain concepts - namely: #1, "Can be done"? #2, "Can be done with great efficiency"? The answers could be short or long. Lets stick with the short answer #1, Yes, definitely - seraphim is capable to any role. #2, No, impossible. - No boxer char could even near the destructiveness of an Area of Effect capable melee char not to mention magic users (absolutely forget DE) Rotluchs gave a nice base to build a boxer seraphim around. There could be small differences if you go full melee or build a hybrid but ultimately she wont be able to "Rock" - that doesnt mean she wouldnt be able to kill any single baddies - but release her in VoT or a more difficult place and she will have a hard time. But hey dont give up

None, save me and the bodkin - pitter-patter on the roof: Behold! - 'tis not the rain; thence me it has to be - I will not drink thy vintage wine, my dear; Thou hast heed'd that I am of innocence, yet thou let'st thy lass into peril - Thou let'st me be parched; My heart is of frailty, my pale skin is hued damask. When thou thy tears hast hidden, "Come back!", thou sayest - There I soon am to be - but how am I to run when my bones, my heart! Thou hast me bereaft! - But run thou sayest; I run - And there and then I behold that a time will come when I again dead will be. Thou tell'st me to leave without delay - I leave with my bodkin and my tears in my hands; Lo! - the shadows, the sky - descending; So by a dint of smite I gait ere I run and melt together with dusk. 20. Hi I am not really familiar with GW so take everything I say about it with a grain of salt. (hehe so theese are no absolute truths like my other posts ) So I have the basic hame but after I noticed the whole concept is about PvP and there are really nothing to do except PvP after a point I abandoned the game. But as far as I know its not really a free game. After you buy the basic game you can play the internet MP but if you pass on the expansions its better not to do. At least thats what some of my friends told me. -ofc this modell is still more acceptable than a monthly fee (IMHO) For my part I still prefer the example D2 set up: you buy the game (maybe later an expansion) and you got everything. With the expansion you are not forced to buy it (however its better to do that) because support remains for the basic game too.
  21. Hi I could be misleading so I try to clarify things: Mythos is currently in closed Beta stage and its completely free. Up to this point there is no way to mess with "real money" (luckily). BUT in the future FSS (Flagship Studios) will try a special pay modell for Mythos. The game itself will remain free (that means no cash needed - no money to buy or no money to play it online) but there will be several options to get the real money in the game. Some kind of subscription wil offer several advantages (FSS promised theese advantages will be mainly cosmetic choises) and it will be implemented a 2nd type of currency in the game: a special currency - basicly the equivalent of real money. Their pay structure is still in development so nothing is 100% sure at this point.
  22. Hi Unarmed seraphim? Hmm ... sounds interesting :cha (18): Maybe the even clser range would amplify her RBOL even! Btw: I am not sure how it works for the seraphim but for Daemon the Dual Wield skill was greatly effective trying her unarmed. I dont know its a bug or its intended but both attack speed and attack rate were boosted trough DW when I tried my Deamon unarmed. " handed gloves and 1 handed knuckles ?) as well. It may worth a try for seraphim too! Hehe nice idea EM! I look forward to hear more from this build idea if you choose to implement it!
