Starting again in Sacred 2

Recently I reinstalled Sacred 2 in my new computer and I was amazed again by this rich, wonderful and huge game!

I am planning to play a hard seraphim from scratch and I remembered that on the character creation screen I never understood well the function “Expert Touch”. I understand that it replenishes one aspect at the cost of the others and I consider myself almost an expert about the seraphim, so I want to play using all aspects: warrior, magic and technology as well. But I think the Expert Touch is not enough good for a multi role character, right?

I agree, I don't use Expert Touch for my triple-aspect Seraphim. Wouldn't be a terrible choice, but it's nice to have your timers separate. For her, my Combos are: Soul Hammer+Pelting Strikes in one combo, Radiant Pillar+Flaring Nova in another, and Archangel's Wrath+Baneful Smite in a third. So Revered Tech and Celestial Magic kinda "share" regen because of my combos, but Exalted Warrior stays separate.

Expert Touch would only be good choice if all your combos mixed up CA's from all three aspects (like, for example, my Dragon Mage is triple-aspect but uses Expert Touch).

Or of course, Expert Touch is great if you were doing a single-aspect character.

Thank you, that's what I thought but it feels good a confirmation. I think this mode shouldn’t be an irreversible option in the character creation screen, it seems to me more like a combat choice, but the character editor you showed me in the other thread allows to change the Expert Touch so I might experiment more often with that.

My combos are similar, except that I prefer my main attack starting with Assailing Somersault to jump near them attacking more quickly, for crowd control I use Flaring Nova in first place with the chance to stun and slows enemies, that maintain them more time inside the pillar :] and I prefer Archangel’s Wrath in a single shot for long range defense.

Those sound like good ideas, I'm still building my first Seraphim (she's only in her 30's) so pretty much anything goes in terms of experimentation. Hmmm Flaring Nova and then Radiant Pillar...interesting. For mine, I have the mod on Radiant Pillar that sucks enemies into the Pillar, so they get sucked in and then hit with my Nova (if I cast the Pillar next to me at least).

I would like to add Assailing Somersalt to the beginning of Soul Hammer+Pelting strikes combo, but I'd have to take Combat Discipline and she's low on Defensive Skills already since she's triple aspect. I'll probably end up taking Warding Energy Lore instead.

But considers that those mindless enemies will run to you anyway! Hypnosis modification will not be much noticeable as Delude that reduces the attack of enemies and is much better for a helpless seraphim running around there. I also choose Brightness to increase the area of effect and Magnify to increase its power. But at last is a matter of which order makes you feel more comfortable, I prefer to use Flaring Nova first to ‘call’ more enemies so they will be tight for the flash of light!

Combat Discipline and Concentration could be seen as wasted skills but I like to have all my alternatives ready to use (even if I do not use them, as the 3 bufs...), so is a personal choice. I figured out that as I only have 8 abilities to use instead 10...

Our 14 years old was used to have a full chest and the family smith when playing Sacred2. While at hospital she decided to do a character on a fresh install, ice and blood and CM-patch. It was a Seraphim which looked different to all guides. She said she just adapted the character to the stuff she was finding:

At the start she modified combat alert in a defensive way, not knowing which weapon types she will be finding.

Then the light buff was added to hunt undeads and t-energy beasts. One t-energy orc champion near the octopus dropped a yellow sword. no sockets and useless modifiers except one - x% life leech. This was the point she added technic lore and put 9 points into it to modify archangels sword with 2 explosions for growd control.

Then she was boosting just combat discipline and concentration. She wanted the energy shield when approaching platinum (concentration mastery) and combat discipline because it added damage to all 3 aspects. The reg time was lowered by reg per hit items.

....

She did a little diary and it was funny how different a first character is to a character which is started with a chain of bargainers and a niob smith.
