  4. Minimum 8 hours, lol. For some reason I'm paranoid of losing sleep... When it's time, I just power everything off, and jump into bed, cuz I've had everything prepared in advance. As long as, at work, I can tell myself I had 8 hours of sleep, I feel invulnerable. gogo
  5. Well, I'm still hacking away at level 7. I go on and off back to the game every now and then to kill stuff. It's cool seeing how many peeps are playing. However, the graphics aren't all that polished right now (course I'm only level 7, what do I know ) And my toon doesn't move too fast or cool. I guess I'm waiting for more action Combat Arts or something. And...I detest the way things sound when I hit them. It sounds like a trashcan hitting the sidewalk...over and over.... Pretty annoying and getting to the point of pretty agravating. That's one thing about Sacred they had down perfect. Amazing range of sounds when you were in battle. I'll spend some more time on it today and report back. gogo p.s. Ganto, I'll have Schot post on how he got to make the download work, it was tricky
  6. - Borg, yes, that's right. When you're typing very very fast, you need the keys to be smaller, so you're hands don't actually move too much. I spent a ton of time watching the best typers at our work, and I noticed that everyone who was able to do seventy words or more a minute, looked like they had hands that never moved off the keyboard. In fact, ALL of the fastest keyboard typers were the quietest ones! I spent a good bit of time analyzing that, and realized that they kept their fingers as close to the keys as possible, hence... smaller movements per finger, and less noises. It "clicked" for me then, that the closer the keys were, the faster I could possibly put out the speed, since my fingers and hands would move less... And that's when I noticed that the big ergo board, just couldn't it anymore, and in fact, I was getting more pains from the fancy one because of the contorting I had to do. Into the corner it got tossed. - Timo, the only think I'm sort of missing from the fancy keyboard was the volume control. That was very useful, and it's a shame that the old/ smaller one I'm using right now doesn't have it. Maybe I can find some kind of a prog that could help me turn two of the unused keys into volumes? gogo
  7. Where did this post come from? The idea is brilliant... knuckles how easy is it to do this... ? gogo
  8. That's great new Llama, Congratulations! How many little ones you guys aiming for...five or six? My parents came from big families, they say there's nothing like it! gogo
  9. Sacred 2 - Live Gameplay with Shadow Warrior You can get a look at the number of sets that will be available for the Shadow Warrior in this one. Also pay attention to how many little bad guys this game is going to be able to squeeze on screen at once. Could be time to beef up that video card ^^
  10. Sacred 2 - Live Footage from Dell Arena GC
  11. Ahh, cool, our mini-Norway community is celebrating a country-wide birthday. Is it a day off for everyone? And I'm also curious, are there traditions that are followed on this day? Have a great time all you guys, wave that flag! gogo
  12. Last year of the teens, make this one count. Happy Birthday! gogo
  13. heh, this is gonna sound funny, but it's an interesting story ^^ *cough* I've given up on that fancy schmancy keyboard. I'm not sure what it was about it. Yeah, it was cool, for awhile at least, alll the ergonomics and stuff and design. I remember how much I enjoyed opening it up, and the feeling I got the first time I saw it in the store. Thing is...I just can't seem to type fast enough on it. And... the way the keys were laid out along the bottom left of it with that windows button... not only did I accidentally keep closing all posts and windows that I was working on, losing me a ton of work...but I could never get up to enough speed. At work, the minimum typing speed for Deaf Relay is 60 wpm. And,when I first started working, I would always curse non-stop over how crappy those smallish keyboards where, while saying to myself how awesome the Microsoft keyboard I had bought was. Well... after almost 9 months of tapping away at those small keyboards, I came to realize that every time I came home to type posts...my hands would hurt. I think what I have come to realize is that for speed typers like me (lol, 80 Words Per minutes now ), big ergo keyboards like what I had bought before actually got in the way of speedy writing, and added to wrist pains which would terrify me. The answer? I chucked the snazzy keyboard... in a dusty old corner filled with old electronic leftovers... the keyboard that came with my dell system about five years ago. It makes nice clunky sounds, gives great tactile feedback, and more importantly...the spacing between keys is so much smaller, that my fingers can actually fly. Here's the pic of the reborn dinosaur: lol, seems like marketing ain't all it's cut out to be huh ^^ Welcome back Dell gogo
  14. Good point Scleameth. Could this be a way for Ascaron to make sure that content bought by players stays with players who originally bought it? That trashcan still makes me nervous. Being able to drop stuff and litter the ground with gifts was always a big drawing point for me. It's not something we ever saw in Guild Wars... And I'm hoping that this "take" on inventory and items doesn't have too much of an adverse effect on Sacred's now-famous HC gift Economy. lol, in fact, I always remember new peeps showing up, always trying to charge prices for items, which would start up a gale of laughter, because everyone just gave everything away for free. -Schot, maybe the screens are too early to show sockets? -lol, 501105, I'm sure we'll get used to it pretty fast. In fact, I'm sort of tired of classically designed "ornate" inventory screens... IMO, the devs have come up with something fresh, and austere...I'm just wondering, if that's actually going to remain in the release ^ gogo
  15. 10000 BC A lame, long and very boring remake of Apocalypto gogo

  22. Power, thank you for letting us put up the links and content from your site! I'm curious as to what the descriptions of the info on the inventory screen... Would you be able to give us any idea of what they stand for? And thanks, if you're able to get the pic from the right side of the CA box. Inventory and stats meant so much in Sacred, and it looks like Ascaron is putting some great work into this. Course, lol, I'm jealous you already got hands on of it! gogo p.s. I have a quote here from pc.ign.com There are a few minor differences Ascaron is making to the Xbox 360 version so that the console build feels right. Unlike the PC version, which enables players to use a more complicated inventory using the quick and efficient mouse and keyboard, the Xbox 360 version will display a simplified and streamlined inventory system and a re-mapped control system. After slaying a goblin, players can pick up dropped weapons and loot. The weapons can be used or discarded, and if they're used, their stats will instantly appear in the inventory system. If a similar weapon already exists, when a new weapon is selected, the new stats will show up besides the old ones to help players decide which to keep or trash. Implementing a quick and useful storage system, Ascaron enables players to use the "trash" option to stow away unwanted weapons and items until they get to the nearest store. Once there, they can simply sell the whole "trash" folder to the store keeper and collect cash for it, instead of having to discard so many things along the way. My first question is this...will the "trash" folder option really only be in 360? Curious as ever am I. hmmmm...is it for sure that this system of inventory will only be used in the 360 version? It's the concept of the "trash" folder that makes me curious. Okay, let's say that you're out in the field, and have collected a lot of stuff...how does this new trash system work? Do you automatically assign things to "trash" meaning that the moment you make it back to a town you can sell it all off? And because you assign it to "trash"...does this mean that you can't change your mind and pull it out of trasn and then give it to a player? As well...GW had a trash can. This feature of the game was a HUGE difference from Sacred and impacted the game on many levels. For example now...our trash is simply dropping items in communal zones...right? Is this new Trash option the ONLY way we can now get rid of items without "trading" it to a player? The ease of which it was to drop items in SAcred HC was, I believe, one of the main reasons for the spirit of a gift economy. Yes we liked to give. But it was also easy and more importantly...allowed. Will dropping of items, now be disallowed from Sacred 2 in communal areas? Is the Trash Option mandatory...meaning that we can't drop...only put things into our "trash" folder hereby impacting the entire classic sacred economy? gogo
  23. You're right... the lead actress was good...I liked the speed of her talking, found her very charismatic and smart. However...I think it was my whole "thing" for hackers that had me expecting something else, and so that's why I think this movie disappointed me...a bit. The movie wasn't ever really cheesy, and had a good bit to say about everyone contributing to "bad things" that happen. I thought for that point alone it gets points. Wasn't the last attempt on the heroine's life especially gruesome? I remember trying to imagine just how that would look.... owch lol there will never be another hackers...evah!
