  1. Alaska... Alaska? Gosh Myles...why Alaska? And cool about your asian heritage. I'd always guessed so for some reason from your old avatar. Btw whatever happenned to it? It was yours distinctively and I kinda miss it. Cool seeing the answers Myles and it's always great gettin to know the community a little more. Pity about the milkshakes though gogo
  2. actually , yeah..I'll go as far as saying that it's as good as you said it is Surf. Wow, where'd they get all the money to shoot this film too? And yer right...good comment about DiCaprio...for me...this is the first film that he's done that I've ever bought into. L'il Feller's growin up. gogo
  3. woah, this is a very long movie...two hours? lol, it's been a while since I've sat down for something that long. And the first fifteen minutes kept me in my place, with jaw open, eyes open in shock and completely enthralled. Guess you could say I liked the movie? Ultra violent, ruthless and gory. This movie is a recounted history and it's a real whallop if you never knew about any of this kind of stuff before. The Conflict Diamonds story is something that came out of left field and bit me for the whole two hours as I watched this movie. It has scenes that remind me of those from God of War with Nicholas Nolte. Another eye opener if , like me, none of this stuff is known. This movie is expensive, glossy, polished and was tremendously interesting for me. This gets a gogo reccomendation from me gogo
  4. Ahhh, and this is why I love the new SIF team... the stuff being done make sense. Ty Dagirl. Can hardly wait till Sacred 2 comes in now Woot! gogo p.s. somtimes doing it so it makes sense takes more time, but wow, does it ever make us loyal!
  5. ahh, thanks for the reply Carolyne! Maybe they were taken out before and I didn't notice it till now. I was thinkin that you would have at least told us that a mass prune was coming or something. I'll just keep hunting fer other good stuff now Cheers! gogo
  6. I still think this is one of the best games ever made. Pure Polish And I just couldn't get enough of the heroes man...I'm really gonna miss it gogo
  7. ooh, such an exciting review there yarasa... heh, anyway, I'll give it a looksey today and get back to you. I just tracked some reviews on it and it doesn't look too cheesy/cheap. Maybe good fer a snack gogo
  8. My take on this is that there are currently two ways of doing online games. One is the sacred way...one huge instance 24/7, also the WOW way...expensive this to do it right. Number two is having just towns in the game being communal instances, with the capacity to spawn instance for SMALLER groups of people...like in GW. This method is cheaper and easier to run. Obviously the second take on an online community brings down costs a lot and allows GW to to remain online as long as they keep producing new chatpers to their franchise. For the longest time I was wondering as to how Sacred could offer such lush grahics, amazing options and STILL attempt an emulation of the universal instancing that was found in Sacred. I'm thinkin that from what I read in that article they have be able to put a twist on the instancing idea and give us what we need at the price we want to pay. gogo
  9. Cykes, ya know, you had the courage to do what we're all knowing has to be done. I mean, let's face it...ogame had this huge power of the draw...it's a gambling game, lol...everytime we go back to the casino we go with a stake that gets a bit bigger and bigger...eventually, lol...it gets wiped out. can you se crash? I have a ton of respect for you man cuz you did it before me lol However...your leaving the game has inspired me to build a HUGE fleet to make a final nice crash and do my good bye post as well. I can't see myself playing for much longer than one or two months while we get the wing and main merged. Ogame's draw was, I believe, one of the reasons we built such a great community in such a short time. However, staying with ogame is kinda like a time hog. I think I want bacon today;) Thanks for keeping the Acccount with D.a.r.k. it's absolutley appreciated and will help us keep our standing. We'll start putting out feelers right away to see if we can find a nice competent person to play it with. Enjoy RL man...and remember... Imperia Online...This april...new server opening up... Gang's gonna be there Woot! gogo p.s. who is Black Rider? Nice guy? Can we trust him? Would he want to play with D.a.r.k.?
  10. What a great story, hk. And keep goin. Nothing you wrote about says anything other than you were nervous. And, good that you were! Committing to anything to wholeheartedly for the first time means you're taking it seriously. And have put worth on the line. Yeah it really sucks if things don't go out the way you kind of thought they would...but oh boy...you just know it's gonna be all worth it the day it does! The cool thing about all of this is that you've already come ahead just by stepping into the ring. And I bet you've learned a heck of a lot more than you did in those few minutes than probably a ton of times at the gym before. So go back to the sparring, keep hitting and really important...notch up the learning cap and REALLY look at what you have to learn the before you go back in again. Great job hk Let's do this again +++ gogo p.s Watch the nutrition okay? Maybe make a scheduelle twenty four hours before a fight with excel regarding how, when you'll eat before hand and even block digestion times based on your own body. Yeah I know it sounds all technical but, if you wanna get a really good look at what you need to do before a fight it'll come easy. Cheers! gogo
  11. I'm sold. The convication, passion and amazing amount of detail you've put into this thread has convinced me to at least devote some time to Noir. I'm actually interested in what you had to say about you being a sucker for toons with moral burdens because I think that a lot of our interest in characters from movies, animations, literature have a lot to do with how others grapple with their problems and either conquer or perish. The heroes journey is a much written account of suffering, trials and tribulations that help us connect with a la pathos with the life of the storied. It sounds like Noir has an interesting sort of symbiosis happening between two toons who we will journey with down this road of the mysterious time piece. Good post gogo
  12. You know...I think it will! and in this case, the instances could be capable of handling from 16 to thirty two peeps at once! And the really cool thing is...Gw's techs are getting old. They're gorgeous and do work...but a year from now, they'll be old. With Sacred 2, apparently you'll have the ability to start off in an instance, then...if yer having a hard time with it, call someone over from another instance into YOUR instance! No messy cuts, not pause button... Next years instancing technology is lookin great! So...am I reading this right? Read the article here and tell me what you think. http://www.rpgamer.com/news/Q1-2007/031707b.html Cheers! gogo

  16. Hey guys I know a lot of us have been waiting to play HellGate fer a while now, but they have opted to do a very cool kind of testing for their game. They are going to put it's game engine out on the net for free and turn it into a dif kind of world so that the online peeps can play it while the game company gets advanced testing for the upcoming Hell Gate. This mini game is called Mythos and it's free! Like Diablo? Take a look at the movie, and you can see where it's inspiration comes from http://www.gamespot.com/news/6167915.html?...estnews;title;1 gogo p.s if this game takes off they're thinkin of charging five bucks a month.
  17. ahh, llama...so was there really a clean out? Do you know when this happenned? gogo
