  2. Easter Dinner with the Family! There was some delicious melt in your mouth curried duck... a first time for me... love when i can get a piece of tender meat in my mouth, but having to go through all that fat and stuff... not sure its my fave thing... at least the stew style my uncle made it ...though full point for his constant cooking bravery he loves trying new meats out... and check out my aunts delicious Brinjol, as we call it, or eggplant... this is a hard, long, tediously tiring dish to make...but when you get it right  ... assorted other curries followed, but the best time is just getting to hang with my cousins, some new GF, my aunts and uncles...all about that vibe

I made a three video series showcase about how I mod the game. Unfortunately the microphone is located directly above my air cooling system which is a little bit annoying, tried to reduce it with filters but it's still annoying, but I can't afford to buy a better setup at the moment so there's no way around that, I'm sorry.

The mods themselves are by no means ready for release yet, but once they are, they will be included in my mod.

    Here is the playlist:

Hello there! Long time since I've posted here, but I had to come and pay my respects to this awesome endeavour. I've only ran the game for a few hours so far, but it's clear to me that the work Vishanka did with this mod is incredible. The game looks fresher than ever, less cartoonish in a way, and definitely easier on the eyes. Looking at the sands of the Bengaresh desert and not being blinded by the constant flare is refreshing.

I think that I'm going to have fun rediscovering the game's areas, and with it all the little details that have eluded me for years. Thank you so much for this Vishanka, you have my respect!

Androdion!!! Happy to see you back and trying out Vishanka's mod!

    :hugs:

    aint it a dilly! !

Loads of careful touches and touchups to the world environment that fill your heart with joy.. glary cartoons...goneth!

    Hey, friends!

I'm playing on Xbox as always, but I can't seem to find a straight answer for this.

Does the number of quests completed have any effect on loot drops/frequency or loot quality?

    Thank you!

This is a tricky question Bing...I know theres quests that drop sets, points, all lovely manner of treasure... so I guess we could say that  quest completion in game is important because you get to items faster if you want to play that way.

However, regarding does whether the total number of quests completed have an effect on drops, frequency or loot quality...  well..

Its Easter Sunday and were off to a large chocolate eating feast (ugh family :P)  so hopefully someone with more insights into the math of this will have what you need.

    and...happeeeeeeeeeeee Eeeeeeeeeeeeeestah!

    Hey everyone!

This is my first post, as well as my first small mod! It is a pleasure to meet all the Sacred fans out there!

Remember how when there is a startup loading screen(Sacred Gold Steam Version), there is that dog creature that looks like it wants to eat you? Isnt it just sad - to stand all day with open mouth, he /she wants love too you know! Well he/she can finally have rest now.

There is a version for 16:9 and 4:3 resolutions. Choose only the one you need. Instruction to install is below.

Also a warning - this mod is designed to work with dgVoodoo tool that resizes the screen. It still is supposed to work with any mods. Some mods have their own resizing standards: pureHD, Sacred Reborn, etc. How it will work with them is anyone's guess.

On the bright side  - it cannot break your game in any way, since this mod is just one graphic file.

    Installation instructions:

    1. Unpack the archive and put the file into you PAK folder.

    2. Say 'Yes' to overwrite!

    3. Open Settings.cfg

    4. Make sure that the line GFXSTARTUP looks like this: GFXSTARTUP : LoadingUW00.bmp

    5. Save the changes!

    Thats it!

This should work with the gog version too. Keep in mind though that in gog version 'Settings.cfg' have a different punctuation, like -  GFXSTARTUP: LoadingUW00.bmp. Pay attention to those or it might not work.

P.S : I really wanted to add some more elements to the wallpaper. Like some mystical letters magic alphabet symbols or something. Alas  - I thought there would be some original sacred art or fan art, - but there was none. And inserting some random stuff just feels wrong. If someone has some "mystical letters magic alphabet symbols" art  or maybe can draw some - pm me. If you are going to draw, please keep in mind - symbols must be on pure black/white canvas. Or without canvas at all. Having them that way simplifies(a lot) work in GIMP.

What a delightful entrance into the forum..  two big bags of goodies for us...  a first post, and..... a glorious new mod that can give the poor little guardian some time away, maybe with the monster family on a beach somewhere with monster snacks :D
Happy to meet up Kitty and was thinking of what you mentioned about wanting to add more elements  In SacredWiki theres a section called Sacred Media, and within it you'll  find loads of items collected from game and contributors... maybe something there you like ?

Just in time for Easter: Chicks leaving the eggs. Put most eggs in a breeding machine to have control over the time. Extented family with some young kids will come. So little chicks, coloring eggs in ant-hills, ...

Think the eggs (added some fake eggs) in the nest with the hen will be ready easter monday. Prefer the chicks being raised with a mother hen. We have Deutsche Sperber (german sparrowhawk hens). Quite robust and can live outside, even hunting mice and such. Roosters can even fight with some success against fox and birds of prey.

True ...this whole graves thing is one of my favorite ideas inthis franchise.. the devs were so funny, kind adventurous and brave...  graves turned into a massive easter egg hunt...and if you were in the budding community at the time, there was a chance you could be *painfully* immortalized  (incarcerated! ) forever!

  10. Good beer out for a local chicken eatery... st huberts is big here in Quebec... their sauce and deliveries are kind of legendary... but gotta say, they got a good bar routine going on too.

Mom's coming down from the states (Bethesda) in April, and were getting her a hotel close to my Ammammas place so she can walk there every day in the summer just to keep her company and I think more beer is on the hit list...

Over the past few weeks, I've been meticulously crafting a new Dryad build and pushing the limits of summoning AI, which, to put it mildly, hasn't been the smoothest ride. So, in an effort to enhance our collective gameplay, I dove deep into the mechanics of two summons deemed most potent and reliable, hoping to uncover which one truly stands the test of time.

The Objective: My journey was primarily fueled by the desire to circumvent a common nuisance - our summoned allies diving headfirst into a state of utter confusion, either halting their assault mid-battle or completely withdrawing from the fray.

Methodology: Armed with a stopwatch app, I embarked on a series of tests. The moment our summoned creature leaped into action marked the start, pausing only when it decided to take an unscheduled break or retreat. Imagine orchestrating this setup... yeah, it was as cumbersome as it sounds.

I conducted 100 trials - 50 amidst the sprawling expanse of the outdoors and another 50 within the confining walls of dungeons. Each session spanned 15 minutes, a testament to my need for a good freaking summon (or insanity, perhaps).

Before diving deeper, it's crucial to note that my findings pertain exclusively to the Xbox version of Sacred 2.

    Two Star Scorpion Head Analysis:

This summon is a DPS beast. Its unparalleled attack speed, combined with devastating damage at higher levels, is something to behold.

    - Outdoor Performance: On average, our scorpion friend took a breather every 14.4 seconds, with each pause lingering for about 5.3 seconds. Attempts at re-summoning yielded a mixed bag of outcomes.

    - Dungeon Performance: Here, the scorpion's breaks occurred roughly every 11.4 seconds, extending to 7.1 seconds on average.

Observations: The cramped confines of dungeons seem to exacerbate the scorpion's tendency to halt its assault. Despite this, it faces challenges across all environments, unaffected by level, gear, or strategic build considerations.

    Two Star Dragon Head Analysis:

Though it may lag slightly behind the scorpion in sheer power, the dragon compensates with agility, a cute face, and the ability to keep pace without constant teleportation - a significant factor since teleporting often results in a brief, but critical, pause in action.

    - Outdoor Performance: Our dragon ally disengaged every 19.1 seconds on average, with pauses lasting about 3.4 seconds.

    - Dungeon Performance: In dungeons, the average time between engagements dropped to 15.4 seconds, with each pause extending to approximately 5.2 seconds.

Observations: Compared to the scorpion, the dragon maintains a more consistent presence in battle. It's noteworthy, though, that re-summoning either creature only rectified behavioral quirks half of the time.

A peculiar find was that both summons tended to remain more engaged when I stood still (yet continued attacking), though the difference was marginal.

In conclusion, for those venturing forth with a Dryad build on console, the dragon emerges as a slightly more reliable companion, especially for players seeking to avoid frequent summoning hiccups. However, if you're armed with patience and a desire for unmatched DPS, the scorpion remains a formidable ally.

    Happy summoning,

    - Jay

Love the methodology , exactness and ...science! this insight is the kind of thing the Wiki needs! :dance2: Have you had a look at the Sacred 2 wiki page? Is there a place upon it where you thinkin your rating of the different summons could be of use to future players? Why and *by how much* are big drivers for players.  I can register you as a wiki contributor and you can write info in there, ooooooor... I can still register you as a wiki member and you yourself can add a lnk in the wiki to your guide here so that people reading the wiki and wanting more info can follow the web of intelligent playing and conquering to your prose here!!

Bravo Tovie! when i got this game I was playing Closed... so die once and that was it ...you were in the ground forever and all that time playing...loooooooooooooost... :oooo:

Which...makes me remember this banshee...I think we were playing with a group of players that was early, game just released, kind of time...and we were all creeping along slowly... slooooowly...and Boof ... out comes the Banshee...with its awful noise and its bone rending leech... dont know if it was the additive or the percentage one...but it was enough to put to rest one of the guys in the gane (lol it could have been someone from this forum..probably was  ) he was pretty upset ...and though when getting stronger the facility of taking out this creature came easier.. it was always paired up with that early feeling of how it took out our party and got a friend.

    Death in early sacred 2.... was F O R E V E R

Yeah, it's more of a struggle on Xbox than on PC lol, but I'll get there once I've got some better gear hopefully. The plus side is, the world is legitimately just fun to explore. It feels super hand crafted.
