  1. I do most of my posting on a Droid too! Takes awhile to get used to the spell check on the touch screen, dying you can add words to the dictionary by doing a press and hold on the word showing on the word list right below the text box, the fisrt word showing on it will always be exactly what you typed, so you can add words it doesn't know, like mage so it doesn't always change it to Magellan and I still haven't figured out a way for it to stop ignoring spaces I put in before a colon for an emoticon. Hope you are enjoying the phone, I love mine!
  2. Not sure on ps3 but on Xbox loading times are far longer than on PC so it is much faster to log on a second character on the same box and just keep logging your shopper on and off as it takes just a few seconds to log on and off since there is no load time. Sloeford on the Xbox takes over 30 seconds to port in and get to the merchant due to loading times. You have to load the initial zone which is about 15-20 seconds and then walking over to the merchant sticks you with two soft loading pauses of about 5 seconds each. Logging on and off is done in about 5 and almost no walking since you start right next to the merchants
  3. Anyone with a high level shadow warrior done any testing to give me a clue on what the game uses to determine envenomed damage?
  4. I started my shadow warrior along those lines but dropped death warrior for astral lord. .. it isn't really fun though so I might try death warrior again. Frenzied rampage just worked so well I stopped using other attacks, so I changed to a ninja build... ninja is boring. I finished gold at level 38 not being close to strong enough to be at the end. One time I messed up and my invis dropped and I was one shotted on the dryad island. If my buff is up everything just ignores me while I kill it. So the four guardians just stood there while I slowly killed them with my 30% or so hit rate. What I was doing before was death warrior and melevolent champion killing single targets with demonic blow, groups with sweeping blow and small groups with rampage, but rampage became better on single targets. But it was fun and effective. One issue I see with your build is you took blacksmithing which does not function on the consoles, so it was a waste of a skill slot
  5. Only way to undo it is to hit the power button before the game gets saved I hope you weren't too high level, or were planing on taking it in the long run
  6. Just a note, you listed mods for your astral lord abilities, but don't have astral lord focus or lore listed so you wont be able to mod the line. Overall looks like it would be a pretty strong character as long as you can get the equipment you need. My biggest problem with shadow warriors is getting good stuff, I ended up taking riding and enhanced perception just so I could have nice things. I also have higher level shoppers that built a supply of +skill and combat art rings and amulets
  7. I was trying to figure out if I should take the LL or Envenom for Frenzied Rampage, so I made a new character just to take envenom to see how much damage it added and what counted in to it. I cant figure it out, the numbers I am seeing just dont make sense to me. I looked at the tool tip with 5 different weapons and removed some pieces of gear that effected damage to see what changed as well as put on gloves with +2 frenzied rampage to see what happens. I got to learn something new with this test and that is that str effects damage on different weapons differently. With an executioners axe (gold weapon) the damage breakdown showed as Phy 223-347 mag 29-44 and poison 12-12 (weapon was +2 tactics so 21) Skull Splitter (gold weapon) phy 253-361 poison 10-10 Elven Steel Great Axe (yellow weapon) phy 254-362 magic 51-59 poison 10 Blade Of Mutiny (gold weapon) phy 142-179 poison 11-11 Steel Clever of Violent Reign(yellow weapons) phy 160-212 fire 11-13 poison 11 If I remove an item that is giving +11% damage the poison damage on the Clever drops to 10, removing the 11% damage and a +1 tactics lore amulet drops the executioner axe from 12 to 10 (either item changed nothing, had to remove both for the damage to change and it changed 2 points) when I put on a pair of gloves with +2 FR everything got even screwier Exe axe phy 239-372 mag 32-49 poison 21-21 (remove 11% damage drops to phy 229-355 mag 31-45 and poison still 21, remove one point on tactics drops to 20 poison Skull Splitter phy 272-388 poison 21, remove 11% damage drops to 260-370 and 19 poison Elven steel great axe phy 273-390 mag 52-64 poison 20, remove 11% damage drops to 261-372 52-61 and 19 poison Blade of Mutiny phy 136-170 poison 23, removed 11% damage item drops to 129-161 and 21 poison Steel Clever of Violent Reign phy 169-244 fire 11-14 poison 20, remove 11% damage drops to 163-215 11-13 and still 20 poison, remove 1 tactics lore drops to 19poison. I just cant make sense of what is being used to determine the damage, the one handed sword had the highest poison damage and a two handed axe had the second highest even though its base damage was lower than another weapon I had. From the str to damage standpoint (in case that will tell anyone something about the weapons) the Elven steel great axe and the executioners axe got the most damage at +108, the blade of mutiny got +55, the skull splitter got 97 and the clever got 60. any insight on how this works would be appreciated
  8. You can join games of higher difficulty than you normally have access to? Or are you meaning two players on the same box? edit: Got my answer today, finished on silver with 4 of us, the person we finished for started a new gold came and was able to invite all of us. And we are able to choose continue like you said to get to play gold, but lack the ability to start a new game at gold and can not invite other players.
  9. That isnt working for us, how do you start the game to have that work? We are having a person do the "continue campaign" option with the game set for online, but it isnt advancing anyones campaign except the player that made the game. For example this weekend we had a player host the game that had only done the campaign up through crossing into the human lands (the exact same spot my character had completed and behind the other two players) the next person fathest behind had just killed the Gar Colossus and in the game we went up through killing the octopus boss and then we called it a night. My character was still back at the place I started in, so having just crossed the wall into human lands and the person that had gone up through killing the Colossus was back to where they had been in the campaign as well. When I looked at my character select it showed my Campaign progress at where I got to in the multiplayer game, but when I hit "Continue" it moved my Campaign back to where it was before the multiplayer game. The options under Start Game are: Create Game Quick Match Custom Match We have only used the Create Game option, is it one of the other two that we have to use?
  10. I cant figure out how to make the multiplayer game progress multiple players campaigns at the same time. Even when starting a character as an online game, if we invite others in only the original persons campaign progresses, which makes me think it is just the single player coop from the PC version. Anyone know how to play an actual multiplayer campaign on the xbox? If so, please explain playing with 4 of us and not looking forward to doing campaign 4 times for each level
  11. Sigan, not sure what mods you took or buffs you are using. For grand invigoration there are two mods to lower regent time, one for Pyromancer and one general. The Pyromancer skin buff also can be modded for lower regeneration, I recommend using both. I know people say don't put points in stamina and I am not sure why though, I am guessing it is for the long run. At level 50 my mage that I went mostly stamina for does a lot more damage than my mage I went all int with. Both with .6 second fire balls, the int one damage is in the 3000 range while the stamina is 6000. I need to compair their gear for the plus skills and combat arts though, the stamina one has bargaining while the int one does not (still in good gear but I don't think as much plus skill, but also doesn't have points spent in bargaining)
  12. I am wondering the same thing. At level 20 my Pyromancer has under 1 second fireball. I modded the skin and invigoration first thing to get regen down fast. I am guessing either he read a few runes or didn't mod for faster regens.
  13. Got hamachi working yesterday, but only played for a few hours so not positive that it wont have same issue we had in opennet. We have been saving more often just to be safe though. For anyone else trying to use hamachi, we have the LAN game showing up and then disappearing. We are still able to connect to the game, you just have to quickly hit the join game button after double clicking the server as the button greys out fast.. sometimes takes a few tried, but the game seems to respond better over the hamachi network than the opennet.
  14. Biggest you will ever see is two stars, the higher your bargaining the more likely you are to see more of them and better ones of them. If you want the star you will want to get you find valuables as high as you can and pray.
  15. OK, guess I will just see how it goes. It is a character I have on the Xbox so it might work out since dodging around seems a lot easier than on the PC version. Having a control stick to move around lets me get hit a lot less than I do on the PC. Thanks again for the input.
  16. Having just started using the PC version online I have run into a couple of snags I was hopeing to get some info for. My friends and I play on open net or LAN as we want to be able to play our characters offline as well as online. We weren't able to get hamachi to work, but haven't gone through all the trouble shooting steps yet, so tried using open net to play. Both times we have played we had a different person host the game. I did first and my remote friend the second time, the third person is my room mate, and we are using a router through a single IP address. Both games had someone get to a point where they could not interact with anything, everything on the client side seemed fine as they could run around and look at their stats and enemies showed up, but they couldn't hurt anything, couldn't be hurt and couldn't pick up anything and the other players just saw the person standing there doing nothing. If the person leaves the game it doesn't save, so they lost everything since their last save. The first time it happened to my remote friend, the second time was to me. Does anyone know what causes this or a way to fix it? Also, is there a command to force the game to save? Only save option I see is to exit and save, but I want to save while still playing. I see teleporting does save, but looking for a way to save out in the field. Before I try to get my remote use friend to try to get hamachi working (each time I had to look up the next step of trouble shooting he would start playing the game again, so I spent more time waiting on him to exit out then looking up info) does anyone currently play using hamahi to be able to confirm it works, and if so does it work any better than open net to make it worth going through the hassle? Sorry for all the questions, but the people I am playing with make trouble shooting much harder than it should be and it doesn't help that they are both on windows vista
  17. Those aren't the order I took the skills in, sorry about that. Was listing them out of memory. I took armor at 25 I have an inquisitor in platinum that gets his butt kicked pretty bad, but he is in level 40ish gold armor still. He kills stuff fast but thing hit his really hard, so I am taking it that without ancient bark my Druid would prettty much just die in platinum and noib? Clausius, I wasn't even planing on using ancient bark I was thinging of running around with a pet instead. I had hoped ranged attacking with a pet out might let me not get attacked enough to need that extra protection from ancient bark, but from what you guys are saying and the other posts it sounds a bit like druids are too weak to live without it. If that is the case, does that mean fire mages don't work? I was planing on having my mate live with just constitution and armor lore for protection as well Sorry to ask so many questions, I know I should probably just try it to see how it works, but I figure if someone else tried in the past I might as well learn from them
  18. Thanks for the input After playing for several hours I am getting used to it, but I wish a and d moved the character instead of turning the camera. Next I need to work on not clicking on corpses when I am trying to attack. Anyone have any info to help? When fighting groups on enemies with my friends we had corpses everywhere I would try to right click to cast blazing tempest and end up walking over to a corpse instead same thing with incendiary shower, many castings lost to walk over to a corpse instead.
  19. I have a level 67 dryad still in silver with the skills: Tactics Lore Capricious Hunter Focus Cabalistic Voodoo Focus Concentration Combat Discipline Combat Reflexes Constitution Enhanced Perception Ranged Weapons Armor Lore I am worried because after reading some posts they seemed to imply that nature weaver focus and lore were required for a ranged combat build. I havent been playing the game enough to really know how everything works and my character farthest into the game is a level 65 inquisitor, with this dryad still being in silver (got carried away VD leveling and my gear sucks from it) so I dont know what I am missing that would make a pumped up ancient bark required for a dryad. Any help would be appreciated
  20. I have been playing on the xbox 360 version for awhile and just got the PC version due to numerous annoyances with parts of the xbox version (mostly the auto targeting). I havent been able to figure out a way to move sideways, it appears the only movement controls are forward and reverse, no sideways. On the xbox version the control stick moved you in whatever direction you pressed it and from other games I am used to being able to move in all directions, are you really limited to just forward and backwards movement in this game or am I missing something?
  21. Ouch sorry to hear that. I just had to replace mine about 4 months ago. I didnt have an elite, I just had one of the originals since I got one within about a month of release.. I didnt have the red rings, mine just one day locked up while booting and then would never even get to the boot screen after that I guess the system didnt respect me enough to even give me an error ring >< The arcade model of the system is fairly cheap and you can just stick your hard drive on it still. So from mine only set me back about $200. It is annoying that it has a built in memory card so every game makes you choose a save device and each time you select a character in Sacred 2 you have to pick it.. a little annoying, but I think its worth saving the cash on getting another hard drive that I dont need because I already have one.... mine doesnt quite work right, but it works My drive has something wrong with its connection so it needs to warm up before it works, so I have to turn my xbox on about 5 mins before I want to start playing, and then power it off and back on to get the drive to work, otherwise I get a single red bar on the ring and error E68 or E69. Also check when you got yours, as there is an extended warranty that applies specifically to the red ring of death
  22. You can transfer profiles and saved games with a memory card so you can have you and your friend both on the same console and there does not appear to be a level limit on single box games. Just to see how it worked I got a dryad to 67 on saterday using the VD trick in the desert, and the I remembered to level my own characters I need the dryad on a dif profile.. so now I need to do it again without all the plus experience gear
  23. I am not sure life Leach works at all still. Last night at level 22 two friends and I were killing the octopus boss and I was using a 1.7% life Leach weapon. Never had a single "additional damage" message pop up and when I was hitting my health bar didn't move. I saw the life Leach graphic going off, but I really don't think it was doing any damage or healing. This was with a two handed sword on the xbox
  24. I play on xbox360 and this game like several others does not work on normal TV resolution. You need to play it in HD or you can't really read most text. On my TV even in 480i you can read it just fine. If you are playing on standard TV, just get any HD TV/monitor and you should be fine. I just got to see sacred2 on a normal TV last weekend and had to leave the room because it was painful to watch If you are playing on a HD TV, you need to adjust your console resolution and make sure you are using component, svideo or HDMI. If I remember correctly composite can only do normal TV resolution.
  25. At level 50 with 175 bargaining I found about 10 lightsabers over just a few hours. I bought 8 of them... after 5 I made sure to not get more than 2 of any color and to make sure the stats didn't suck. None of them really compair to my main weapons, which is one with 5 all skills and a slot and the other is deathblow with two slots, both high damage with a little built in magic damage... which I got both at level 39 and can't find replacements for and am level 53 now.. I hate finding really good items because it drives me crazy when I can't find an upgrade
