  1. http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Map_of_Ancaria Hope that helps..
  2. There's one other 'boathouse' quest involving a submarine.. There's the diving bell quest in the western shore of Bluestone Lake - between Bluestonbury and Sonnenwind. You talk to the guy there, he says he broke a cog and the guy he sent to get the replacement is taking too long to get it for him. So you go down to where the guy's lying dead on the ground, retrieve the cog and make your way back. Only you find the guy who was building the diving bell got killed. Seems just after you left, some bandits arrived and killed him. So the cog is now useless as the kid telling you this hasn't got any clue about how the diving bell works. Pity... That quest had a lot of promise for being interesting...
  3. It's a series of mods to the game that unlock certain quests that were previously locked (Ascaron probably didn't have time to do them justice), drop items like legendaries, lightsabers and the like, and other cool stuff. It can be gotten by reading this thread: http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?sh...c=14478&hl=
  4. First off, Welcome to Darkmatters..! Like Scott said - it depends on the character you're playing, what CAs are available and what you plan on doing with your build. I generally tend to go for the FOCUS for a given aspect (when available) before I worry about Concentration. The FOCUS has the effect of dropping your Combat Arts regeneration time as well. Combos can be useful, but early on, while you're building your character, you probably won't have a full set of CAs to work with and your choices in building a combo will be limited. Two combo slots early on are more than enough for the most part. Additionally, you can generally find armor early on that has a negative or nearly neutral armor penalty. Getting a good bit of kit and hanging on to it until you find something better is generally the way I like to go with it. Wearing a piece of armor with a 20+ penalty on CA regen is madness. It's far better to keep it as low as possible. Unless that piece of armor has something really special - such as say, life leech; which is fairly unlikely - there's not that many compelling reasons to wear armor that will slow your CA regen and you down. Some pieces have a negative effect on character movement as well. The only exception to this would be armor blessed with Chance to Find Valuables +XX%.. If you can find something like that, a temporary slowdown might be worth the effort. Then again, you can generally find weapons that also have that mod and those don't have the CA penalties. I generally like to add mods to my CAs early to give them more teeth. Keep in mind that as you level up, the distance between levels (the amount of XP you need for the next level) increases, making adding mods take that much longer. This is not to say that those skills don't have their place, nor that your build idea is a bad one - just that you might consider the alternatives.
  5. Yah.. I generally don't dwell in the log book all that much - except for when I'm taking a screenshot or I've got a "what the heck just happened:)" kinda moment. Sometimes quests just happen and markers go off for no apparent reason so it helps to check it out. I've also had the benefit of having sat on the page you linked and doing a bit of subtle editing of it toward the end - I added the goodies you get for completing the quest among other things. The original author of the page didn't go into too much detail on that front.
  6. Ok.. The video makes sense until you get done with pulling the switch. Once you've done that, you're better off teleporting back to Teardrop Hamlet/Sonnenwind in the Elven region. It's a wee bit closer to your target than El Darrag. Also, if you're gong to do this BEFORE you've made it to the jungle area, I.e. you're going to do it when you get to Teardrop Hamlet, the baddies aren't quite as lethal getting to the starting point of the T-Energy pool area... Also, there's an easier way to get to the cave. Instead of going down to the river and hanging a left toward the east, you can go east directly from the monolith/portal area in the Archeologist Camp, while hugging the mountain between the jungle and desert region to your left side. The mountains will curve a bit and drop you closer to the cave you need to go into. Eh.. To each his/her own. There's also a Temple of the Gods just northwest of the Something Wonderful cave in the Jungle - visiting that one (and the other 19 temples) will give you the Polytheist achievement/trophy. Might as well hit that as well while you're in the area. There's also a merchant in front of the temple. My only other quibble with this guy's video - whyever didn't he use the Temple Guardian's Charged Grid CA against those bleeding Garema Ghost warriors. Those guys are just about impossible to target with a direct attack unless you've got the Ice and Blood expansion and a patch. You need Area of Effect based CAs like Charged Grid to nail 'em hard and fast. Oh.. And the RickRolling - that bit is just bloody unforgivable. As the Inquistor is fond of saying - I'd like to send a squad of crack Orcs to pay him a visit - for that transgression. The thing to do with the Epic Office Quest - get it as early as you dare in the game. The idea here is to get started sending the employees back EARLY in the game. That way when you actually do wind up getting to the jungle region, you will have already gotten all the employees from the Elf, Human, Orc, Seraphim, Dragonsea, Swamp and Desert regions and you don't have to go all the way back to the start and go through all of the areas for a second pass to collect them all. By getting down there early, you're ahead of the game. It kinda sucks wind having to wade through level 1 - 3 Kobolds when you're level is up to 50 or more. They're really just not worth the effort to squash at that point as they give next to no experience points. Since there are like 89 employees you gotta track down, it also helps to throw together a list of all of them, broken down by region, so you can mark them off as you find and talk to them. It's also a good idea to bookmark the Sacred 2 Map of Ancaria so you'll have a reference as to where some of these guys are hiding. Some of them are kinda hard to locate without it. The quest is sort of bittersweet in a sense. Ascaron did a really good job getting the game put together and such - and now they're gone and they won't be working on Sacred 3. So the whole premise of getting the band back together, while it's a nice fantasy, just isn't gonna ever happen in reality.
  7. It's actually called the Epic Office Quest in the log book. When you click the link you posted, it will reroute you to the right place. @ JC_Druid The Ascaron offices are sometimes referred to as the Halls of Ascaron.
  8. I'm leaning toward the short and sweet 1 - 2 liner beneath the reference method. Anything more would likely wind up being more mess than anything else. Having a pic, an inscription and a blurb about where it's from doesn't seem like a lot to base a page on. Granted, there are other pages that are limited in substance - unique weapons, legendaries, certain monsters, etc... - but for the most part there isn't much in the way you can add to them most of the time. I'm sure there are probably maybe a few more graveyards left to explore. We'll get 'em all eventually...
  9. Found 1 more in the El Darrag area - seems I should have swung the camera around cause I missed one the first time through. Wiki's been updated. Also found an entire cemetary in the desert region - located right at the foot of the temple in Khorum... It's also now on the Wiki... @ Gogo - I dunno... These grave inscriptions are anything but creepy. Especially the ones in Khorum. They're more likely to induce a HUGE groan than terror. The puns there are almost as lethal as the Lukewarm lumpy swill.. BAD puns..
  10. Yeah.. I noticed that.. Sorry.. I don't. I'll have to remember to grab one next time I play through the area.. The first time I played through there, he didn't quite one hit me.. But I was spamming potions like I was addicted to 'em. My poor TG wound up getting killed by the bugger a few times (softcore) and I decided to back off. I've since gotten smarter with my builds - and I've managed to kick it's behind - but I never bothered grabbing his stats.
  11. OK.. But compared to the Holos burger, this dish lacks in artery clogging goodness. If you look at the burger, it's got like 5 pounds (2.26 KG) of beef, tons of cheese, tons of bacon all sandwiched between two pizzas which has even more cheese, more processed meats and other stuff.. Relatively speaking, the Dibbelabbes is health food compared to the burger. Maybe if you slathered it in about a kilo of cheese...
  12. @ Chattius - That somehow seems VERY tame compared to the OP's post.. 1/2 pound of bacon? Is that all it's got? It does sound good.. I'll probably have to give it a shot soon... Though - aren't potato pancakes kind of redundant given the main course is also made with potato?
  13. Oh no, Sacred2 has turned us all into homicidal maniacs! We must repent, do pennance and only do good works from now on Er.. I dunno.. I think the game is a great way to vent life's frustrations. Better to club some virtual Orc than to club some wanker who cut you off on the highway or that boss who just denied that raise you've been hoping for. Virtual Orcs will respawn endlessly, while real people in life don't. As long as you don't get any whacky ideas like brewing your own version of Lukewarm Swill with Lumps and serving it to your co-workers at the next office party, I don't see the problem.
  14. Done... You've got mail... Enjoy... And Welcome to Dark Matters!
  15. I'll go along with that... BUT.. I'll also add a couple of other major differences: 1.) The transition to the human region. The light characters have to schlep around and through the cave while the shadow characters who walk up to the gate and are allowed through without a fuss. 2.) When you arrive in the Orc territory, the quests, while being more disgusting, also seem to be closer together. Most of the quests in Ruka involve a trip close to the north. There isn't that quest where you have to kill off a bunch of trolls to get their teeth to make the necklace to impress the chief dude. In short, the entire Orc territory is a cakewalk provided you've got a stroong stomach.
  16. Found 3 more gravestones in the desert region - just outside of El Darrag... Noted and logged on the Desert Gravestone page.
  17. Er.. Gogo - That's not Marilyin Monroe - that would have been Betty Boop's line. And still no joy in finding one for either.
  18. Lately, I've been rolling through the shadow campaign with an inquistor and I'm finding the shadow campaign a bit... weak. Am I missing something?
  19. Don't forget the ice hydra found on the Northland/Christmas Island campaign.. He's quite a nasty piece of work. http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Ice_Hydra
  20. Some of the best shows I've been to have been in theater like settings with seats.. Not that the seats were used all that much. The King's X show was pretty freakin incredible. The way they did "Over My Head" was just jaw dropping incredible. It's a shame they toned his voice down so much for the album. Then again, the Galactic Cowboys show at the Troubador was quite excellent.. It was at a venue without seats around the stage. Very cool being almost face to face with the bass player. Pity they broke up. They were a fun band. I know what you mean about acts that sound good until the singer opens his mouth.. There have, sadly, been too many of them... There was one band - I can't recall the name (probably for the best) that had a pretty tight sound, but the lead singer had a very un-heavy metal voice. It was too high and lispy.. BUT... They had great hair and I suppose the girls all thought he was "cute" or something - so the band was very popular. Ever listen to Dream Theater? Those guys are GREAT.. Kinda remind me of Blind Guardian as far as the music goes. They're also in the progressive metal catagory. Ah well.. This tour should be awesome... Looking forward to seeing them when they get here... As long as I don't have to dress like an Orc...
  21. For sure... If I can get in, I'll be sure to bring my camera, spare batteries and such.. Any thoughts on the opening acts? Never heard of Holy Grail nor Seven Kingdoms.. Were they there and were they any good? The Los Angeles venue - The Music Box - seems to be fairly small - only 1300 seats for a show. I'm gonna have to get on the phone with the box office on Monday to see if they have tickets left. Then again, Blind Guardian aren't exactly all that well known here. I should be OK... Hmmm... Probably should remember to bring some spare duckets to visit the swag stand..
  22. BIG news folks, our favorite Sacred 2 band - Blind Guardian - will be on a North American Tour starting in November 2010! OK...OK... So they're the ONLY band in Sacred 2... Either way, it should be a heck of a show. Here's a list of the tour dates and times, complete with the venues and prices for admission. Start saving your duckets kids, its less than a month away! http://www.blind-guardian.com/2010/09/08/n...ates-confirmed/ They're even going to be here in my neck of the woods..!
  23. Since I started with the Sacred 2 demo - my first character was the Seraphim (it's the only character you can play in the demo). Once I got the real game installed, I started off with a Temple Guardian and have since played all 6 of the ones available in the base game. Haven't got Ice and Blood yet so no Dragon Mage.
  24. You can find the next quest marker by opening your log book and clicking on the blue marker at the bottom left of the quest book. Make sure you've clicked on the last quest on the list and the marker should appear on your map. Unfortunately, I don't recall offhand where the General is. It's been too long and I have been playing other characters since then.
  25. Simple solution: Call in Ozzy Fudd, Wabbit Slayer! "In the dead of night, there's a shimmering wight, gleam of a blade, and the devil was paid., when the axe comes down, a chilling sound, Steel hits the head, another wabbits dead! I'm a wabbit slayer, a guitar player with a nasty habit, KILL THE WABBIT! heheheheehehe" But seriously... Maybe some dogs geared for rabbit hunting could deter the lot of them? A pack of beagles or some such could do the job.
