  1. I can confirm I will be available. Although a little earlier than 11am CDT would suit me better... 9am CDT?
  2. Yeah this run was nice! Thanks for playing everyone! When we started with the final bosses, it was bath time for the kids and they did not want to cooperate... A lot of yelling and door slamming later and suddenly I found myself in the dog box because I could not help out. Sorry for leaving immediately after the run, because I would have loved sticking around for some more party action, but I had to try and mend my wife's anger Now I have to be a seriously good husband for a few days so that I can sweet talk my way into next weekends dungeon run
  3. Nice to see the other angle on this fight. Max, these two have to be separated, because if they are together (you'll see hearts flying around when they are) then they just cause a world of pain. I was at the other end keeping one of them busy.
  4. Thanks Lujate, but I just noticed that you have yourself listed as the standby slot... I think it's only fair that you'd be in the 5 since you organized the 2nd run? I'd be happy to take the standby position.
  5. Nice vid Lujate! Those dang Area of Effect rings hurt if you can't get out in time! Funny to see how my tactic suddenly changes from trying to CC at the start to mostly ranged at the end... At least I got a few of my virtues off and was good to see in the vid what the range was. It sometimes felt like I was running all over to get close enough to you guys so the effects can apply to my team also. I'd just get close and someone would dodge roll further away The Virtue of Courage applies a Aegis (passive block) on me every 40 seconds, but if I activate it, it applies to me and my team mates. I have an elite that would make me invulnerable for 3 seconds after which all virtues are recharged, so that's another free round of Aegis. But it felt so useless in the dungeon - not like PvE where it saves my skin a ton of times.
  6. I'll be available if there is a 5th spot open/required.
  7. Thanks guys, yeah I think perhaps I have more of Anet to blame than my drop in magic find... I noticed yesterday that even with my added 4% magic find, my drops are still white and blue mostly. But the few greens I got were actually usable where a lot of greens a few days ago were not nice at all. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other - not much to add then.
  8. These past two days, I got a sword with better damage, armor pieces with better protection and a ring with better stats. But by equiping these new items I sacrificed about 5% magic find and I know it does not sound like such a big deal, but definitely notice the change in drop quality. I was rather used to a lot of greens dropping and about a yellow every 2 hrs. But since yesterday I've not had any yellow drop and I've found 2 chests that only produced blue items. It could be that my luck just took a bad turn for a day or so, but I'm interested to know what you guys think? I'm thinking that I'd need at least 4% magic find to settle my brain down... because I'm soloing most of the time, I don't want to drop my defence and power too much. I still think that I'd have to put together a set of magic find armor sooner or later. there's always Omnom bars and Peach Tarts
  9. Hi there! welcome to DarkMatters!
  10. Well those console players certainly deserves a handshake and a round on the house
  11. Sersiously? Well I can't make any promises, but I'll certainly try - for now it's a 70% chance I'll make it. We know the route now and know what ammo to bring to the party. I'll have to get more accustomed to my new elite also, but I guess my game plan of "best offence is a good defence" will remain - with just a little more of staying clear of those Area of Effect rings. Were you thinking story mode or explorable mode?
  12. I'm glad it's done. We were stuck a little with only 4 players trying to get past 2 rangers and 1 elementalist, but perhaps that's Anet's way of saying "this is not the way"... the mobs certainly seemed an impossible challenge at times. I don't mind that mobs and bosses have such a huge amount of hp, but I think for story mode, they should decrease the damage done a little. Felt like lemmings a lot of times and looking at the map, you just see this steady stream of blue dots (party members) running into battle from the closest waypoint. I've encountered a number of serious boss battles in PvE and most times I can take the heat with a number of shields to my disposal. When things get real tough, I have an invulnerable state I can go into to escape and recover, but in this dungeon, I felt a little to fragile. All I know is, next time, skip as many mobs as possible since the drops were not special enough to go through the pain and frustration of killing them...
  13. Oh man, I don't know how I'm ever going to get a legendary crafted, but from the first time I saw video (language warning), I knew I'd give anything to get my hands on Twilight!
  14. me and a whale a lil glitch - I had to restart client to gain my body back! I stumbled upon a puzzle that lead to a ship in a cave... safest place to build a ship if you're scared of the open seas I suppose...
  15. OMG lmao, will never be able to look at Max again without thinking this Seven of Nine is now yer new callsign Saw you in game with that armor, but did not know it was racial armor! I thought it was just a well fitted set of random drops - I suppose, just 'cause I can't afford Tier 1 armor, that it applied to most of us Real good lookin' set and worth every penny!
  16. yes, camera's please so I get to experience the dungeon in better quality afterwards
  17. Unfortunately, just as in RL, the ingredients are bought at the cooking traders and can drain your piggy bank early game! But remember to ask for any collectable ingredients you might need. Sad thing that we can't buy recipes at various karma traders to pass on to other characters (soul bound on purchase).
  18. just as a matter of interest, this is what A would look like without the yellow background - not nearly as effective...
  19. yeah I second everything already said. I'm just having tons of fun in this game! I'd be soloing mostly and then there's a boss or a group event that kicks off, and you just see players stream in from every direction to take part! No loot stealing, no gathering node stealing - everyone gets reward! Levelling is a kind of afterthought for me at the moment and I'm just playing it like Sacred 2 - for the fun and the loot! I just wish I could play at higher gfx settings... I've not had the Wasp queen encounter yet and I my pc crashed while fighting the Behemoth... since then I spent a few hours at the swamps but my timing appears to be off, alas. One day, my preciouuuus, oooonnneee day! The game is getting real challenging at the zone I'm in now, with mobs fighting back more intelligently and also dishing a number of knock downs and stuns. But it's a good kind of challenging. I play a guardian and doing little dodging and mostly making use of shields to protect me against damage and knock downs. Every character has a ranged and close combat option (although IMO the guardian suffers most with ranged attacks), so you don't need to contemplate too much about which character is ideally suited to your play style. Just pick one you fancy with a race you fancy, go out and start the killin' But one thing I can say for sure, when Anet promised there is no 'go out and kill 10 rats' they meant it. That said, I just got an achievement for slaying 100 innocent creatures... Rabbits, Raccoons, owls, they cross me, they gonna pay.... *scwewy wabbits*. EDIT: I just want to add good value for money!
  20. The travelling between quests is exactly what the game is about! My active quest list is huuuuuge because of this and I like it! Whenever I hit the road, I look to see where my active quests are and plan a route to the next town based on them. On this route, you pick up more quests and deviate a little from the original plan, only to run into more quests! That is what Sacred is to me. How else will you encounter mob upon mob upon mob and kill, kill, kill, and loot, loot, loooooot!! There is always that chance that this mob fight will drop that specific set/unique/legendary item you've been playing this game for hours on end. And why purposefully upset the fanbase in this regard? If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Who's this "games rep" and how do we send a map of Ancaria with a big fat sad face to them?
  21. I'm in Harathi Hinterlands doing a heart quest in Ruins of Holy Demetra. Running through the ruins I come across a tomp of Saul D'alessio (nice to read from GW1). Nothing to do there I move along and come across a statue of Dwayna and inspect.
