  3. Have a look at the additional files (pictures) inside the download folder and pay attention to the highlighted issues. ModEnabler.jpg: Left side of the ModEnabler shows available MODS, right sides shows installed MODS. Sacred2 Directory.jpg: ModEnabler and MODS folder should be placed here. The text file shows the CMP Version. Sacred2 Ingame.jpg: On the bottom of the screen version, build, language and CMP version is shown. Sacred2 locale Directory.jpg: Without installed Mod only your language is shown. With the Mod installed, 10 subfolders for 10 languages are present. Sacred2 MODS Directory.jpg: The Subfolder CM-Patch should contain the content of the downloaded zip. CU Marcus

Make sure that - sacred 2 is properly installed (of course) - cmp 140 installed and shows in menu screen - Modenabler installed in sacred 2 directory - mod 150 unzipped in MODS subfolder - enable the mod; Version should show in main menu screen CU Marcus

  7. Try to open the file with 7zip wherever you saved it. If it opens, it is not damaged at least. If not, repeat the download. Then unzip the file in your "my files" folder. Then try copying the New subfolder into your sacred2/mods folder. CU Marcus

  11. V0146 is available Form the same source and integrates the Item Mod 1.1. Still for tesing purposes only. Translations are not complete but ongoing. CU Marcud
  12. V0144 is a version designed for testers. It integrates the community patch mod. Because of the new stuff there's a warning that you will lose these items if you switch back to V0140. CU Marcus

A few comments from my side: - We're building the Patch with a similar product like Ascaron did before. - Even the old patches were sometimes flagged as trojans. - The updater can be renamed or even deleted, that won't stop the game from working. - I myself prefer to exclude the Sacred2 directory from being scanned by my AV product. - During the patch process also ZIP files are altered. Some AV realtime scanners try to open and read the ZIP Düring this procedure. This lead to corrupt files in the past and will do so in the future. - After all, patching is a similar process to infecting. Files are being altered and inserted. Sometimes changes are made to the registry. The only difference is the intention. CU Marcus

  15. They were included in a previous version, but the content was only "Coming soon..." as we didn't finish translation in time. Now the books should show the correct content, so you can actually read the story. Correct. The initial problem was "Ancient Secrets". The quest sends you from the seraphim island back to the highelf area, so all enemies were way too easy to fight. So it's just the maxlevel of the areas that was removed. Depends... there were only a few reactions to V0136 and v0138, so the interest is getting less by the time. That's quite normal for a four-year-old game with a follow-up in sight. On the other hand: There are a few ideas and things to be done noticed in our bugtraker. But e.g. creating a new boss from scratch is of course way more time-expensive than placing an existing NPC as a boss on the map. So things get more and more difficult to handle. I myself only have got a few things to check "in general", some translation fixes and maybe some quest errors, but nothing big in sight. So from my point of view a V0150 is quite possible, but there won't be bigger changes anymore. CU Marcus

  17. Not yet. I'm waiting for some translations and fixing some minor bugs in the meantime, and czevak / LT are working on some 3D-texture-issue that became more tricky than expected. I'll guess we have a "duked" release date: "When it's done" ;-) But V0136 is available on the bugtracker for testing. CU Marcus

  23. Mutations sets are not rare, they are not very rare, they are extremely rare! They are also extremely powerful because of their >30 sockets The "Ancient Secret" quest is only one small job to get those 4 books - a fifth one can be found elsewhere. They will tell an interesting story from Ancaria's past, but by now they are not ready. Someday one of the coming patches will deliver that story. CU Marcus
  24. Difficult. I think this relates on the hireling-behaviour. If we change this it will effect the whole game. I tried to fix the hirelings not to commit suicide that often this way, but I decided to create two new behaviours for hirelings and changed the references that are used in the quests. Changing these base behaviours is not a good idea. I can only change the references for quest-related hirelings, but not for summoned ones. So this is a dead end by now. CU Marcus
  25. It works if your target is only one level away. I.e. if you are on the surface and your target is on de 2nd underground level, you'll get that misleading circle. In these cases - for example the "Ancient Secrets" quest - an additional target on the first underground level is built in, so the compass and the circle will guide you from one checkpoint to the next.
