  1. There are two Buffs that do give some very positive Synergy/Bonuses that I know of- Grand Invigoration(High Elf) - The majority of Buffs give a penalty for CA regeneration(longer CA recharge time). GI however gives a bonus(reduced recharge time) for all High Elf Combat Arts. Whether or not there is a 'ceiling limit' at some point(level 200 not withstanding) I don't know. Its not a replacement for Concentration/Focus even though every little bit helps. BeeEffGee(Seraphim) - This buff gives + points to the Ranged Weapon Skill. I believe the first level for BFG gives is +4 to Ranged Weapon Skill. There are two things about this - 1) Ranged Weapon Skill must be picked before hand. 2) The buff has to be active. I don't remember if the Seraphim has to be physically holding the BFG for it to still give the bonus or not. One thing to always look out for with equipment is Damage Conversion to Fire/Ice/Magic/Poison/Physical stuff. Any equipment that give a bonus to all elements in one way or another is also a plus. . .however your character may end up looking like a giant fashion faux paus.
  2. Also depends on what you do or not do to your computer. Talked to too many donks who complain about crappy performance on a game only find out they did something to a piece of hardware(like overclocking) to 'improve' it. Also beware of the software like anything that claims to improve RAM usage. Vast majority of those programs actually slow down a game especially with loading times. My system is- Athalon Dual Core 2.5 GHz 2 Gig RAM Nvidea 9800 GT 1GB Can play Sacred 2 at full max with PhysX active with no problems. Do want to get some more RAM though. '64KB of ram is good enough for everyone' my butt!
  3. Had a seraphim. and was doing very good right up until I had to fight those Earth Elements to impress the Orcs. . .for some reason the game decided to pull a major curb-stomp on me. . .and I was playing Bronze for cryin' out loud! So far I had to 'bury' two special mounts. . .DANG IT! Its easy to forget about F12(Teleport to nearest activated Resurrection Pole) . . .
  4. Actually Runic was smart with TL. People complained about no multiplayer but the truth is that is a good thing. For a brand new company servers cost money. . .A LOT OF MONEY. I think that's why a lot of new companies end up tanking right after the first game even though the game does well. They spend a whole lot of money on that kind of stuff and get loans from banks/investors and when those people start wanting their money back, the company can't pay(which happened to Flagship Studios who made Hellgate) and the company goes bankrupt. No Torchlight doesn't have Multiplayer, pumped up graphics like Guild Wars, Sacred 2, or Hellgate: London. Its roughly 823 MB in size when installed. Yet the game sold well, there is enough demand for a sequel which will have multiplayer, and most importantly the company is still around and now has the capital to do things like make the game much bigger and include multiplayer. What Runic is aiming for with multiplayer. I think people will be very happy. http://www.pcgamer.com/2010/08/04/torchlig...-runic-games/4/
  5. Agony of defeat. . . (You'll know it when you see it.)
  6. GACK! Don't want to complain but, links are all over the place along with the instructions. As a suggestion maybe a pinned thread with the OP with instructions and files that can be easily updated. That way there isn't so much confusion/randomness.
  7. On a side note about Raging Nimbus - you may have to change your graphic settings. I can run the game with all graphics maxed out including the PhysX add-on. . .and RN will still cause a rather nasty lag and that's when I just turn on the computer that is completely cooled down and start playing right away.
  8. I agree with you. All my toons that use multihit CAs seem to hit within that range. Sometimes it looks funny as a creature starts to run at my toon from outside the range and just as it gets within "the circle" he falls down when my toon is using the CA. Or better yet when they try to retreat, get the strike edge then WHAM! marchlord - I noticed that today. After PS'ing a mob and not moving, I did a quick pickup and saw that one of corpses was right on the green circle.
  9. (Bolded part) Heard that before - *cough!*Flagship Studios*cough!*. A little tip for would be gaming developers - there is a heck of a difference between developing a game and running a business. . .and unlike business sims, there's no 'save games' for real businesses whenever they screw up.(At least before bailouts anyway.)
  10. Naw, not complaining, just curious.
  11. Yeah, I came to the conclusion that PS doesn't know the difference between a Pole Arm/2H Staff/Sword(which would have the reach) and a regular sword. 'course if I EVER get a pair of lightsabers I can just pretend my Serph. is using the Force.
  12. Tend to stay away from 'official forums' except for any technical problems I might have with a game. The only 'official forum' that I ever got into was Runic(Torchlight). IMO, fan ran sites are more fun to hang out in than official sites.
  13. Was thinking about the viability of Perception and this a good case. I won't say Devotion is the worst. . .I will say the 'god button' is 'forgettable.' Between the various other ways to fight and survive the game, the deity button becomes a long lost memory. It would have been better for the deities to give some kind of 'bonus' or 'leg up' for the character at the beginning of a fresh game(Bronze). For example choosing the war god will give a permanent 10% chance for a critical hit or evade. Choosing another deity can unlock the first skill slot without waiting to level up first.
  14. One thing I've noticed about DS/PS combo is that sometimes the Seraphim will kill a bunch of enemies that are on top of her but if she still has a swing or two left for PS and if there is an enemy is outside of the range of a sword swing(relatively speaking 2 or 3 feet) she will take the swing and hit the enemy even though by rights its outside of the sword's strike zone. Is this intentional or is it a bug? On a side note - do unique mounts carry over to higher difficulties(Silver, Gold, Etc) or is that completely reset?
  15. Got Sacred 2 a couple of weeks ago and decided to find the best Sacred Forum and so here I am.
