  1. Oh, I don't know haha. I just sort of draw it at random, just a sketch. I destroyed the idea of proportions on this though
  2. Sorry for the quality... Anyway, just a quick sketch. I've been having issues getting myself to draw so this is about all I had time for today; took about twenty min. I like it for the most part, some issues but at least I drew something! BTW, that is a Kolbold head It's my shadow Temple Guardian Oxus, only character I've managed to stick with so far.
  3. Lol, I suppose those are the things I got good at lol. I'm not too well rounded though, probably die before I could draw a good scenic image... Anyway, I'm sketching out a temple guardian right now, he looks cool imo.
  4. ^^What he said. Lol, sorry, I wasn't being too clear on it. The game isn't that bad on your PC imo. Perhaps at the time of its release it was, but now a day it's on the bottom end of the spectrum. (I can't even run Deadspace 2 on this PC, and Mass Effect 2 only on medium, but Silverfall can run full blast without issue). It's a fun game though; I'm liking the nature path at the moment.
  5. You can use the two classes in the vanilla, starting at level 1. You can also use any of the originalfourin earth awakening at lvl45 to start, so you can play from the beginning with all 6, I main a lizardman so far, level 16 lol
  6. I think Aegis may be right. It's been a long time since I had drawn on paper, so maybe simple things like character illustrations would be better for now and not scene or set piece works. I have a sketch of that Inquisitor, though I've got him running with a malestrom/levin combo to where he's smashing undead into this huge pile in front of him while the souls are drawing into the reaver (which is shown as a pit inside of his chest that his cloak normally covers lol) all the while the levin is frying the massive lump of body parts haha. It looks cool but completely messy. I need to do some sketches to get it all going first; the textures in the inquisitor image need to be re-done, I need more fine details to distinguish the sorcerers from the trash mob zombies. I think I'll just do a few character stills for now, but in a particular style I've developed over the years. The best one that I can explain would be this one: http://art-of-omunall.deviantart.com/art/Hmm-208779199?q=gallery%3Aart-of-omunall%2F28701268&qo=17 http://art-of-omunall.deviantart.com/art/Mr-Addiction-Sketch-208906880?q=gallery%3Aart-of-omunall%2F28701268&qo=16 These are very scribbled drawings, but the idea for the lines are the same. I need to do it very clean and detail afterwards, and not at the same time...sort of makes a sketch look too rough if I don't. So for now, I'm going to draw an Inquisitor with dual wield, and have some reaver sould swarming around him. After that perhaps I'll do a temple guardian in some new armor (steam punk, just for kicks). Simple sketches, just to get a feel for the pencil again
  7. You know I thought I was having a breakdown of sorts so I went to the doctor. He told me that I was having delirium from sleep deprivation and it was causing strange dreams. I told the doc that it was the dreams causing the sleep issue, so he offered me some sleeping meds. I've been doing quite well since; no more dreams about monsters killing children haha (I know, kind of odd but I draw stuff like that anyway so it's not that unusual...just how vivid they are and how they manifest a specific scenario in the dream that bothers me a bit because I don't understand it...) I slept like a rock last night, but I'm now waking at 4am...but that's okay I suppose. I appreciate the comments; I don't normally put this kind of stuff up on the internet because it seems like a guilt trip of sorts. I don't ever think anyone should feel that connected or feel sympathy toward what happened as it was just a fact of life, and if any of you are religious in any way, it was most likely supposed to happen anyway. Can't control what's happened, only manipulate what you have happening at the present Also, that would have freaked me out if my child asked me somethin like that and to put a thought in my head. I have worries like that about my wife, something could happen when I'm out of town or something and she asks me what I would feel like if it did...drives me nuts now when I leave because that illogical thought that someone is going to hurt her as soon as I go haha. It's more like a belief; If you believe something could happen, be it thinking that someone with a shotgun is standing next to you while you read this, it would give you enough reason to react as such, regardless if it were actually real or not...belief is a scary thing. One of the biggest issues I had was anger and depression after this all happened, but I always tell myself that anger and sadness are not true emotions, only byproducts. If you feel confused, you can stay confused and sort it out, or you can go to the byproduct and become angry (which isn't the first emotion) same with frustration, turns to anger and or sadness. You don't need to go there, so I think that trying to stay realistic and logical may be the best medication I can give myself...even for the dreams. It's a dream, logically that's ridiculous to feel un easy about it.
  8. The no smoking thing is going stress free right now because I'm still smoking haha. I'm having trouble quitting; just got off of serious pain medications so it's kind of hard to quit another thing...but I'll make it out clean soon enough. Practice makes perfect man! I started out a few years ago drawing stick figures and taught myself to where I'm at now. I'm not very professional or technical, but I like to sketch so it makes some interesting images. I'll have some drawings soon, just been a busy week. You should make a DA account and post up some of your works!@
  9. Well it was neither actually haha. The dev team wasn't very well known (and has since split off to a company called spider) and the game wasn't supported/advertised well. They didn't take care of the german and US releases, and only yhe french release. This caused the game to get a huge lack of attention to where it never achieved that cult following that Sacred has gotten, and never got popular enough to where it went mainstream...which is sad as it's a perfect example of cult hit gaming. Sacred is a very original hack and slash that helped it get away from the "diablo clone" category, and it makes for a great game to play. Silverfall was more like a huge project of ideas. The developers had artists create the game world before they had programmers, and they pretty much told the artists to come up with anything they wanted...and told the programmers that they had to do it like the artists said, or just not work there lol. It's awesome to see how much work they put into it, and how you develop a character. The build system is interesting. Each class gets racial bonuses; The goblins have bonuses to magic resistance and ranged attacks; specifically guns, while something like the troll gets pure melee bonuses like chance to hit. This means they can specialize easier, but can do all the same. You could easily have a goblin shaman necromancer battle mage that can wear heavy armor. All the racial specifics are is things to boost your specialty, but you get a nature or technology tree that can take the hit for the class differences. Nature gives things like an essential "ancient bark" (damn near the same name as the dryad lol, same type of skill in a way) and things like mana regen over time. They can also raise nature creatures and turn into werewolves. The steam trees give you steam powers, implants, etc. You can summon a robot to fight by your side, and things like that. You also have the trees that magic has; elemental attacks, Area of Effect, freezing, healing, summons, weapon buffs, passives, DoT attacks, dark attacks (curse and debuff as well as powerful magic). The melee trees depend on what weapon you use; if you are using two handed weapons, you get speficic attacks. The same goes for single handed, fist, and dual weild or sword and shield. This allows you to specialize depending on the weapon class you like best. Ranged works the same (crossbows are awesome since they get a knockback shot) and they work the same way. Magic is the only one that doesn't have a weapon specific attack set. Armor and weapons are level and attribute focused (you may see a two handed sword that needs 35 strength, 12% technology, 14 agility, etc) and then see another two hander that needs nature and intelligence, so any class gets to use anything, it's quite unique. It all really depends on your preference, and the fact that even a goblin can be a great mage and rival the elves, but has ranged attacks to use instead of a magic attack increase because of the races. Making focused classes with an alignment focus and weapon class focus and racial benefits causes an interesting tick in your head if you like to optimize. Also the game has an awesome crafting cyctem that has you hunt enemies on runs for parts. Another thing is that the game has no fansites to speak of an zero info on a wiki...it's sad
  10. Just remember to download the newest drivers from tages if you are runningwindows 7 (there are two, 32 bit and 64 bit). That's about all that it needs to work right. Also, the game was poorly optimized for PC back then, but it needed some unusual specs (huge video ram and little cpu ram...Holy Hannah!?) Anyway, the PC I'm running is just a laptop but I've yet to see any issues when running the physics and everythingat max. It's actually quite pretty IMO, just waiting to get to transform into a werewolf
  11. Yeah I noticed the differences of the non addon version. I love the expansion, while I'm not running a Lizardman yet, I'm going to after the goblin (I want the lizardman pure nature for the werewolf transformation) I'll have one of those as well. Check out some player patches, I found a few that give better fixes like reward differences and mod choices. Also, goblins rock
  12. YOU would love it since it's based on steampunk haha. Idk if the game still have sites up since it died out after acred 2 came out...not sure if the release had something to do with it but the french publisher didn't support the game outside of france, and it wasn't well advertised. The reviews on it were trash, but after the expansion it had a lot of fixes and now works like a charm. You get to choose from 4 races, Human, Elf, Troll, and Goblin. You can choose from the Lizardman and the Drawf in the expansion though; you get to make choices on your affinity during the game, so you can choose nature or technology (steam). You get companions throught the game, most of which help you out A LOT as the game is difficult...a few more than 3 enemies tends to look bad for you, and you tend to run into monsters that are quite large, or do a lot of damage in forms of direct AND dot. I love it because it's got too much of Sacred 1 in it; the UI looks a lot like it in fact. You can specialize with any class, so a Troll can be just as effective with magic as the elf, but each race has specific skills and weapons that make them differ in this, so elves tend to be better with magic, but only because of the race specific skills; they all start with the same attributes and outside the race specifics have access to the same skills (and there are numerous skills). The map is set like that of Sacred 2, but since it's much more difficult, it will take longer to explore...sacred you can mop the floor with huge mobs and uncover the map fast just by moving, but silverfall levels enemies with you, so they are always powerful and give you good experience. Not to say your character won't become OP, it's just that it takes some time for that to happen to where you can take down the mobs of 30+. Check it out; they have demos on steam or online, it will let you try out the game and see it's awesome magic system as well as an interesting, but slower paced hack and slash RPG with a lot of fun factor tied in. Too bad it didn't get as much attention, I love the graphic style in it. Here is the trailer BTW, this didn't show any bosses, just large enemies that will also get champion forms. I think Sacred 2 is better in a lot of respects since you really get to "build" your character, and it's multiplayer rocks since you can mow down enemies twice as fast...but sometimes Sacred 2 needs to have a break, and this game is perfect for it. The multiplayer is awesome andworksover hamachi, but it's slower paced since you still wouldn't want to run into a mob haha.
  13. Has anyone here ever tried Silverfall? I picked it up yesterday in hopes of having a less "intense" hack and slash. Sacred has always been awesome, but it requires a whole lot of planning and you fight a lot of huge mobs, sort of making this over powered beingin the process haha. Silverfall has not let me down so far. I really like playing a goblin or a troll haha. It's a bit more slow paced in comparison (you can't mow down huge mobs, as you will surely be destroyed) but the enemy designs rock and the combat is awesome!
  14. You know, avatars would be pretty fun and get me into drawing again. Mind you I don't have a digital medium outside covering with the mouse (which I can do so long as the pencils are clean and not a sketch) so I'm sure I could manage some things to work with. Perhaps I'll try to do that; but now the problems is what Ideas. I tend to draw pretty fast so you know...and it's an avatar so there isn't much going on that would take too much time aside from a portrait or something of that nature. Also, Steampunk Temple Guardian
  15. Thanks much. Sorry for the late reply, I had no internet for awhile. I ended up running a dwarf. So far he's about level 50 something and having loads of fun, but I picked up sacred 2 so now I'm stuck playin that for now haha.
  16. All I can say is that I hope at LEAST the game will support single player and multiplayer with the same character on an open net. I like to keep my file when the servers go down 6 years later haha. Also I want Lan back like the first two. Past that, it will be sacred, and I will buy it.
  17. I may be able to do something like that. I'm back on paper and all I have are sketch pads though, so I may be stuck with doing something more simple...but I'll figure something out for a boss fight. Maybe I'll do a fight against the Gar where the character is just barely jumping out of the way of that hammer fist to the ground lol. Man, I can't wait to get a new tablet...
  18. To Stormwing: I thought that may be the issue but I'm not sure. I'e tried a lot of sleep aids but it's not that I can't sleep, just that the dreams get to this point that they just kick me out of it, and I'm wide awake. I was up for 53 hours before I crashed for the 5 hours I got last night, and now I'm up again haha. I'm not even tired is what's kind of freaky... BTW I'm sorry about your Father. I understand how you feel; my mother has alcoholic dimensia (SP?), not near the same cause but still something that is hard to watch of a parent I'm happy to hear he is okay though, I wish I had the same news to say. To Chattius: I understand that. I remember the day he passed away (it was on my wife's birthday) and noticed that everything else just kept going. When we found him the rig had already set in, and seeing an infant, let alone my own son like that, was difficult. I didn't even pick up the phone right away because it was way too far gone, but from what you said that you deal with, you understand what I mean. It's sort of a shock, but you just have to accept it or else you would loose your mind rather quickly. But I also remembered things like thatl parent that loose their child in situations that are horrible. I knew where my son was and that he was at least happy while he was here, but I couldn't imagine the pain of loosing a child under circumstances that even a single choice of not letting them go outside would have affected, yet it doesn't change anything...just the weigh on your mind would seem like it would be unbearable. Either way that child taught me more in those short weeks than I could have ever taught him; he brought me back from a very dark place in my life, and that is something I always feel was a god send. He may have come here to help my wife and I for that purpose, who knows. I suppose the dreams may just be a sign of some residual things, you think? From what you have explained as a fire fighter, have you ever had any kind of left over emotions of dreams like this? I'm not going to go into the details of what the dreams are, but I'll just say that they are very vivid and disturbing, but I'm aware it's just a dream lol, just keeps waking me up. I'm not sure if it's because of what happened, or if it's something left over from what I saw...but knowing you've seen things like that, it's easier to talk about it; I can never really explain that sight, when it's not an adult. My biggest issue with it may because I've had no one to actually speak with on that level like you did with your friend as I've been the one doing that for everyone else that knew my son (My father, wife, mother in law, etc) so I sort of got to a point where I didn't even mourn. Hell, I've still not done it, just never felt needed or logical, sort of got to a "fact of life" thing from it...sounds bad but you know what I mean.
  19. Oh god, this is perfect Just what I was looking for; I didn't think it would work...but now I'm a very happy person :)
  20. Any of you ever have problems with sleeping due to terrible dreams, and if so, how do you work around the issue? About a year ago my son passed away (he was around 4 months) and ever since then I've been having these crazy and vivid dreams. I get tired and as soon as I fall asleep, I end up waking up as soon as I hit the pillow
  21. Lol, editing this post, I was sayin a bunch of hateful things about vegas haha.\ Anyway, I'm not too fond of vegas, not enough culture and it's too much on the party time. Not that it's bad, just that it's not good to do nothing but, and people out here tend to not think anything else it worth the time, you know?
  22. Yeah that's what got me hooked. I got my buddy into the game recently (he's got a 360) but his tv sucks so I'm going to go dig around and find him an HD tv so he can jam on it...I feel bad because I remember not being able to read the skill set on an armor lol. So how long has this site been around?
  23. It's going to end up being pencils for now, no longer have a tablet for digital (which is good as digital was spoiling me haha) I made a few sketches but nothing concrete so far, or there was a whole lot of nudity so I can't post em here
  24. Really? wow...not good. I just made a High Elf today to shop too...lol. Maybe I'll go ahead and stay away from it, I've already noticed how stupid the game is gettingwith the gear I'm getting in even silver. I've played her for about three hours since I got her to shop, just got to the area before the nameless bosses are, sort of made it too easy. I didn't think it would continue like this with the sets. It's all good though, maybe I'll just buy some stuff for lower levels and delete her.
  25. Does hunting have a lore? Anyway, I see your point. I'd like to end up modding it all but maybe I'll work with silver mods or the like, or just see if I can cut back in general. I keep forgetting how "on paper" is much easier than the actual time frame of building something, and that making a good build requires a lot of planning. I think I'm understanding the mechanics now, but not so much the time span and experience of playing a character to niobium haha.
