    Name: Random Rare Swordstaff Collection Type: 2h Lightsaber Class: Rare Requires: Community Patch 1.50 Since Community Patch v.1.50, Dual-bladed lightsabers now appear as a new weapon type available as rare (yellow) items. These items can be found from all the same monsters that can drop two-handed swords and with enough Bargaining can be bought at vendors. For the characters who keep Bargaining at level, they are common enough merchandise to make it possible to use them as main weapons for a character build. Like 1h lightsabers, they can appear in all 4 color varieties and gain damage from the Willpower attribute. All rare swordstaves share some common features - they sport the "chance to disregard armor" modifier that is a feature of the weapon class (similar to the original one-handed lightsabers) and starting from the Silver difficulty they have at least one high quality socket. In 90% cases it is a gold one, but sometimes it is replaced with silver. Other than that they have two more modifiers - an offensive and a defensive ones, that also have a chance to turn into sockets. They also have custom names, so that you could tell them apart from other things when they drop. They are called "Saberstaff", "Lightstaff" or "Doublesaber".     The selection of 2h magic staves in Sacred 2 was incredibly small before the CM Patch, making this staff THE weapon of choice for 2h staff users. The selection of modifiers on it are a caster's dream... no wonder they made it the Dragon Mage's class quest reward.

    Yeah I tend to agree, melee weapons that use Dex or Int tend to pale next to their Strength-based counterparts. I addressed this in both of my main mods, amping up the damage coming from attributes.

    I don't know all the details, but here are some stray observations: Champion and boss enemies have better drops generally. All creatures have a "dangerclass" attribute assigned in their scripts which I believe increases their drop quality. Rats and wild animals generally have the lowest danger class. Bosses are at the other end of the spectrum. It's more or less intuitive. Legendaries only seem to drop from bosses. Sets can drop from most any enemy type. But bosses and normal/elite enemies have their own lists that they like to draw from. Bosses seem to love the "mini-sets" while the full sets (aspect sets) tend to drop from normal enemies. As you can see, drop quality and drop type seems to be more tied to enemy tier and not enemy type. A human archer and a goblin archer aren't going to have significantly different drops. The main drops tied to enemy type are Trophies and Shrunken Heads. Ghosts and Energy-class enemies LOVE to drop jewelry, including normal, uniques, and sets. Farm ghosts if you want rings or amulets.

    Yeah notes like that give an item more of an identity for the reader... insights change it from just a database entry into a look into the strengths and quirks of the item. BTW Steve, feel free to add some of those notes into the Wiki entries while you're adding the download buttons to the pages.

    Actually you can once again thank my love of metal for planting the name into my head, as Therion is the name of one of my favorite bands I think when I was a teenager I used to think "Mega Therion" was a place, and the title was just a phrase, like "we're going to Mega Therion, wanna come with?"

    Yeah this set was made by our member dimitrius154, as was much of the most awesome new armor that became part of the Community Patch. He said he wanted to deck out the Inquisitor in some heavy armor and he called the set "The Judicator" after War Machine. I'd never heard of it, so I looked it up and read all about and invented the set piece names based on the blurb for this unit: "The Judicator channels Menoth's wrath by delivering the punishment of fire unto heathens. It can unleash withering barrages of rockets while bathing the unfaithful in great gouts of holy flame. Its cortex is linked to a blessed reliquary containing the interred remains of an honored priest whose essence serves as a reservoir for divine energies, filling the machine with spiritual power and enabling it to fight unrelentingly in the name of the Creator." Change "Menoth" and "the Creator" to "Ker" and "the Inquisition" and that's pretty much the spitting image of our Inquisitor, so hence:
