  1. A little story behind this one. Thanks to a Alliance mate who tipped me off to all the goodies lying around this planet.I probed him last night and found everything laying around so simmed it and launched my recyclers then about an hour later I see activity on his planet. Not wanting to loose that much Deut. I don't launch. I figure now he knows someone is watching him he will probably move all the goodies to another planet. But this morning their all still there, so I launch the 80 recyclers I have nearby and move my ships into attacking range and launch the additonal recyclers. Waiting until I get the recyclers and attack ships close to the same hitting time I suddenly notice I launched the first wave of recyclers to the wrong cords. I recall the 80 resend another 80 now watching the arivall time of the second lanched wave of reyclers I launch the attack ships. And one hour into the attack again I notice new activty on the planets. No word from Wolfskin that it's him on line I let it go. And as they say the rest is history. However I now have no more fingernails left since I chewed them all down during this attack. 2. Thanks Genenut and as to your question "How are your belongings? Everything mostly salvagable?" I'm assuming your reffering to the hurricane results in the picture not the last storm. The last one nothing got ruined but the one in the picture we pretty much lost everything, car, motorcycle, appliances etc.. And to your question Gogo. The insurance company's didn't cover anything. Seems they told people on the island your covered for hurricanes but this was a storm surge so no one is covered ! Well du what do they think the storm surge was caused by? The government did "chip in" FEMA agency were handing out checks after they interviewed people to see if they deserved them or not. So that helped a bit.
  3. Yeaaaa I got the rotisserie early and of course I couldn't wait. It is a amazing the number of people I know, some do, and some don't have Weber charcoal grills but most were unaware that they do have a rotisserie for it. In the grocery store picking up a chicken to brine and put on the rotisserie I saw a nice looking, small, just enough for two, pork loin roast. I couldn't resist I bought it and took it home and put that rub I gave a recipe for along time ago in this thread. After a few hours I took it out and put it on the rotisserie. If you own a charcoal weber grill notice how big that additional ring is! Keeps the food away from the coals. I think I have become after decades of BBQ'ing a Weber spokesman *lol*
  4. What I really would of had to have a picture of is the cats sitting on the bed watching their potties go floating thru the house and the look they gave me at the time - sort of like Well what the %@#$^ is this all about ? *lol*
  5. This is why we were worried This happened last time. There are porches under that water and sidewalks The water came up to the top of my motorycycle's windshield and on my Chevy Suv the water was 1/2 up the seatbacks!
  6. Wow Thanks guys Just got back on and Gogo had sent me a message about this thread. Actually storms/hurricanes are hard to predict cause once they leave Cuba they hit warm water and we have had a tropical storm turn into a class three hurricane. Luckily this time we lucked out just staid a tropical storm, just tons of rain. I had my car and motorcycle in a school parking lot a block away that was 6 feet higher than me. ( Remember this is a flat island highest point is only 17 feet above sea level) So everything looks o.k. That being said I went to work today and stopped at a store on the way home to buy beer what else? *lol* Opened the trunk of the car with enough water to have little fishes swimming am drying it out now. Again guys thanks for the thoughts. And I am as of a minute ago out of my rare vm
  7. O.K. getting ready to try something new this week end. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...l%3Den%26sa%3DG I have used a rotisserie before on a charcoal grill but it has been a long time and never on a Weber before. Which for some reason cooks things sooooo much better. I will take pictures and post. Thinking about brining and doing two Cornish Game hens ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One of many reviews I read but got a kick out of this one ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.0 out of 5 stars Mmmmmm, turkey, June 11, 2004 By S. Peterson "theswedishchef" (Santa Rosa, CA) - See all my reviews After brining my 13 lb turkey overnight, I started up the coals and set the turkey spinning. A little over 2 hours later, I took it off the grill and let the bird rest on the countertop. The smell drew every teenager in the house to the kitchen. The bird was completely picked over before I was able to make the rest of meal. So much for the other food groups. It was completely devoured. There was literally nothing left. My wife, daughters, and their friends kept repeating, "That was the best turkey I ever had. You deserve a trophy!" We now have their friends calling wanting to know when I'm going to roast another bird. Folks, this is a must-get addition to this grill. Forget about the chicken with the beer can up the old caboose. I am not the most experienced grill master in the world but this thing made me into a neighborhood hero. I'm off to Safeway for another Butterball. I wonder where I'm going to put my next trophy? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  8. One thing I look for they make is frozen vegetables in packages where you steam them in the microwave in their package. I find the taste is really good. Hard to tell from fresh. Probably something to do with steaming in the bag as opposed to dumping into a frying pan
  9. TLA vrs TLAIs this what ogame is coming too?
  10. http://www.antiqbook.com/boox/intern/20605.shtml
  11. Wow ( pun intended) so it was a recipe from the game? Mmmmm? like as if I have enough empty time to do it but.......I might have to try the game
  12. Thanks I copied it. Just was out food shopping a couple of hours and picked up some chicken so will have to give that a try. Tomorrow I will order this http://www.amazon.com/Weber-2290-2-Inch-Ch...ef=pd_rhf_p_t_1 maybe when I get it I will try your recipe. Was it made to be cooked on a BBQ?
  13. Sorry you only get the eggs *lol*
  14. Deleted because I am not sure of the subject WOW World of Warcraft? That wouldnt have anything to do with a recipe *lol*
  15. Thanks for all the tips. I am getting better now, it almost looks round But no how bad it looked at the start or now it still tastes great. I will continue on in my quest for perfection
  16. I should expound a bit more on the picture. The round building on the top of the building is a cistern it collects rain water. It has been there for quite a few years but not in use as that, well as far as I know, now. Below it is a bar. the open eating area has chickens running around and in the tree's which the tourist seem to love ( some reason the health board looks the other way). If you leave the area from the backside on the right of the picture and went across the street you would run into "Johnson's restaurant" a Bahamian theme restaurant where Cracked Conch" is a specialty. Mmmm? sounds like another post I will have to explain.
  17. *lol* had to work so I got beat to the post about "Quaker Grits" I saw that on the shelf along with a couple other "commercial" brands of grits but elected to go with a more traditional brand. At a local restaurant my wife tried this recipe for breakfast awhile back and raved about it It's not classy like yours Gogo but funky like we like it in Key West http://blueheavenkw.homestead.com/brmenu.html here's a recipe I think Gogo would like for me just grits and butter ( sorry Bondbug) http://www.stiinc.net/shrimp.htm
  18. Grits check it out picture and all http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grits grits dipped in eggs mmm will have to try that ( I am at work now so not much time to post)
  19. I'm eagerly awaiting Gogo's response to this thread since I believe he has Salsa almost daily
  20. Wow by the time I got back to this thread there have been many response's and they are correct. # Salsa (sauce), any of various sauces of Spanish, Italian or Latin American origin, from the Spanish or Italian word for sauce is the definition and sauce is a liquid used for marinating and basting as you cook. A dry rub is a seasoning the can be put on as you BBQ or up to 24 hours before to help season the food. Also as a rub it forms a nice crisp looking "crust" on meat
  21. oh oh I think I screwed up I used the frozen loaf and did everything else but didn't lay it out to rise. I thought it was done after I thawed it in the microwave?
  22. Well this thread is going to be too classy for this old outlaw biker I am happy with just drinking Budwiser. Although when my dad use to visit me up in Canada from the States I use to give him Brador ( right spelling?) one or two and its sleepy time for him *lol*
  23. I as you might imagine have some sauces on hand for my cooking. This little line up is just the hot sauce's mostly for indoor cooking. I use rubs 90% of the time on the BBQ
  24. And so the on going attempt to make a pizza continues. Who knew the way I can cook that the simple pizza would be such a learning experience? Anyways this attempt it is almost getting to the round look we have always come to expect and see. But despite the look it really tasted great.
  25. That shot with the bike was in 2005 just before the hurricane took it and my car away this is my new bike ( well new for me a 1994 vulcan 1500) and FINALLY someone has me beat in age. I am happy to loose that contest
