  1. The number of swords that require sword mastery isn't worth the effort. True, it makes Boneslicer pretty useless in later difficulties but I have found its pretty useless compared to other unique swords that I only ever use it in Silver anyway. The only other unique is Quetzals and its not that great anyway. Sword lore mostly improves 1 stat per weapon, so though DW replaces most of its purpose, you still gain something from having both. Since you have both lores Steve, I would get both to 75 anyway. There is just not as much rush to get sword lore as DW, in your case.
  2. Yeah, you can get them from bosses or something with the most recent version. Of course, its still faster to simply shop for one. CM Patch lets those few character classes without bargaining to actually think they might get one now. Shopping on an SW will never get you this item.
  3. Two would be great, but I don't know how common they are. I have found 1 in two years, but that is because of CM patch, so much of that 2 years is irrelevant. All I can do is play and see if any more drop.
  4. I think I was wrong about part you are on, you have probably completed the 1st two parts of quest and didn't have any new links after the ones in Thylysium? Either way, I think this is where you want to be next: The game just sort of stopped after I did the Thylysium part, it was only from knowing where it should be next that I could complete it. After you accept this guys quest the chain will work again, though you will need to highlight it each step as it looses focus
  5. Okay, I believe I am right behind you now in quest, the part you are on is called "A Search for new life". is it not? I looked on another SW who has finished chain, but I couldn't tell from description exactly where he is. I will play tomorrow to find this general, from memory this part was not showing a blue circle last time I played through. I think the guy you are after is in the army camp behind Clearview, as from here it warps you to a cave that is also used in the Blind Guardian quest chain. I will confirm it tomorrow (currently doing all the quests, so I am not in a rush to go into Thylysium as there are too many there)
  6. I never thought I would get a Light Sabre, what with the small chance of finding one in a shop, and the need for bargaining in first place, my poor Shadow Warriors had just resigned selves to never getting one. Then CM patch 90 was released, making them a possible drop. I ignored it thinking that is nice. Then the Alien in the Crop Circles quest dropped this: I thought they are meant to take damage from willpower but highlighting skill doesn't show this. Having GR boost willpower is a bonus. I will need to roll a Temple Guardian to make full use of this weapon. I only just noticed it has a fire portion to damage, lucky I added a ring to it that does burn damage and a lava item. The advantages of having a blacksmith, the socket it has normally only accepts bs runes or ca runes. I love the sound it makes, though the constant noise is a pain. I have noticed talking to npc's stops the sound.
  7. The class quest is the same on both campaigns. What region are you in? I know quest well but I have to say I just ignore NPC names mostly.
  8. SV is fastest way to end game but you don't learn much from the build. Only way SV could be any more broken is if it let melee work with it, and then maybe I wouldn't have complained so much (Lol) as I would be playing a SW as a rogue, but Dual Wield SW is easy enough already, especially with RE buff.
  9. I had to share, if I get another set of fists like the ones below I will have to play a character that has high dexterity. Even though they use Dex, I used them on the Guardians and they went down fast. Life Leech % on a 1 hander.. Yes please
  10. Pretty sure the arena above clouds quest only exists in light campaign, but it has been a while since I did the Shadow campaign.
  11. perhaps DM island isn't really on world map but is a separate layer? When I started my 1st DM I wondered if they might be the best explorers, only because they have access to this island and no one else does. I didn't know there was a 2nd layer of dungeons, explains why Slevin said there are 3 layers on a SIF post.
  12. I am surprised r00ster didn't link a post he made on SIF forums about each different class, but anyway. Here it is: Difficulty of character. Not sure if it is still current. It is much easier to restart from level 20 than it is from 120, I have listened to rooster's advice before and have used a build very similar to the one he listed above for the last year. Once you have a good build, levels fly past and what was a struggle before, isn't any more.
  13. Getting naked to see what your actual skill levels is, is just dumb. This would have made it so much easier. Sometimes I have a few weeks between plays and trying to remember what is what level is difficult.
  14. The only reason I would take 2 weapon lores now is to use fist weapons. Since they use sword lore to open 1 bonus (normally) and using 1 as opposed to 2 just seems pointless, I can see a use for sword lore/Dual Wield but I would need a lot more fist weapons 1st before I went this spec, as they are fairly rare (they only exist in CM patch). Generally, 1 lore is enough
  15. Its good now. Unless they answer ticket, we will never know if it was just timing or if that ticket pushed them along somehow.
  16. On returning to cave, and going into 1st room, the quest giver is there. So if this happens to anyone else, just go in and have a look around. The Shadow Warrior quest doesn't go backwards, the next step is always in the next region.
  17. I am not sure if this is a new bug, since I haven't played the Shadow Campaign in ages. At the part in quest where you go into cave next to Forest Guardian on Dryad Island, the game went silly tonight. As I got to cave, I opened a chest outside entrance and for some reason game redirected me to one of the Staff NPC's in the Elven region. Since it had been a while between playing, I followed the lead and then slapped myself, as I realised class quest is the same on both campaigns. What you should do is go in cave and kill someone... hopefully the person you are meant to meet for the quest is in the cave, or class quest is broken for me (not that I really need another legendary axe, I have a few of that one already). This is on CM Patch 90. Has anyone else had this problem? I know you can't do it on closed anyway but some of you might play offline also.
  18. I assume it isn't meant to look like this from now on
  19. Imagine if every quest in Sacred 2 was actually an Easter egg. Makes you wonder. I said similar in this thread on the SIF regarding the Jazz cave and what Olms are. Todays date is 10/10/10 which is binary for 42... Douglas, where are you?
  20. Was nice to see they intend to try to avoid the heritage of Sacred 1/2 with regards to QA. Sacred 2 was better than 1 in some regards (Less broken quests) but QA also needs to make sure it works well on hardware and that was an issue for a while. Still nice to read something is happening
  21. Not all builds use DW, its hard to do if you choose polearms as your weapon type (Or ranged). DW two poles, that would be fun (their attack speed is similar to 1 handed swords but do damage of two handers). Its a fun quest but I have about 8 Boneslicers now, so I don't bother too much with it any more.
  22. You get Ellen's ring at end of quest - if you are lucky enough to complete it. Along with the legendary mace, and possibly other things. Its all on: Here, just scroll down to bottom.
  23. That is the quest he means. I don't bother trying it any more (too may suicidal escorts, they can do it themselves if they want to go somewhere, don't need more red x's in journal)
  24. Instead of ridiculing llama about the electic poo, I should have made my own imaginary quest up. People could be running around trying to prove me wrong. Perhaps poo is llama poo, I am glad there aren't any t energy llama's in game.
  25. Grats on Legendary Gogo, shame it has knock back. Doesn't surprise me that Fen Fires can drop nice rewards occasionally as they are painful to have to face up to, and its almost worth running away if you see 5 or more. I will have to remember to use magic resist against them. Lol at BG giving legendaries, I will have to do it more often now. T Energy dragons might have been a handful.
