  1. The way I got mine was I had a level 15 or so character that had about 40 points in bargaining. they have the same icon as a sword, but are of weight 2, and they are 2 stars. when you view the sword itself, it will not show up in the box with the sword graphic. the damage is pretty much always half physical and half something else. I found 4 like that, but it probably took me an hour or 2. they definitely don't show up everytime.
  2. I picked up 4 lightsabers early on with my character. he was a level 15 TG at the time with about 30-40 in bargaining. every one of my lightsabers are named differently (can't remember exactly what each one was, though I do know at least 1 or 2 were not named *something* annealed blade). every one of mine has the sword symbol next to it, is 2 stars, and has a weight of 2. also, when looking at the graphic for them, it is all black, and nothing shows up. also something to look for, is that everyone of mine also is half physical damage and half something else, so that little colored bar that shows yellow for physical will be half of some other color. hope that helps. oh, and like the previous poster said, you pretty much need bargaining to be 2-3 times higher than your level. one other thing to note, many people have complained of their game locking up when dual weilding lightsabers, and some have complained of it locking when only using 1. I haven't had this problem, but I haven't used mine a whole lot.
  3. I can recall, at the very least, I've had 11 of accompanying chars with me at one time, 2 of them ran away from trouble, but the remaining fought. Would be neat to gather a mob, and just pack them around as distractions. But, in thinking , they would most likely, be in your friggin way in tight spots. 11 eh? I may just try and beat that...
  4. I wonder how many followers I can get if I just go around and start picking as many escort quests as I can...
  5. ok, thats what I figured, but I wasn't sure if it was different between console and PC
  6. I play on the PS3, and we can teleport to any portal at anytime (once they are activated anyways). It's just the monolith that we can only have one activated at a time (which we can also teleport to). Is this different from the PC?
  7. Characters on the consoles are saved locally, not on any servers at all. When you create an online game, and invite some friends, I believe that you pretty much are the server. I'm not sure if that is the same for the PC or not, as I only play on the PS3. I'm just curious, but if the characters on the PC are stored on a server, can you play on the PC while not connected to the internet at all?
  8. When you Scrap items in the field (which destroys them) you get money for it, albeit a lesser amount. It took me a while before I actually read the screen that said "are you sure you want to scrap this" to realize that it actually paid me for the items I scrapped. I don't know of a way to destroy items without getting some cash for it.
  9. It's the left stick on the PS3. The right one resets your camera. Clicking the Left stick will also show you barrels, chests, and other things you can interact with, as well as what loot is what when its on the ground. And it will show you info about the enemies you are fighting.
  10. I'm not positive but I believe it is increased before, but it only shows once you hit mastery. I'm not sure if that was what you were trying to say there.
  11. Playing off of what gorf said, the silver circles are all your quests, the big one is your active quest. Like he said, the gold circle is the main story line. The blue circle is the next step in your class quest.
  12. From what I can tell, you can't smith away from an NPC, you can't socket amulets in anything but gold, you can only socket a few rings in bronze, all the rest in silver or gold only, and it's not any cheaper with my smith character than it is with my non smith character. I'm not sure what other bonuses smithing is supposed to give you.
  13. right next to the price on your inventory tab. Its the number next to the icon that looks like a bottle or bag or something
  14. Haha. After reading that, I went back and looked into it. I didn't even know that propelled levitation does damage at all or that it has a bonus to defense. I just thought that it was supposed to get you over rivers and walls and cliffs and stuff.
  15. The general advice I have seen is that you want 2-3x your level in points put into bargaining (note that some/most of those can be from +all skills, +general skills, or +bargaining gear). No you will not be able to buy set gear. It apparently was possible on the PC but was patched out. It is not possible on the consoles. I'm not sure how much it will gimp your HE, since I have not played as a HE yet.
  16. SW can take EP as a secondary skill (meaning you need 5 points into Blacksmith, Riding, or Divine Devotion first). but you are correct that they cannot take bargaining. I think you should still be able to use items with the +%chance of finding valuables though. it also could just be bad luck.
  17. Survival bonus will help you find stuff. so will the Enhanced Perception skill, and gear with the +% to find valuables. if they have higher of those other stats, they might find better stuff. or they might have a higher level guy who gives them lower level stuff. also, they might be socketing things. if your weapon was the same as theirs, but they had something socketed in it to add damage, then that might have been the cause of that. Hope that helps. =)
  18. typically when you eat a rune, it ups the regen time (not true for all CAs apparently, though I can't remember which ones are the exception). so many times it is more beneficial to eat 1, and up the level with +CA gear (which ups the power but not the regen). Area of Effect = Area of Effect. meaning spells or CAs that do damage to a group of enemies within an area. hope that helps. =)
  19. I found my first one last night. I have a 26 TG with Barg of 64 (after all +skills). it didn't take too long to find, I just kept hitting different vendors. I found mine in Clearview. one thing to note, everything I have heard (and my own saber backs this up) is that they are all 2 star swords with a weight of 2 (same as a dagger). when you view the details about them, there is no picture at all, just black. also the damage is typically half physical and half something else. mine happened to be named something about an energy sword. my game has not locked up on me using mine yet, but I havent used it too much, since my other sword is actually more powerful. good luck finding yours.
  20. Very interesting build. I'm definitely a fan of the Area of Effect. Currently I'm playing as a TG but more of your standard melee/shopper. I think the next build I will try will be one of these, however, I will probably swap Smithing for EP, since I play on the ps3, and smithing is broke.
  21. actually, I don't believe that is true. I know it was true for sacred 1, but I think the rune drop rate algorithm is different for sacred 2. At least I have not found any site talking about sacred 2 that has said anything different anyways.
  22. I just noticed (and this is one of the reasons why I actually registered), that if you do not register/do not log in, you cannot see the dryad guides section under the walkthroughs/guides. Apparently it is the only class section that you cannot see unless you log in. I thought that this would be the best place to mention this.
