We have seen Tomi's and Telari"s artwork posted so I was wondering where are the poets and song writers? To start I shall give you one of my poems. Feel free to critique. The Sleeping Giant it lies there at one time it was smaller and weaker if you had walked on it's back in it's youth it would have opened up and swallowed you whole Now that it has grown bigger and stronger it is now safer to travel across it's back still you know you must not wake it as you stride across it's back you see the footprints of people and the tracks of animals who have walked this way before and you feel even safer as you walk then you stop you hear a low growl a deep thumping so deep you can't hear it with your ears the sound travels up through your feet it is the giant stretching in the noonday sun just as a cat would it stretches pushes against itself it still sleeps you see the crack in the ice of the lake on which you stand © Todd R James 2001 - all rights reserved.

I love it when mom gets the hankering to do up some of her family's food, it's always a good feed. But I did make her jealous a couple of years back, My father got real sick while he was living down in Florida and when I when down to see him my brother, his wife and I found a small family run Polish restaurant and we called her and read her the menu to ask what we should order.

What does music mean for you?
Lord of the North replied to tomi's topic in The Daily Grind: Real life right here!
Thanks for the clarification Tomi, It's hard to be completely ostracized here in the states due to a diverse culture. but if you move from one region of the states to another you can find one type of music is more popular than another and due to exposure tastes can be broadened. thats why I like the Currently listening to thread, I enjoy finding new song and music styles to enjoy. I had a radio show at my local collage station and my taste in music exploded at that time and so did my parents. -
Well I 'm not sure what movie is the first I cried at but I can say that I never cried for old yeller ( before you say heartless Ba*#*rd, I never saw it so how could I cry ) But when E.T. "died" I did cry but not due to him dieing. When I saw it the first time I was shocked, when I saw it the second time I did cry but because my older brother started pounding on me and hitting me and saying " You Ba*#*rd, You Never told me he died!"

What does music mean for you?
Lord of the North replied to tomi's topic in The Daily Grind: Real life right here!
Music is a focal point of sorts in my life. It can help with emotional pain or just when I need to relax. It's important for almost everyone to some degree I think. As to a conviction or an arrest, I never have but here in the states you really can't get arrested for taste in music but you can for the volume you play it at (disturbing the peace, causing a public nuisance). -

Eldest son is only 60 miles away. Yesterday an f2 tornado touched down within 5 miles of his summer camp and cut an 8 mile path of damage threw the area. all the boy scouts are ok. -

love the View Tomi. When cam Mom, me and our boys move in with you and your family? -
you can do work in the grave yard to earn gold to buy weapons, armor and upgrade your lair. You can also go on quests. Working, hunts and quests get you experience to go up levels and you can train to improve your skills.

Lord of the North replied to tomi's topic in The Daily Grind: Real life right here!
Here we have been having almost non stop rain all week. I don't feel so bad about it tho because the eldest son is away a summer camp an dhe has had to sleep in a tent. -
I found a pic of a poster that was released at comic-con this month it shows some of the cast members including "Zachary Quinto takes the lookalike cake as Spock". Zachary Quinto (for those who, like me have trouble place a face to a name) plays Sylar in Heros. And you can find it here with an article about it. Star Trek 11 cast poster or you can get a better look at him here Star Trek 11 offical site and click on the downloads.
