Gogo told me to join months ago but I have been slack. I will apply for wiki access also soon. Anyway, I had a few thoughts that I sent to gogo as a pm on Sacred 2 forums but he never noticed them, I guess.

 

Anyway, I was wondering, on the Combat Arts screen, is there any reason why you haven't hot linked the pictures of each class to the links? So if you hit Seraphim picture, you go to the link that is displayed below it? It just seemed to be a logical approach.

 

The uniques page needs work, the Seraphim uniques are the only ones that show anything if you hit "Show All" page. If the Scribe Gauntlets of Atherton are a quest item, all 6 classes should have theirs linked or none at all... it looks like Seraphim are favourites

 

There should be a page that shows the class rewards separate to the legendary/uniques page, so every class can easily see what they get. Currently, it could be seen to show the Seraphim has no quest.

I was thinking, does it make any sense to mention what patch a set is included in? I only ask as we have been trying to work out what drops the latest sets and to be honest, I only know Shadow Warrior sets so if I find something from another class, I cannot tell if its a new item unless I have seen it before.

Hmmm, some excellent suggestions you've made. I think all three of your suggestions are really great ones that we will certainly add to the wiki. In fact I just did your first two. Well... The second one partially. I can see that you are finding things somewhat inconsistent on the wiki in terms of design and formatting and I can see where your comments are coming from. From a reader's standpoint your observations are likely things that others have thought to themselves as well. The reason why these strange inconsistencies are abound is two fold. First, and foremost ^^, the SacredWiki is in fact a hobby site. We like to enjoy SacredWiki and the process we take with it needs to be fun. This means that we're not exactly jumping from page to page making sure everything is aligned absolutely perfectly. Granted, everything will be aligned in time but the SacredWiki is in "fun mode". I'm the "back room" tech dude for the wiki and the image linking you mentioned is the sort of thing I would set up. Unfortunately a simple image link on a wiki can be a complicated matter which means most contributors do not know how to make one. It so happened that it was a contributor that added those images and likely didn't know how to make the images link. All that to say is that contributors will at times add formatting to the wiki which is fantastic. Then someone else, like yourself, may come along and suggest an improvement and in turn someone like me will come along and implement it. Such is the way of a wiki. We don't aim to be a professional site. We could try but then it would be work and I already have that. ^^

 

Suggestions are awesome for a wiki and yours were great ones! Suggestions can draw to attention something that maybe has been overlooked and quite possibly some will be quick and easy edits. Not everything is possible of course but it can be fun to try.

My expertise in web design is 0/100 but I will try. I am more of an ideas person. I may have to buy CE version so I can contribute more pictures, and I am pretty sure I have a lot more quest names for you. I have tried to do all of them in both light & dark campaigns... just some escorts are just not worth trying at the moment.

 

I wasn't having a go at anyone by what I suggested, it was just every time I used the ca page I wondered why they weren't linked. Thanks for explaining it

 

Since I don't plan on playing online at all, I won't be applying to join clan. No reason apart from liking the relaxing time on single player. I am sure you are all great people

You don't need to buy CE just for the wiki Normal screenshots at high quality look fine. The elite details are usually lost in compression anyway, you need a pretty big picture to really make it worth.

and you're not the only one who is completely trown in the deep when he starts editing, just take a look on some other pages and you'll grasp it very fast.
