A New Bug - Screen Goes Black?

so I turned on my ps3 and right after the ESRB rating my screen goes black.... thats it

when I enter the XMB theres a little scrambled box where the load disc appears

when I exit game it does a system reset

the only way I found to fix this was reinstalling my game data utilility

This could just as easily be a physical problem with your game disc or a problem within your console. Rarely do game "bugs" have what sound like hardware symptoms.

No need, just press F12 and go start isle & black screen bug fixed.( on PC )

Try teleport and I bet its fixed on Consoles, if like the pc graphics error...

Its easy and freaked me out a few times here and there.

Yep I have had it happen a few times..and usually teleporting has fixed the problem. However not always and once or twice I had my system reset on exiting the game (If the game didn't lock up) However I never had to delete my old data. That is not however an unusual occurrence on the PS3 and I have known many people who had bad MGS4 data and it would not let them play the game at all..delete data..problem solved.

 

 

On a side note for you PS3 users..almost 90% of time if your console develops problems..reformatting the Hard Drive and reinstalling the PS3 OS will solve it. Obviously that doesn't work if your BD is going bad itself.

Yes, this is an odd case

 

Must be the system, or most likely the game that makes you restart everything.
