Rathmiron 0 Posted January 30, 2010 Share Posted January 30, 2010 uI don't really like the default keys, so I changed them to ones more to my liking. but, every time when I start the game up, the keys have been changed back to default. is there any way to prevent this from happening? 'cause it's very annoying to have to change the keys every time I want to play. Link to comment

A successful log in and game play with a save and exit to desktop should save them. if you are just entering the menu and the changing and leaving to see if the save, I probably will not. Modifing a optionsCustom.txt may be the trick. I will find you a link. optionsCustom.txt topic Link to comment

Schot 407 Posted January 31, 2010 Share Posted January 31, 2010 I've put together the changes you asked for. You'll need to create the optionsCustom file yourself. You can follow my camera settings guide to help you set that up and then put only the text below into your optionsCustom file. There's always a chance that I've made a mistake somewhere so just in case you should copy your options.txt file into a safe place. Once you read the camera settings topic you'll understand what I mean about the two files I mentioned. Guide to Customizing the Sacred 2 Camera View Here you go Rath. You can put the below text into your optionsCustom.txt file: key_bindings.binding_autocollect = KEY.A key_bindings.binding_walkfwd = KEY.UP key_bindings.binding_walkbwd = KEY.DOWN key_bindings.binding_viewleft = KEY.LEFT key_bindings.binding_viewright = KEY.RIGHT key_bindings.binding_camera_looknorth = KEY.N key_bindings.binding_buff_1 = KEY.Q key_bindings.binding_buff_2 = KEY.W key_bindings.binding_buff_3 = KEY.E key_bindings.binding_call_specialpet = KEY.D key_bindings.binding_spell_1 = KEY.F5 key_bindings.binding_spell_2 = KEY.F6 key_bindings.binding_spell_3 = KEY.F7 key_bindings.binding_spell_4 = KEY.F8 key_bindings.binding_combatarts = KEY.C key_bindings.binding_godspell = KEY.S key_bindings.binding_inventory = KEY.Z key_bindings.binding_logbook = KEY.TAB key_bindings.binding_minimap0 = KEY.CAPITAL key_bindings.binding_orb1 = KEY.F9 key_bindings.binding_orb2 = KEY.F10 key_bindings.binding_orb3 = KEY.F11 key_bindings.binding_orb4 = KEY.F12 key_bindings.binding_potion_1 = KEY.D1 key_bindings.binding_potion_2 = KEY.D2 key_bindings.binding_potion_3 = KEY.D3 key_bindings.binding_potion_4 = KEY.D4 key_bindings.binding_potion_5 = KEY.D5 key_bindings.binding_potion_6 = KEY.D6 key_bindings.binding_savegame = KEY.ENTER key_bindings.binding_attributes = KEY.X P.s. Rathmiron 0 Posted January 31, 2010 Author Share Posted January 31, 2010 Does someone maybe know the manner to open the options custom thingy in dutch? because im dutch so the computer language is in dutch too, so I can't find the files. (a way to change computerlanguage is ok too) Link to comment
Schot 407 Posted January 31, 2010 Share Posted January 31, 2010 The optionsCustom and options files are the same in every language Rath. As for actually writing a Dutch guide I'm afraid that's where my abilities end. If you can't find the folder that contains your options.txt file you could try doing a search in your windows for "options.txt". Keep in mind you need to do the first step as described below before you will be able to find it. You will need to have the Windows setting on; Show all Hidden Files and Folders. To change the Hidden Files/Folder setting open any folder-->Click Alt Key-->Tools-->Folder Options-->View-->Click "Show hidden files and folders". Go to the folder:(Vista or Windows 7)C:\Users\<YOUR_USER_NAME>\AppData\Local\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2 or (XP)C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR_USER_NAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2 Delete options.txt if it is found in the folder. Create a new text file using Notepad called optionsCustom.txt. (Easiest way to create a new Text Document is to Right Click in the folder-->New-->Text Document.) Add the below code into the empty optionsCustom.txt file you just created and save it: key_bindings.binding_autocollect = KEY.A key_bindings.binding_walkfwd = KEY.UP key_bindings.binding_walkbwd = KEY.DOWN key_bindings.binding_viewleft = KEY.LEFT key_bindings.binding_viewright = KEY.RIGHT key_bindings.binding_camera_looknorth = KEY.N key_bindings.binding_buff_1 = KEY.Q key_bindings.binding_buff_2 = KEY.W key_bindings.binding_buff_3 = KEY.E key_bindings.binding_call_specialpet = KEY.D key_bindings.binding_spell_1 = KEY.F5 key_bindings.binding_spell_2 = KEY.F6 key_bindings.binding_spell_3 = KEY.F7 key_bindings.binding_spell_4 = KEY.F8 key_bindings.binding_combatarts = KEY.C key_bindings.binding_godspell = KEY.S key_bindings.binding_inventory = KEY.Z key_bindings.binding_logbook = KEY.TAB key_bindings.binding_minimap0 = KEY.CAPITAL key_bindings.binding_orb1 = KEY.F9 key_bindings.binding_orb2 = KEY.F10 key_bindings.binding_orb3 = KEY.F11 key_bindings.binding_orb4 = KEY.F12 key_bindings.binding_potion_1 = KEY.D1 key_bindings.binding_potion_2 = KEY.D2 key_bindings.binding_potion_3 = KEY.D3 key_bindings.binding_potion_4 = KEY.D4 key_bindings.binding_potion_5 = KEY.D5 key_bindings.binding_potion_6 = KEY.D6 key_bindings.binding_savegame = KEY.ENTER key_bindings.binding_attributes = KEY.X Link to comment
