Popular Post Destructer 3
I bought this game since it first come out, but I stopped playing it for a while since I have the US version and couldn’t upgrade the expansion. Anyway, I start to play it again recently and found a way to make my pet become a dragon. This only works on single campaign for PC version. There are 2 steps to make a dragon companion, the first step is to change the appearance and the second step is to put the appropriate skills. Before you continue, make sure you make backup files for creatures.txt in server folder and spells.txt in shared folder. 1. The first step is easy, you need to change the appearance of your summon. All you have to replace is the "itemtype_id" with different values. First, open creatures.txt files and copy/paste this on the very top. ======================================================================= mgr.createCreature { id = 3000, itemtype_id = 12773, name = "Dragon_Companion", behaviour = "Dragon", dangerclass = 10, groupmaxcount = 1, elite_creature_id = 497, probabilityforelite = 0.000000, rank = 0, tenergy_creature_id = 275, livesremaining = 0, unconscioustime = 20, palettebits = "1111111111111111", monstertype = 2, faction_id = 23, modelscale = 0.250000, rise_from_ground = 0, has_corpse = 1, has_soul = 1, can_strafe = 0, spells = { entry0 = { "dm_form_drgn_feuerball" }, entry1 = { "enemy_dragon_fly_feueratem" }, entry2 = { "boss_flyer_sonicschrei" }, entry3 = { "sukkubus_firespray" }, }, } ======================================================================= This will create a new creature ID with the dragon model. It will not interfere with any existing creatures. Second, you need to open spells.txt file and look for any buff skills that your class has. Here is the link for skills in English name: http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=18337&st=20 Fire Demon - "he_in_feuerdaemon", for High Elf Protector - "dm_co_beschuetzer" for Dragon Mage Battle Stance - "se_co_kampfhaltung" Those are some examples of buff skills, pick one that your class has. After you figure which skill you want, use the Find function to get to that skill, I used "dm_co_beschuetzer" on my attempt. After you arrived at the skill description, look into the first summon_soldier token. If your buff skill is not a summon skill, copy/paste these tokens after the last token: ============================================================= entry10 = {"et_summon_level", 10, 10, 0, 8 }, entry11 = {"et_summon_soldier", 1000, 3000, 0, 8 }, entry12 = {"et_minion_replenish", 975, 25, 0, 72 }, ============================================================= If your last token is 8 for example, just continue it with entry9 instead of 10 like above. You can find out more about what token does from here: http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacred_2:Tokens I often use “et_minion_attackspeed" for more attack speed, just use any minion tokens for this to work. Anyway, back to changing your summon creature’s appearance. The token below is from Protector skill for DM: entry2 = {"et_summon_soldier", 1000, 2014, 0, 8 }, The first number 1000 is the amount of summon creature, 1000 = 1 summon, 2000 = 2 summon and so on. However, what you want to replace is the second number, 2014. This number is the model for the original creature. So, you want replace this with 3000 for the new creature you created above. entry2 = {"et_summon_soldier", 1000, 3000, 0, 8 }, The third number is mods affects as shown in upgrade for yours skills. It should go from 1 to 6. The number 0 means it always active. This is all for appearance, we now move onto the next step. 2. Now, we work on skill for your pet. You need to replace whatever you have in “spellClass” with this: spellClass = "cSpellHeFeuerdaemon" This basically tell your buff that it is a summon spell and the behavior of the summon creature is that of Fire Demon from High Elf. This is the only summon spellClass I found that allows your creature to use spells. Whatever your buffs do, it will function the same way as before. (I think, at least I never encountered any problem with it so far). Now that is done, we move to making a realistic fireball skill. Search for “dm_form_drgn_feuerball” and replace whatever in tokens with this. ===================================================================== entry0 = {"et_maxangle_cone", 75, 0, 0, 8 }, entry1 = {"et_duration_sec", 300, 0, 0, 8 }, entry2 = {"et_debuff_movespeed", 500, 0, 0, 42 }, entry3 = {"et_spelldamage_fire", 3000, 300, 0, 133 }, entry4 = {"et_hits_persec", 1340, 0, 0, 4 }, entry5 = {"et_spelldamage_physical", 300, 150, 0, 133 }, entry6 = {"et_spelldamage_fire", 420, 210, 0, 133 }, entry7 = {"et_hits_persec", 800, 4, 0, 4 }, entry8 = {"et_range_area", 1500, 0, 0, 4 }, entry9 = {"et_spelldamage_magic", 315, 155, 0, 133 }, entry10 = {"et_chance_piercing", 1000, 8, 0, 5 }, ===================================================================== These parameters allows the fireball to make a realistic straight flight and hit whatever in the path, you can lower the damage 3000 if you find it too overpowered. I play on highest difficulty, so it is balance somewhat. Next replace the fxTypeSpell and animType to "ANIM_TYPE_SM04" with this: the fxTypeSpell = "FX_GEN_FIREBALL_DRAGON1" animType = "ANIM_TYPE_SM04" This is for animation of the dragon and spell animation. You can also adjust the cooldown for breath, 3.0000 is a good balance use of it. That is done for fireball. Now, let’s move to dragon’s fire breath. Find “enemy_dragon_fly_feueratem” and change fxTypeSpell to: fxTypeSpell = "fx_dg_feueratem1", The number 2 animation for this just look bad on small size dragon, so feueratem1 is the better. This skill and dragon’s ROAR skill are for boss type and they can be powerful, if you don’t like it, you can link different skill and change fxTypeSpell for animation purpose after. If you don't like these skills, just put whatever skill you want from spells.txt or any character skills. Play around with it. Anyway, that is all. I hope you enjoy your new pet companion as much as I do. I have used this method to create people and many more. It is kind of more fun to travel with your favorite creatures. You can also try to resize your creature for more fun factor. modelscale = 0.250000, This is 1/4 of its original size. For humanoid, you want this to be 1.000000 while big creature, you want to shrink it. Edited June 3, 2011 by Destructer 3 Link to comment

Destructer 3
Ahh, forgot about it, here it is: Dragon's FireBall after her older evil brother has a little fun. The fireball will fly across the battlefield and hit whatever on the path, it just a great skill for crowd control. Dragon's Breath : Strongest skill, it kills everything so fast. Dragon's Sneeze? I couldn't get the Dragon's ROAR since it just a big sound-wave attack that half transparent, you just have to see it for yourself. Well, this is only for SP mode. I just love to have a pet dragon and this is like a dream come true, lol. I tried Temple Guardian's beam attack, it looks good when I shrink the dragon's size to half of this, otherwise the beam will come out from her claw. Btw, anyone manage to get Holy Wrath sword for Virtues set? I spent a whole day with modified balance.txt and I can find other part in the set numerous times, just not the sword. I am not sure it is even exist, lol. Edit: Here is the beam attack with her older evil dragon combine attack. Result? Lots of Roasted Pigs for dinner. Well, some turned into charcoal though T_T Opps, forgot to post skill for this. She just wants a little attention. This is an inspiration from a certain char in the Witcher 2. entry3 = { "sukkubus_firespray" }, Edited June 3, 2011 by Destructer Link to comment

King Angel 69
Will be great. I agree with gogoblender for download but is possible to make this for other character? whait answer and file for download Link to comment
Destructer 3
I just figure out how to do this easier and already posted the improve method. This will works for any buff skills for any character. The problem with creating a download files is that it will overwrite spells.txt and creatures.txt files. It is much better to write an instruction so you can just modify it and not worry about anything in future regard updates of those files. PS: I am trying to create a small party based, there are 3 buffs, so you can summon 3 different characters/creatures. I tried to make Sophia as companion, but she doesn't have any combat animation, so I used a generic Seraphim one. Edit: The only downloadable file will probably be creatures.txt since it is copy/paste as in the instruction. The spells.txt will be based on skill specific. I can make it belongs to DM class like familiar or protector skill. However, it is better to use the instruction since you can summon the dragon with pretty much on any buff skills. Edit2: Just playing around with more models, I am now able to create another seraphim as summon, but unable to change her equipment. Using id 489 in equipsets to get almost full virtues, but unable to change them because I have no idea what the value in there. Anyway, here is a good picture of fireball and double goodness that is Seraphim. Combine attack, Range + Rush In Combo ^.^ Edited June 4, 2011 by Destructer Link to comment
Destructer 3
Sorry for double post, kind of too long with edit, so just want to post more pictures. I just did the fight with the octopus, really fun fight to watch like watching the movie. Even though I remember clearly how this fight turns out as I farmed this monster lots of time before when I played online, but this godzilla kind of battle make me really excite like I did in Oblivion. Anyway, here is some pictures, enjoy: Getting a better look. Face to Face stand off. Tickling. VICTORY! Grandpa did a good job, now this place is a new nest for this small family. gogoblender 3,070
Wow, that's so cool! YOu're right..its is Godzilla fighting! lol I know that some peeps were trying to have fun with Kerr and bosses...but you've made it more creative by bringing a dragon into it. The pix are awesome. A video would just be stellar gogo Link to comment
Destructer 3
Ok, I uploaded the file. Here is the link: http://darkmatters.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/288-dragon-pet-companion-for-seraphim/ The creatures.txt is too big and I can't upload the rar file, so just copy/paste it. For some reason, the dragon's attack is way too weak, maybe I overlooked some modified tokens in my spells.txt, so only 1 small size dragon for now. I initially plan to create 3 skills to summon small (permanent), medium (5 mins) and full-size (2 mins), but I guess you can play around with it for now. Link to comment
Dragon Brother 619
You can upload the file as a .zip, the creatures.txt shouldn't be too big, the size limit is 100mb I thought... Link to comment
King Angel 69
Will be great to intregrate in CM patch and work online make for all character ( replace useless buff of character ) this is an ideea Link to comment
Destructer 3
Hehe, yeah. The beam's idea is pretty fun too, you should check it out. I love it when I am in demon's land and here is empty's armor everywhere, I just blast them all. This dragon model is one of the most well done and beautiful dragon I have seen in my 20 years of gaming. I sometimes wish the dragon in The Witcher is this kind of model. Now if only some one good with image can edit the color of the dragon, then every classes should have one. I want a golden dragon, remind me so much of Filia from Slayers. Dragon Brother 619
Talk with czewak maybe him whant to integrate this ideea is good for CM patch and for summon dragon for all character in single and multiplayer will be great I doubt you will get the cm team to implement any changes like this. They aren't likely to change the basics of the game. You're best bet for this is to have it add onto the cm patch. Link to comment
Destructer 3
That's why I am more incline to post the instruction on how to do it. Files can be outdated with new update, but if you know how to do this, you can play around with it for your personal enjoyment. Online playing is good, but I much refer to play offline with mods because I can do whatever I want. Still waiting for Legend of Dragoon's armor and more wings to fly with in Oblivion, lol. PS: I am trying to create a squad of seraphim with energy hand gun, but it only work on the main seraphim model. However, the problem is I can't put new armors on her. It is really fun to have them go around and kill all the zombie while my main char have the divine spear and use laser beam attack to clear up fun. EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Link to comment
Stormwing 40
Yep. Looking good really. And what DB said; best leave these as standalones. I'm sure Llma would have some pointers in doing a CM-compatible mod. He's been fiddling with things around in great success. Link to comment

eversole2nd 0
I hope this isn't a dead thread. I got frustrated with all the broken quests in KOA and figured I'd run Sacred 2 until Diablo 3 drops. I came across this and followed the directions but, alas, this does not seem to work for me. I'm up to date with every CM patch. Running v2.65.01 Any ideas what could be wrong? UPDATE: Got it working. Edited May 8, 2012 by eversole2nd Link to comment
