You might now also notice all the different facial expressions she uses while casting spells or attacking. The faces of many of the characters, especially the High Elf, are rigged with "bones" which make her have all kinds of expressions when her various attack and cast animations play. It makes her very lifelike. It's also one reason why full model replacement isn't really a mod option for the playable characters. It's nearly impossible to rig all those face bones to match the original model. 2 Link to comment

gogoblender 3,071
Having upgraded to a 42" HDTV and a 4K rig (NVIDIA GeForce 1080 Ti) I can now take some spectacularly clear and vivid screen caps. The Elite Textures practically offer an HD gaming experience. Here one may even notice the "sparkle" in the lifelike eyes of the High Elf. I'd just love to get my game looking as good as yours... ... this with that sick new video card you got? gogo Link to comment

Totally wicked, this. I uploaded a short video to YouTube and made the .gif image above to illustrate the battle face of the High Elf for your enjoyment and edification. 3 Link to comment
Hooyaah 2,825
Here's yet another example of how stunningly realistic the Elite Textures make the world of Ancaria appear when running at hi-res. 1 Link to comment
Popular Post Hooyaah 2,825
Above is a hi-res image, 3840 x 2160, which is quite a bit larger than that of my previous post. I am playing Sacred 2 Gold (with the Elite Textures) on a 42" HDMI-4 TV and yet the game looks visually exquisite. It is actually more detailed in many ways than a 4K game, NieR:Automata, which was released earlier this year for PC. Furthermore, I am using the recommended settings for that game as suggested as optimal via Nvidia's GeForce Experience. I highly suggest the Sacred 2 Elite Textures if you are playing at or near 4K UHD. 2 Link to comment
Popular Post Hooyaah 2,825
EDIT It's worth noting that the screenshots do contain some compression artifacts (lossy data) which are created during the process of importing the screenshots into Imgur to allow them to be linked to so as to be viewed in this thread. However, in-game the rendered quality is exceptional, indeed. Edited August 27, 2017 by Hooyaah 2 Link to comment

Popular Post Hooyaah 2,825
Hello avid readers, this is your Hostess, Reporter, and Travel Writer, Aramelith and I am delighted to deliver to you yet another installment of Dining in Ancaria. Today I take you to the best kept secret (until now, hee hee hee) in Griffinborough, a Tavern (and Inn) named The Screaming Wife. It's located just two doors down from the building next to the blacksmith's. (He asked me mere moments ago to deliver some horseshoes to his friend, the blacksmith of Skook's Corner). As you can see, the meals here consist of flame roasted fish and beast. This little piglet just there will be served piping hot and on a skewer for easy consumption for they who prefer to dine heartily and without the aid of utensils. (Ewww!) {Did I utter that out load?} The meat is basted with freshly churned butter and a mixture of spices, the list of which is a closely guarded secret. I must tell you that the locals just love to dine right over there in the fresh air where there's seating for a party of eight, which, interestingly enough, is the precise amount of lodging space available upstairs above the tavern. The food is quite savory and touted as the best in this region, I would confirm this report personally, yet I did not actually consume any of the fare. Honestly, I rarely eat a thing... have to watch my youthful figure, you know, hee hee hee. Inside the tavern at night is where the local nobility come to drown their troubles (as if they have a good reason to complain). There is comfy seating for at least six persons and lots of standing (or falling) room at the bar. (Pfft, Ha ha ha ha). I did enjoy my conversation with the buxom barmaid and her regular customer, a red haired countess who was wearing a lovely circlet. Had I not dawdled so long already I might have taken the liberty to enjoy the nightly reveries. Alas, perhaps after I complete my five year plan. Well, anyway, that's all for tonight and this edition of Dining in Ancaria, brought to you from the human territory by cute little me, Aramelith. Until next time where you will find me... well you never know, do you, because the location is always a surprise, isn't it? And hopefully a pleasant one as well. Bye bye for now! 2 Link to comment
gogoblender 3,071
This is far better than any reality tv cooking show I've ever seen! Amazing how you can "see" this story from this game's scenery, and your juxtaposition of a busy, modern-day restaurant over our charming Sacred 2 Village oozes life and charm. Thank you for the journey, I know myself and other have feasted and found your told-tale experience delicious gogo Link to comment

bhav 28
Have people actually managed to get elite textures working without the game freezing / crashing, or do they just put up with those issues? _______ I still have my Ice Shard High Elf too at around level 35 albeit being dual aspect for the delphic buff, and just managed to level my previous main Devout Guardian TG to level 82. Im also trying to level a pair of single aspect TGs (Lost Fusion + Source Warden ofc) without devout guardian splash, each using just Armour Lore & Constitution for defence, but then Ancient Magic, Combat Discipline and Damage Lore for max damage, probably with 0 utility because I already have bargaining on both my above level 35 and 82s that can do my jewel shopping and blacksmithing. Maybe just Enhanced Perception will go on them because there should be enough room left for it. Edited September 11, 2017 by bhav Link to comment

Yet, with their limited resources, the resilient denizens eking out their existence here have become quite adept at using whatever resources are at their disposal. Although it may be true that necessity precedes ingenuity, it is clever that they are roasting this pork over an open pocket of magma for their next meal, nevertheless." 1 1 Link to comment

Here, where the common people live. Here, where the filthy water ponds, for there is no drainage system. I have witnessed children playing in this filthy, stagnant soup. There is poverty here and there is no knowing what ailments may already plague the impoverished denizens of this disregarded area. Now that I have a established a positive rapport with many senators and nobles here at the High Elven capitol and have amassed much gold, for which I have neither need nor desire, I shall have something done about this abominable situation." 3 Link to comment

All I have to do is defeat his possible eventual rival, The Carnach. If this potential foe is so troublesome I wonder why he did not dispatch it himself? Oh well, perhaps he cannot be bothered with such mundane tasks. Well, off I go to defeat yet another bothersome monster. I will need a very large trophy room indeed if I continue to slay so many large beasts at such an expeditious rate." 2 Link to comment
