With some old oranges

Recommended Posts

Sunday we will have saddle of venison with slices of quinces in a clay pot. Oranges aren't local here so I do the traditional quinces and pears.

The poor thing had two legs smashed after a truck hit it yesterday.

ah, the pears sound good

I like the added sweetness of fruit to meat, that one time I'll indulge, but not so bad as a chocolate bar.

Hope yer meal is great, mine was amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing!

No, I haven't actually, however you've inspired me to look for some more "different" out of the box items for the breasts I have today, the taste of the quinces sound like they'd do well for me

:)

Don't know for your place: roasted quinces with sheep done in a tajine is often served at moroccan or tunesian restaurants here.

The recipes are quite similiar: venison instead lamb, Römertopf (roman clay pot) instead tajine, ...

Most of the clay pot recipes are as old as the roman legions being west of the rhine.
