Sacred Split mechanic question - Does split mechanic work on "blue" and "yellow" type of enemies?

Hello! Does split mechanic work on "blue" and "yellow" type of enemies? For example champion goblins, champion shamans etc? For double chance of good loot? Or does it only work for normal enemies?

I remember when split was all the rage, its very enjoyable but can get dangerous when indulged a little too much.. all lifes good stuff right?

I'm hoping that someone else here will have a more definitive answer for you, and in the mean time, heres a link to and old topic from when split was very much in fashion online in the community
