I am looking for an opinion from the ladies here, since I am normally a clod. is it acceptable to give potted flowers? seems like one can enjoy them a bit longer period of time than just ones from the supermarket. of course they get plumbed into drip irrigation system I got at the house for convenience, so not sticking her with a bunch of manual watering.

depends on the occasion. Anniversaries, some birthdays (30, 40, 50, etc) and major apologies,,, stick with bouquets, otherwise if she likes potted plants sounds great to me... Just if you have house animals like cats be careful because some common houseplants are toxic for them to eat. (holly and poinsettia are two that I know )
