Steady level up as opposed to niobium rush. Your ideas on the matter?

Assuming you're playing Single Player, would you do a difficulty rush?

  1. 1. So, would you do a rush and if you do, where would you stop to start questing, hunting and exploring?

    • NO, thanks, I like to play through each difficulty. No rush for me.

Im just going to rush everything in silver (well already did that) gold, and maybe plat, then ill take my time in niob. That way I dont have to worry about getting to the next diff or mobs becoming obselete anytime soon. I really dont see a reason to rush niob anyway or even finsh the campaign since you already did it and theres no reward for finishing niob. Niob is the end of the line and thats where I would start to slow down.

Well as I cant change my vote I will just post what I am now attempting to achieve after playing and dying for over 6 months.

btw...I only play on the HC closed servers.

I am rushing through the silver and gold campaigns.

I then intend to complete the whole game in platinum...all quests, as much of the world explored as I can, and finally the campaign.

Then I shall shall venture into Niob and wait for the inevitable to happen. :)

I play single player (so far, might change one day) and I rush silver, and then slow down and do every quest (that are possible, some escort quests are just silly)I can and in this play through, I am going even slower than before. I have had 3 characters above 100 but as I play SP, the chances of hitting 200 are slim as I tend to get bored around 120. Currently in gold, taking my time as I have seen it all before, and am just grinding more than questing now - though I will end up doing over 500 quests (currently on 352). I only have 2 more difficulties before game ends, so why rush to niobium in single player when there is nothing after it?

Sick of arguing this point on SIF. If people want to rush to end, who am I to stop them?

I want to ask you people something, it's not quite on-topic: how much time does it take for you to get a character at 75? It took me a day and a half to get my HE at 70, without doing side quests, only the main and char quest and doing xp grinding. I was in platinum at level 70, then my char died again and I decided to start over. (not playing HC, cause I don't want to lose the items and gold which can go to other chars, but I'll restart this char :D)

Well, you can do it in like 15 hours if you have a good pre-set equipment. If you don't it may well take more than a day to get there, provided you haven't died :Just_Cuz_21:

NIce topic. I'm gonna have to read over the choices again, because lately after I saw the ladder a about two weeks ago...my life changed :P I'm very very much into getting Clan [D.a.r.k] into the top twenty. I think it's a pride thing for the clan and something I just want to have up there. I will say though that leveling in the game goes awfully fast. I like to make my toons put out as much damage as possible and because of that, they tend to level quickly. Playing Dryad doesn't hurt either :P I don't really do any quests at all in MP either... I'm so taken with constantly micromanaging my toon, that it seems like I never have time for anything else. I think I was very much into just taking it easy when I first got this game, but lately all I want to do is level level level...addicted!

Niobium....

You will be mine

:ninja:

gogo

lol! I was the same way! when I first got the game I took my times and did about 300 quests in bronze then realized it wasn't really getting anywhere but this was when I didn't understand a thing about the game because the book u get with it doesn't really tell u a DAM thing. at that point I said forget this, so I went for a huge rush n went trough the campaign and now stuck on silver bcuz u gotta hit level 60 to move up so darn...and the sad thing was I have so many characters that I coulda been level 80 by now lmao around 10 characters all around 30's lol but it seems doing quests in this game are not worth a dam till u hit the last difficulty in the game cuz by then ull have you're best things set up n so on. although this is just my own opinion, what do u all think? :D

My opinion is that campaign rushes are very important. I never really understood what was happening and that I have accidentally dipped my hand into a pot full of gold.

Having a char in niob at relatively low level (say, level 80-85) is a huge boost to all your characters, hands down :ninja: This is why my opinion, even if mislead, was the proper one. In my eyes, niob rush is a boon - never a curse :D
