For all the seraphim specialist

Hello!!

After playing with a TG for about a month the thing I really miss is and Area of Effect damage. So, after a long wait, tomorrow I hope to start my new character and one option is a seraphim using Faring Nova as main combat art.

I think taking Revered tech lore and focus is a must, same goes for combat discipline. There goes 3 skills.

Then using Warding Energy Lore seems obvious, as for Armor Lore and Constitution. And we arrive at 6 skills.

For the other 4 skills and about the weapon to use I don't know. Toughness and combat reflexes seems nice to have because I'll be surrounded a lot (the goal of this build). About the weapon I was thinking about a pistol. There are many in the game, I never use them and it seems nice with this build. I'll not use the weapon much, so maybe a sword with 3 slots could be better.....Shield lore seems good also.

I'd like to know your opinion and suggestions.

Thanks a lot.

I just read today that Flaring Nova type of damage can be changed by equipping different weapons with different elemental damage.

eg: weapon with lava chunk for fire damage, or a poison tooth for poison.

My seraphim isn't high enough level to worry of upper level skills. I do plan on at least 3 defensive skills: Constitution, Shield Lore and Armor.

Hope this helped. :evil:

Equipping weapons with a damage modifier will change a PORTION of the damage, although it seems that the entire elemental damage is changed (that's a bug in the damage display).

As for the seraphim, you really need to analyze and decide what kind of char she will be: melee, ranged or caster. If you make her a revered-oriented caster, you will need a weapon with as much damage as possible, in order to take advantage of archangel's wrath the most. You can use the BFG weapon, of course, but that would require 1 buff spot, and unless you take concentration (which I think is a must for caster builds), you will need to alternate between the 2 buffs for damage or defense. If you want a revered-oriented caster I can propose this:

level 2 -> revered tech lore

level 3 -> concentration

level 5 -> revered focus

level 8 -> armor lore

level 12 -> combat discipline

-> at this point you have everything a seraphim has in her arsenal to reduce CA regen times. You will need heavy investment in stamina as well

level 18 -> combat reflexes

level 25 -> warding lore

level 35 -> constitution

For the last 2 skills you can take your pick. I really like riding, since the mount will further reduce the regen times (as long as you pick the right one) and will add some nice HP. However, if you pick riding, it's preferable to take the skill at level 18. Toughness is not bad as well. Celestial focus can be used to add Cleansing brilliance as a buff (which is nice when properly modded).
