rm3000 85
How are [GoG] able to make them drm free.... does Deep Silver give them permission at this point? As I understand it, yes, they do get permission from every publisher. Sometimes, they even get some help with removing any DRM. 1 Link to comment
gogoblender 3,070
was Sacred 2 one of the first with DRM? I remember the huge and massive fracas there was when it came out... no problem for most of us, but for the privilleged few, it seemed a nightmare gogo Link to comment
Dorimil 224
yeah...there was a huge FECAL MATTER!storm in the German part of the forum. people from Ascaron shows a massive patience by discussing that point. surprisingly...I never have had any problems with activating, reactivating my game! Flix 5,116
The DRM on my Sacred 2 Gold disk gave me a huge problem. I couldn't even get it installed. Before GOG came out with their release, I had to resort to downloading Sacred 2 despite owning a legit copy of the game. Link to comment
Popular Post DaveO 88
Sacred 2 is on sale at GamersGate. It is on sale for $3.75, which is almost the same price as the last GoG sale. Sorry to keep updating this post, but with the new Diablo 2 Fallen Mod I thought maybe some new players might show up. http://www.gamersgate.com/campaign/310/deep-silver-weekend 2 Link to comment

This site's pretty much one of the only ones out there left in the universe with great fondness and activity for the game. If any place does it, it's gonna be members here at DarkMatters Thank you, and good luck and welcome aboard to all the new players for the Sacred Franchise! gogo 1 Link to comment

Popular Post DaveO 88
Yet another sale on GoG. This time Sacred 2 is going for $3. There MIGHT be a sale on GoG, Steam or elsewhere where it goes down to $2, but this is the cheapest price I've seen for almost one year. Edited February 19, 2016 by DaveO 2 Link to comment
GreenMagic469 8
Does this include the ice and blood expansion or is it Sacred 2 vanilla? I've been looking for a reason to hop into the PC version and this might be what sways me. Link to comment
lujate 578
Sacred 2 Gold includes the base S2FA and I&B. Link to comment
GreenMagic469 8
Thanks for the heads up. I'm gonna take the dive on this one, then. Now let's hope it can actually run on my crappy 2011 laptop :-) 1 Link to comment

GreenMagic469 8
Haha yeah it looks like that's what I'll have to do. One thing, how's the online multiplayer currently work? Is it completely shut down without use of a third party program, or can you do peer to peer? Link to comment
Flix 5,116
The only option is a LAN game. I think you have to use something like Hamachi or Tunngle. Link to comment
DaveO 88
I know Tunngle works, so that is likely your best option if you want multiplayer. Most folks I know of are using the Community Patch 1.50. I don't know about the popularity of other Sacred 2 mods like the Diablo 2 Fallen mod. 1 Link to comment
Popular Post DaveO 88
GoG's Summer Sale is in progress for this year. Sacred 2 is again on sale for $2.99. The Summer Sale has an "experience" feature where you get a free game after you reach a certain point. I easily hit the second free game point buying the D&D Gold Box series. Due to the large number of sales on GoG at the moment, I'd recommend using the links next to New & Notable for the different game categories. Edited June 10, 2016 by DaveO 2 Link to comment
gogoblender 3,070
2.99? lol...cheaper than a Big Mac! Thanks Dave0 gogo Link to comment
Spock 271
Darn you! Now I've gone and purchased even more games! I thought I had safely put GoG behind me ... 1 Link to comment
Dorimil 224
I am also surprised that I find something to buy at nearly every sale at GoG...thought I already got everything I "need"... 1 Link to comment
