Hi there, trying OGame
gogoblender replied to Nihilith's topic in Republica Universa: Public Forum (Non-Secure)
Ike's guides rock! And nihilith, a bunch of the guys JUST started playing in uni 33. I'm not sure who's heading it up...bhj or yaga? In new uni's there's tons of players and tons of potential victims. Uni nine is quiet, so it's got that for plus...and if you get in trouble, there's always one of us to help you out. Enjoy the game and the reads! gogo -

We just bought IPBWiki (One years worth)
gogoblender replied to gogoblender's topic in Sacred Wiki General Discussion
I was thinking about the same thing. For example, for all peeps currently registered...would we have to reregister from the forum to be a part of the wiki? Schot's installing it now, and I guess it'll take a few days to figure out how the new setup will work. gogo -
Hey guys, we used a paypal check (first time!)to purchase the software, and it's finally arrived today...we've been jumping up and down waiting for it. This new software is is a "bridge" between DarkMatters and SacredWiki. Right now our biggest concern was vandalism, epecially considering the many, many hours of work the team has put in. So far, registrations for SacredWiki are closed unless an admin creates the account. We are hoping to have the registration process happen in DarkMatters, where we can get a "feel" of someone's trustworthiness before allowing them editing access to the wiki. # seamless integration of the login system of MediaWiki and Invision Power Board. Your website visitors get the convenience of a single sign-on into the forum and the wiki, leading to an increased community participation. IpbWiki provides 2 authentication methods: * Transparent User Authentication: if the user visited the forum and there exists a forum session, then user is automatically logged in into the wiki. * Non-transparent User Authentication: Clicking the Login button in the wiki authenticates against the forum database and logs the user in both the wiki and (optionally) the forum. # Configure Wiki-Rights: grant wiki-rights (read, edit, minoredit, createpage, createtalk, move, delete, undelete, protect, block, createaccount, upload, reupload, reupload-shared, rollback, patrol, editinterface, siteadmin, bot, asksql, checkuser) based on the member's Forum User Group and member's number of posts. # Supports BBCode & Emotions: IpbWiki Parses BBCode so your forum members continue to use the familiar forum BBCode, leading to an increased community participation. Emoticons are also supported. # Automatically link keywords in your forum post to wiki-topics by using the Automatic wikification extension, or link to topics manually by using the [wiki] bbcode # Discussion Threads: possibility to configure IpbWiki to redirect the wiki discussion tabpage to a forum discussion thread, again leading to an increased community participation. # Rating System: Allows your visitors to provide feedback how much they like your articles. # Limited CMS capabilities: Add topiclists and forum posts inside your wiki pages. # Integrated Skin: You can make your wiki look exactly as your IPB forum. # Poweful & Convenient Control Panel: All options can be simply selected turned on/off in your Admin CP Panel. # Since IpbWiki is based on MediaWiki you can automatically enjoy all features of MediaWiki when you use IpbWiki # No Programming Or Editing Needed: Simple installation and a user friendly control panel supports configuring feautures as you need. # Free Support: Free forum based support. This is the link to the new software here: http://www.ipbwiki.com/Ipb_Wiki:Integratio..._with_MediaWiki It allows for superior security, administration and...finally... a skin for the wiki! We've purchased one years worth of licensing, hoping that schot *cough cough* will be either to replicate the software's effects with Joomla or other types of bridging software that exist to make the link up between our community and the wiki more seamless. Cheers! gogo

Sacred Wiki: Some fun new improvements.
gogoblender posted a topic in Sacred Wiki General Discussion
Hey guys! Yesterday two new big improvements were added which we hope will give greater utility to the wiki. 1-Indy recoded the navigation link bar along the left that travels with us. If you look at it now you'll see links that take you directly into the most popular areas of the wiki from wherever you are: # Index # Forum # Characters # Combat Arts # Items # Runes We're hoping that this helps better with the navigation as there is simply too much content to rifle through now, as the list of wiki contributors grows. Also, treeing is much better with the addition of Categories in the Wiki. Set Items now trees down the following way with a powerful new Set Items Web page that offers a number of ways of having set items listed: 1-By character class 2-In alphabetical order (bless the wiki software, it just spins this data out nice and neat as more and more data is added into the set item db. Woot!) http://darkmatters.org/SacredWiki/index.ph...y:Set_Item_Name Here is the link to the new set item root page: http://darkmatters.org/SacredWiki/index.php5/Set_Items As well, Main Page now links to the cover page of the wiki were www.sacredwiki.org lands new peeps on with the new link called Index taking peeps to the more oft used Index page which is the root of the entire wiki. Hope this helps with the navigation and the wiki stands at almost 400 articles... Great job guys! gogo -
LOL K, Timo, I'll keep your quotes in mind for that fateful day of reckoning gogo

Almost 48 hours on the road
gogoblender replied to EvilMale's topic in The Daily Grind: Real life right here!
A fantastic read. EM, you've got a handle on the writing. You again made me realize how important giving into feelings of being homesick is important. And following through with them through better or worse is important too! That busride was the ride from hell, huh? But you got touch base, and it sounds like you came back with memories and heart filled. And how was the food and eating? I know that most times when I go over to visit family they make barrels of yummy treats. My favorite meats, family dishes...ahh, the smells that tickle the nostrils when I walk in and the overpowering bear hugs. lol, I got this warm fuzzy feeling inside and just want to call and see my family now too! gogo -

Discussions about the "Victoria-Sophie X." Series
gogoblender replied to Therion X's topic in Sacred General Discussion
hahah that was the best opening scene you've done yet. You sure English isn't your first language? You've got a great touch for screen writing. And that poison ring is great. Such a little circle of death, but so lethal At least the way you have it set up! What's the cast time on that at that level Therion? And how about regen? Another Therion approved build! gogo p.s. ahhh, you and Victoria...so when's the wedding day? -
Thank YOU for the crystal. Seems like everyone's a real fiend for the stuff lately, and no large patch of it seems to go ungrabbed for long. gogo

Bad day/week/month?
gogoblender replied to griffman's topic in The Daily Grind: Real life right here!
Griff, go ahead and rant...big big hug coming up I have times like that too...when the down part of life's roller coaster just seems to go on for an interminably long period of time. You have to just hang in, and eventually stuff starts to look up. I will say though that from all of your posts, you've always come across as a caring, compassionate person. What you're doing with your brother is just you digging and still sticking this all out. Just keep going, be brave, and keep doing the right things. More than anything, inside where it counts, you'll always feel that you're goinb about this rough patch and always being good about it. And keep coming back to rant if you have to, sometimes just blowing off the steam is enough and you feel so much better...ready to get going on the day. Stay strong and have faith. gogo -
omg...I just woke up to this over breakfast and my morning coffee! gogo p.s.
