  2. Some nice info can be found on the german FAQ as well. I didn't know that Recovery Elixirs values are based on players max hitpoints. Anyway, I changed my mind about linking to other people's tables. Too much inaccurate or obsolete info (did last patch hange this stuff?) on both german FAQ and Wolfe's Lair, so I just did everything from scratch . I guess I must do everything myself Right now the wiki Alchemy/potions is the most complete and accurate resourse Potions and trophies now have their own pages in addition to the main page, featuring their bonuses at Alchemy level 75. The big potion has smaller effect (85% chance instead of 90%), but it's duraton is much longer.

  4. I always start on silver. First, I do the Runemaster and Blacksmith tutorial quests to unlock the Runemaster and Blacksmith in Sloeford (they are useful). This gives me 2-3 levels. Then I go to Kobold Chieftain, and then continue the main quest. Pretty fast leveling
  5. The mount should be transferable between game modes, but I suggest you do it in campaign mode in SP since your quest progress is not saved on AdHoc.
  6. You will be able to get a portal on the other side of the mountains, which will allow you to do mount quest in single-player without bothering with campaign.
  7. Instead of creating a Single Player game, go to the LAN (AdHoc) option. This will allow you to play a simulation of a multiplayer game, even though you won't connect to anything. You will spawn on the starter island, which has a cave with portals. You can take these portals to go to any area in the game. Check out the Map of Ancaria to see where each portal will drop you.
  8. The script thingy sounds very interesting, what exactly does it do with the text files? I'm using both Open and MS Offices, but I'm on Windows XP. Will that work? Wow, that's some work on the french pages Good job.

  10. I think that unlockable abilities along with common abilities should be posted in a separate table. It gets way too complicated otherwise (let's keep the table stretching under control )
  11. Yes there is Lumen's Ways is the only real unique armor piece posted. Others might be very rare or indeed inexistant. I removed the random uniques to avoid the confusion, the database is clean now. I'm not so sure about Executoner's Axe: I removed it for the time being, as it seems to be random. We can undelete it if people find it in the new patch.

  15. The main page of the uniques has a link to the relevant discussion, that will help you understand how rare items are being generated and what names they can get.

  17. No Zin If you find a weapon with "Deep Wounds" in bronze, it will change in next difficulty and become higher. This is true for many mods, not just skill-based. Some mods might not follow this, and have the same value no matter if you change difficulty.
  18. If they are still down, I think they'll be like that for a while. It's about 4 in the morning in europe, I doubt Ascaron keeps the technicians so late just to fix the problems on weekends.

Maybe I'm stating the obvious, but the following is the possible range of mods the item is getting for the respective difficulty (they change for each difficulty): "30,100" means the critical hit in bronze will be in range of 3-10%, depending on skill level. If you switch to silver, the same weapon will have 3,5-12% chance.
  20. Both Carapace Vestment and Snakeskin Cloak are random uniques. So are Archon's Tunic, Warlord's Mitts, Pelt Pants, Potter's Casque, Spaulders, Resistive Waistband and Samaurai Pantaloons.
  21. Indeed, opponent's chance to Wound/Poison/Weaken/Burn/Freeze is reducing the player's chance for seconary effects. Nice find. I'm speechless...
  22. If search is the only problem, we could have a basic page for the sub-quests that has just a link to the main page, like "This is the third step of the Hunting Highwaymen quest". The searcher gets redirected to the main page. Easier for maintenance purposes, I think. I need to go learn a few things to understand gial's suggestion, that's like chinese to me right now
