  1. Ack... That indeed can be problematic. Any word on when you might get the system back? It may also be listed on the DVD you installed the game from.
  2. That's how mine looked like. Ok... That certainly IS different. Exactly what version of Sacred 2 do you have running? It'll say when you boot the game - just above the silly message... Mine came from version 2.43 US.
  3. Different in what way? Inquiring minds wanna know...!
  4. In case anyone wants to know... I've just uploaded the quest log screen shot for Demons, More Demons and Even More Demons. Here they are in order... Note the teleport button on the bottom right... Ditto - Teleport button, bottom right. The final chapter - done. No more TP button... Edit: Oh.. Yeah.. These pics are also part of the SacredWiki entry for this quest... It's now mostly complete. Just one more final tweak left... http://www.sacredwiki.org/index.php5/Sacre...a_in_the_Clouds
  5. The reason that the guy doesn't appear until AFTER the Ghost Village quest is done is because when you cross the gateway into the villiage, you're technically in a different realm - the one of perpetual darkness. Once you've killed off the Evocator boss, and complete the quest, the game returns you to the normal world. I assume you noticed the teleportation noise as you crossed over and when you completed the mission. There's also ONE other mission that kinda requires another quest to be completed. Oddly enough, it's due north of the Ghost Village. There's one guy up in the Crag Rock area and in order to get to him, you have to go through the Banshee who's hanging out in the cave you need to go through to get to Crag Rock. Yes, I know there's the southern cave path but I believe the door is locked until you go talk to the sword master and his daughter and defeat the Thraconian who stole the crown and go back to talk to the daughter again.
  6. OK.. I can do that. I suppose I can pitch in. As soon as I figure out how to get coordinates to link properly... I already added one factoid on the previously mentioned dragon. And linked it to the Garema Ghost Warriors who have a similar cloaking capability. Unfortunately the GGW's page doesn't mention that part either. That's the kind of useful info that might be found if you dig deep enough here on DM, or happen upon it accidentally - like I did... But is nowhere to be found on the Wiki... Speaking of which... I just updated the GGW's page on the wiki to reflect their ability to cloak. I borrowed some info from the thread on DM for it.
  7. Oy... Guys.. I can see there's some serious KP work to be done with a.) this post and b.) the SacredWiki links. Just for grins and giggles clicked on the Gyrvim Island dragon - in Schot's original post and the map link takes you to the old maplib.net link. The wiki's link likewise goes to maplib.net. Now that the map is hosted locally and the one on maplib.net is coughing up errors saying we don't have permission to view said resource, it's about as useless as a screen door on a submarine. I'd do it myself, but I'm not able to modify someone else's post on here (nudge, nudge, hint, hint @ Schot) and I'm not quite sure how to generate a link to the map so you get the right coordinates so I could tweak the link in the Wiki to point it to the right spot.
  8. For me... It's all fine and dandy to read the sage advice posted here - but until you've actually PLAYED the game for a while with multiple characters a bit, there's an element missing. It's like not having your enough of your own personal experience points - know what I mean? My first charcter was a temple guardian - and he was a shot in the dark, fumbling blindly for the most part. He did OK until I got up to that big nasty dragon in the caves under the ocean.. My beginner's luck ran out and eventually, the game got hosed. Needless to say - it was worth the learning experience. Anyhow..Now that I've played the game for a while, my understanding of things is much better. Now, when I read discussions on skills or CAs or whatever, I have a much better grasp of what's being said and I can actually make use of the info in the articles. I'm now at level 47 on the Dryad Islands. With any luck I'll be done with the quests soon and will be off to the wastelands and the final challenges in the next week or two.
  9. Welp.. As an FYI for anyone interested - the area above does exist in Sacred 2: Fallen Angel 2.43 - but the boss monsters, however, do NOT. These are Ice and Blood ONLY... Outside of a few panthers - regular and champion level - the area is quite devoid of anything interesting - except for maybe the END of the world. More exactly, The map of Ancaria ends near the southern border of that vast empty space. The Mount trick is pretty much as was described elsewhere. However, to make it to the area in question, you have to use your CA (Shadow Step, for instance) to get there. The entire area until you actually reach the open space is of the "off limits" variety - meaning you have to use the CA to get through it.
  10. Thanks... Welp.. Here's an update... The quests listed above are now at least done, for the most part, in text form. There will be screen-shots coming... But not tonight. The quests you can add to the "in progress" category are: Orc Trouble On Kinrch's Heels Deficci In the Desert Maryta Deffici And a couple of more general quests: The Arena in the Clouds Delivery Tending the Poor As a side note... If anyone's played through the desert area with a light side character OTHER than the high elf and have gone by the DeElfici store (next to the spot where you meet the uncle who would be king who gives you the quest to retrieve the scroll from the cave and to kill the Garganthropod), did you happen across Viola DeElfici and did she have any quests (Namely "Delivery" and "Tending the Poor"? I'm guessing the two quests are open to all light bound characters. But.. I could be wrong. So if you've got any info - please let me know. I've made up my mind - I'm close to the end of the game with the High Elf - just need to do the Dryad island and Wastelands and I'm done. It may take me a while to get another character that far along. Just can't see the Inquisitor handing out gold to peasants... More than likely would run off with it like he's done so many other times.
  11. You're welcome.. Still not quite finished - need a couple of pics to flesh it out a bit. Got the log book screen shot - just need an answer to the PM I sent you earlier re: Photobucket. If ya could...
  12. I've also noticed that the High Elf's Cobalt Strike - while you can't target them directly, if you've got it set to do a chain lightning thing - will hit them on the 2nd or 3rd reflection. Just target a convenient panther, turtle, other non-cloaked Garema warrior or other baddie and zap 'em and it should bounce and nail the cloaked Ghost warrior(s).
  13. I'm noticing the Light side High Elf specifc quests are lacking on the list. The last one listed is "The end of TyBosso" - but there are more quests. The HE's blue quests go all the way to the Jungle (at least, in Sacred 2:FA 2.43)... Missing quests following The End of Tybosso: Orc Trouble On Kinrch's Heels Deficci In the Desert Maryta Deffici
  14. Hey Loco - would that be up near the spider cave? The one you have to go to Skook's Corner to get the key for? There does seem to be something on the ground - and it's fizzling... Doesn't do any real damage though. Not very scary either.. looks more like a mini volcano tho...
  15. Not quite 100% sure.. BUT.. I think he's possibly refering to Adventure Tours - the one where you meet Capt Jack Karrow on the beach who wants you to take his client on a tour... First you gotta take him to East Turbak, then down to Scorpion Island - where THE most venomous scorpions hang out and dig up some treasure and then back to Capt Jack. If that's the case.. It ain't easy. He's one of those NPCs you have to escort that tend to run like headless chickens and the baddies in the area tend to view as lunch. They go chasing after HIM, instead of having their attention on you. So you'd have to chase after the scorpions, turtles and sand people who are chasing after him - all while making your way to the target areas... Not so easy. It's enough to make you wanna scream! I kinda got lucky in the first part when I ran the quest... He eventually ran right into East Turbak - the first stop so it was a question of taking the initiative and running inside. On the 2nd leg, not so much. He kept going further away and got himself killed. No easy way to go about this one. Ranged weapons are almost mandatory, also combat arts that can do damage at a range. If you've got the Shadow Warrior, reflective emmanation is a must - along with the mod that allows you to pass RE on to your party members. Make sure that one's cranked WAY up to 11...! Edit: Oh.. and actually... The nearest monolith is halfway between Tharum and Badawi.. Not helpful at all...
  16. DOH! Hate when that happens. For what it's worth - most likely it CAN be fixed. It's more a question of "Is it worth fixing?" If it's going to cost more than the price of a new system, it may not be worth the effort. Any idea what's wrong with it?
  17. The same trick can be used to get the brother of the poor lass who's fiance dumped her (from the other elf outpost) who wants to kick your backside but wants to join you to comfort his sister in the big city. He gets nuts, runs off and will get himself killed if you're not careful. Easy solution - skip him until you've activated the resurrection stone in the big city - it's a short hop to the sister's house. I believe it's called "Unexpected News" or something similar.
  18. Gotta agree. Just because those stupid (or plain suicidal) individuals can't stay well behind my character and let me clear the path for them. I had really hard time keeping Mary Ann alive in "Orpheus" quest. She was running around in circles in the Orpheus' crypt, a pack of rats snapping at her heels while I was busy with zombies and other rats. It was kinda funny, actually: Mary Ann runned around in panic, and my Seraphim chased the rats following her. It's a plain miracle she didn't die while my combat arts were still regenerating, and I was able to heal her up again with Hallowed Restoration. I think I had to heal her at least four or five times... But as annoying as those escort quests may be, I just have to accept all of them. Why? Because I am playing the game the very first time. I have to see what they are like; no matter how insignificant or ridiculous they might seem. It's a whole different thing later, when/if I have finished the game... Funny thing about Mary Ann in the Orpheus quest. She's sort of like the undead. She can't be killed. The first time I ran through the quest, I damn near made a mess in my shorts with the way she'd run around being chased by zombies and rats - and watching her health drop like a rock. Tried healing her, but that was pretty much a useless endeavor.. I just concentrate on whacking the zombies, rats and various baddies. As soon as her health drops to 0, it gets replenished automatically by the game. Once you've made it to her zombie boyfriend, and accept the quest he will likewise join you in a semi-immortal kind of thing. Now then, when you go to see Orpheus, he will give you a choice.. Either kill Mary Ann and her zombie boyfriend or take Orpheus on and kill him.. If you elect to kill the pair, then they lose their "invulnerability" and die. If you whack Orpheus - they maintain their auto regeneration thing until you exit the cave and talk to the guy and the quest is finished.
  19. Oh Schot - I'm assuming you've been modifying the map on maplib.net - right? Did you, per chance, modify the permissions any...? I'm getting error messages when trying to view the map - something about "An error occured..." "You do not have permission to view this map.." Something be fubar with the map. I can't seem to get from here to there.
  20. Might be a slight problem with getting that utility... Seems the post you linked to was to one posted by Carolyn Hacker - and her link to the file is hosted at download.ascaron.com... And correct me if I'm wrong - but that link is as dead as the proverbial door nail since Ascaron went belly up. BUT all is not lost. A quick trip via Google and I found a copy on another web site. I'd be willing to upload it somewhere more convenient - on this site or on Sacredwiki or wherever is most convenent.
  21. Well... Yeah.. Given I just went through the area looking for him. Tore my hair (what's left of it) out looking for him inside the caves.. Finally found him just outside of the cave furthest down the path. He's disguised as an Orc and is hanging out near some barrels and a tent. I'd go back and take a screenshot of him - except I've already talked to him and sent him packing back to the office. Mind you, I am playing v 2.43. Who knows. Maybe someone decided to relocate him just for the heck of it in Ice and Blood... There are 3 guys in the immediate area. Neither one of them is in a cave. I know the guy wolf is talking about. he is in between caves on the ledge I think. I remember a little dude just inside the first cave to the left. Can't remember his name or what NPC model Ya know.. You're right. That is Michael Dumont. He's in the guise of a flaming kobold type dude.. My bad.. Too many employees to keep track of... In the immortal words of Emily Latella.... Never Mind...
  22. I'm wondering if there's other mechanics involved. In some other games, I've noticed that some items tend to be bloody difficult to find until you find your first - and once you've done so, the floodgates seem to open and the once rare item suddenly becomes almost as common as dirt. For instance - in GTA San Andreas, you could look around you and see the usual crappy cars in the area, but if you swiped a really good car, and brought it into the 'hood, you'd see more and more of them pop up while you were driving it. Just reading the thread here seems to indicate there's something similar in the underlying mechanics of Sacred2...
  23. Well... Yeah.. Given I just went through the area looking for him. Tore my hair (what's left of it) out looking for him inside the caves.. 24. Question: What version of Windows do you have? If you're running Windows 7, there's a known issue or two. You might want to try running it in XP SP3 compatability mode.
  25. Well... AS long as you're asking... There's one guy in the Orc territories - Michael Dumont - who, according to the map is located IN a cave. Actually... He's right outside of the last cave where you run into the bosses - Thranak and the Ice Lord.
