  1. I don't play the Dryad much because I find it difficult to play and not as much fun as the other characters but I recently decided to try it again using the CM patch and the line seems different than I remembered it to be. I am stuck after I completed the quest "Life in the city" and I can't find the next Blue marker or person to start the next part of the blue quest line. can someone point me to the next one please? Thanks
  2. This method was simple and worked fantastic! Only problem now is that it seems to outrun the game in that it sometimes studders or freezes for a split second in order to display the land, buildings, people...etc. But that I can live with
  3. Thanks for the help. I couldn't find any of them if I didn't include all the space between the type and the = #, had to be exactally as it shows the first one in the text file (type {9 empty spaces here} = 1,) after that it was easy to do. I'll see how it goes in the game when I get into it in a minute. The last time I say a posting on how to get this done you have to find the Hero creature number then open a different text file match that number and get another number from that then finaly go to the creature file (I think) it was a 4 or 5 step process. Where as yours seems much easier.
  4. There used to be a step by step desciption on how to do this for each of the characters but for some reason that post has been lost in time, so I am asking if anyone has a copy of the method that was posted or knows how it's done to please post it for me (and others). Thanks
  5. I don't know what you meant by " delete all the rules regarding sacred2- the game will reinstall them" But I managed to fix it and it had to do with the Balance text. Edited by gogoblender: Comments removed, off topic
  6. Ok.. So let's go through this. Sacred 2 has two components that run when playing in single player mode. One is the game server, the other is the game client. What your screen shot is showing is a picture of the game client being unable to talk to the local game server. As to why this is happening - there are a number of possible reasons. The game is not installed properly. The server program is missing or corrupt somehow. Maybe it's being blocked by the firewall. You've got a networking issue - TCP/IP is having a problem. Maybe you've got a virus or other malware of some sort trying to redirect TCP/IP somewhere bad. Without accessing your system directly, I couldn't tell you which, if any, is your problem or if it's something else. 1) The game has been installed "properly" because it's worked fine since the reinstall on 5/8/2010 *of course the known bugs with this game has occurred* 2) Sacred 2 is in the exceptions list for the firewall, should there be one for the MOD as well? That would be helpful answer. 3) No networking issue as there have not been any other networking problems. 4) No TCP/IP issues as well. Other errors would have happened **Gees why not just blame my house electrical systems.** 5) Of course when all else fails just blame it on a virus. Of course it must be a specific virus that hits sacred 2 only.... The only useful thing from this response was the mention of the server for sacred2. Now I have NEVER had this error before but would I need to add this in the excluded list? Is there a way to find the addon mod to exclude it? I wouldn't think so but then I'm not the one who made the mod either. I would appreaciate any help as I think the CM would be fun to use, as far as the little I saw of it.
  7. I would be greatful to receive some help with this as it pops up within minutes of me going into a game then boots me out to the main screne, thus making game play impossible.
  8. after install and using Single Player mode I get this strange error even though I am NOT connected to any outside server.
  9. I can't believe no one hasn't looked into this since the last post in May of last year. I mean doesn't this bug anyone else that you need to use up a lot of space for the different potions? In every other game I've played someone has figured out a way to increase the stack size to say 50-100. Hell I'd happily send someone a case of their favorite beer if they posted a mod for it.
  10. It's been some time since I was last here and it's good to see some new things have happened such as the outlook of the website and updates. The problem for me is that I have made some changes to the Blueprint.txt and the Balance.txt files, so if I install this patch will it reset all the things I've changed or will it simply fail on install?
  11. First thanks for sharing this with us all. Second I need some clarification on what needs to be done in order to mod things. Actually all I want to mod is the run speed and I can't find the CommonSpeedcreatureinfo.txt If it's in the Rar file you uploaded, must I install the whole thing, am I forced to accept all the changes or can I select which one's I want? Is there a way to change and increase the run speed for all the characters other than installing your files please let me know what that is. Thanks
  12. I know this might be a silly question but I need to know. Just which Text file are you amending? And where is it found?
  13. Wow 3 months and NO Updates from anyone on this
  14. Well it looks like nonebody else seemed to have this issue....and no real help on it so to speak. I did fix it, sort of...oh well.
  15. Well I would turn off the tips if I knew how that's done. I did make an OptionsCustom.txt file because I had some fixes in there already. I found a line in the Options.txt for tutorial = 1 But I know that you shouldn't make any chnages to that so I added a line to my optionsCustom.txt file to this tutorial = 0 I'll see how this works out.
