  1. Alternatively, try downloading and using the Patch_2.40.0. It applies every patch released for the original 2.0.2 version to get it to 2.40. Then's there the 2.43 patch you can get as well after this one. Thank you, thats the one I used (also 2.43) now its on! I am also using win7 which I had to change to XP sp6 to get it working correctly
  2. yar, ofcourse, I had to get the first ones..ah, first..thanks, and I shall know in an hour or so if this works. Thanks for the help
  3. Its installed in the folder C: Programs(x86) , Deep Silver , Sacred2-Fallen Angel. and this is where I moved the patches to. frustrating, cos my old PC was a bit of a pig, and now I wanna play with all the effects on, as its ment to be played Hmm...did you download the patches for the correct version? As far as Im aware yes, I installed the UK version last time, and thats what Im trying to do now. I even have 3 patches just to make sure Im using the right one.
  4. Its installed in the folder C: Programs(x86) , Deep Silver , Sacred2-Fallen Angel. and this is where I moved the patches to. frustrating, cos my old PC was a bit of a pig, and now I wanna play with all the effects on, as its ment to be played
  5. I recently purchased a new PC, and still have Sacred2 installed on my other one. I installed it fresh on this new beast and downloaded the patches. Apparently Sacred2 cannot be found on my system, and I need to reinstall. Ok, so I removed it, and reinstalled, but, same issue. cmon..what am I doing wrong? Please help, my Shadow Warrior is getting bored.
  6. I use a ranged staff (I cant remember its name cos its been awhile since I played)and cast Scything Sweep, Frenzied Rampage , buff with Reflective Emanation and Nether Allegiance and Im set. I dont get a scratch so I can afford to wear some lighter more appropriate armour. Does Ruinous Onslaught cause the Hellhound to charge? And Belligerent Vault to leap? Ive not tried them yet..prolly cos my hound died. sad day.
  7. hmm, I remember taking this deity once and never had a problem with it. kinda ran round, carved up then left with no troubles. shame about the xp cos beating something like that is quite a feat really
  8. So I summoned up my god powers with my level 6 Shadow Warrior and the Sakara Demon starts doing some damage. Then my henchman, whom I had for the hireling mission, takes offence to the demon and starts shooting him with a bow. next thing ya know Ive got a blimmen great demon after me. No real choice but to run into a cave. I popped my head out to see if the coast is clear but nah, its still there, and terrorising the locals. which I might add Im not getting any xp for. Next choice is to throw my quite weak skeletal fortification at it and hope for the best. Going toe to toe with a demon is not a good idea. demonic blow just isnt doing enough damage. neither is the skeletal fortification. And I ran out of health potions and so close to ending the life of a Sakara Demon. After I restarted and topped up on health potions I headed back to where this beast was lurking and had it out with him/her/it(?) and was quite dissapointed after giving it a jolly good thrashing, that I recieved no xp for it. ah, so, anyone else had this happen to them? I could have stayed at a distance and let it take alot of fights for me, and have it follow/chase me round the map and take a bit of health of bosses for me, but cripes, when it hits, ya feel a bit of a sting
  9. I use an energy weapon with my Shadow Warrior. It almost never misses. Demonic Blow, great for a huge blow to a boss from a distance. Scything Sweep, at a moderate range it can fire (and I have a picture somewhere) 9 shots at enemies. or it may only fire one if their is only one attacker. Frenzied Rampage, had up to atleast 5 rounds pumped into one creature, and if it kills an enemy one shot it hits another, then another.. Astral Lord Focus, cos skellies are handy for fodder and doing damage on big bosses. Tactics Lore for the mods. Astral Lord Lore, if you throw a skeletal fortification under an enemy it does serious damage. and by the time it finishes I can throw another out..anyone know if you can have two at a time:)
  10. DunJuan

    I want one

I shall stick to my Shadow Warrior for now, and as soon as I get my hands on a Dragon Mage, 'Biff', can have a rest for awhile
  11. I use a magic stave with my SW. Works well, and when used with scything sweep it can hit up to 11 creatures, at range. Havent adjusted much to make this a more powerful weapon, never know, may find a better sword or axe later on. I would put a pic up of my SW in action, but unsure how to do so on here
  12. Excellent stuff, thank you very much for this. Now off to see if I can get my bonded mount. *holds breath* Cheers
  13. I tried all 3 of these patches and none have worked thus far. My game is version 2.0.2.0 (according to the read me file when I installed the game) Downloaded from http://update.sacred2.com/dl_international.html (Eng not US) Sacred2-UK-INT-2_34_0_0-Full Sacred2-UK-2_34_0_0-Full Sacred2-UK-2_31_0_0-2_34_0_0 Should I be moving these files to a specific folder? Thanks for the other answers too.
  14. I can get up to the area where the Seraphin takes me on a quest, some island somewhere (cant remember names sorry, north on the map) and this dude is going on about a bonded mount, but when I try and talk to him my game crashes, everytime. I downloaded a patch, but even that is telling me to re-install my game. First, is it ok to save my saves elsewhere, re-install then put my saves back to carry on or will it glitch the game? And is it possible to continue my quests with the Seraphin even though I am a Shadow Warrior? Also, do I need 'riding' to be able to use my bonded mount, which as yet I am unable to obtain. Thanks
  15. Back n forth between Blacksmiths would be great for special goodies :Llama:
  16. I have a Hammer of Doom that leeches 152 per hit. Teamed witha sword doing another 23 it does alright. High Elf runes have a +4 leech if you can socket them. Found my hammer about level 36ish
  17. You need version 2.31.0 Build 1453 client side, server-side is their business and only works in MP. % chance of Deathblow means that when an enemy has below the % amount in HP, you deal 2x damage on them. So if I have 40% chance of Deathblow, and fight Xianthar (Dragon region boss), who has, say exactly 10,000 HP, I'll deal double damage once he's below 4000. WICKED! thank you for that. Now I know what weapons to equip when comming across boss monsters. oh and I have no idea what version I have and build client 1453 client side is way out of my league. Im a Shadow warrior, not a High Elf
  18. urgh, not to sure how to post my character sorry. Level 35 Shadow Warrior, on the verge of level up. What does 'opponent level for death blow' mean? I had this at about 40% at one stage, and thought it ment I had a 40% chance to outright kill an opponent. hasnt happened yet, but its only taking 2 hits to kill normal monsters. Decided to up the chance to find valuable items, and it sits ok at 35% Couple of parts from different sets, and getting bucketloads of coin in the process. great game I must say, even better than the original and that was great. still is really. Cant seem to get MP to work for me either. and patches, whats the story with them, do I need them? sorry if Im posting in the wrong forum people.
