  1. When you check your weapon anything in white is already unlocked and will be an active modifier. Anything in red has to be unlocked by the respective weapon lore before it can be active. CM Lore will greatly enhance damage done by Radiant Pillar, Baneful Smite, etc. Raising it along with CM Focus will allow for quicker modding of the CAs. Cleansing Brilliance is very good for T-energy and undead but those creatures are limited to certain areas in Ancaria so once out of those areas you will not get maximum benefit from it. I take it you are planning to use only one buff, probably Battle Stance if you don't go with concentration? Personally, I don't use Bargaining as I tend to find a fair amount of set, rare, unique and legendary items exploring and doing quests. But many on the forum like Bargaining for their high level shoppers so personal preference rules.
  2. I agree with you. All my toons that use multihit CAs seem to hit within that range. Sometimes it looks funny as a creature starts to run at my toon from outside the range and just as it gets within "the circle" he falls down when my toon is using the CA.
  3. The small additional damage done to me is not worth having three specs. Even with two I sometimes have to hit/cast through them in tight quarters or in the middle of large mobs. But then this game allows for a lot of variation in personal play style and no answer is right for everybody. Experimenting is part of the fun.
  4. Except for modifiers particular to a class of weapons, sword, hafted, etc. dual wield duplicates and replaces most of the attributes of the weapon and allows for higher weapon levels. I would just max dual wield and unlock the modifiers on swords with sword lore at one point if you want to take advantage of sword modifiers. There is no particular advantage to maxing both.
  5. I have been running two SWs with NA modded for sharp blades, shields and elite armor. So far my bodyguards have held their own although I did lose one spec when he got mobbed by 10 on him when my SW was level 35. Just had to recast the buff and he was back again. I picked this config after reading all the threads on it. Four specs definitely got in each others way according to those that tried it. Three occasionally got in each others way but damage done depended on whether you picked sharp blades or third spec in bronze mod first based on consensus.
  6. It's not Orpheus you get but Lorimor along with his girlfriend Maryanne. Orpheus is the quest boss you kill. Yes that too I think I got confused because in the greek myth orpheus is not an undead. Yeah in the Greek myth he plays so lovely that Hades releases his girlfriend and they both go back to the land of the living. In the game quest the roles are reversed as the girl goes to free the guy instead.

  8. it is not exactly a soccer ball but it may definitely be a soccer reference! P.S. I just noticed my avatar's color go with the Halloween skin!

  10. Only one question: where are the ghosts, vampires and werewolves? Otherwise it's a great skin.
  11. Veeeery interesting! I use Firefox and it never crashes when I check my Hotmail accounts. I know you probably do but I have to ask do you keep it up to date? What other programs are running at the same time either in other windows or background? Some antivirus programs don't play nice in certain situations. What OS are you running?
  12. Just a side note referring to the pop culture aspect of things in the game. Have you noticed that the mobs in the game frequently either quote lines from various movies or say things indicating they know they are characters in a game? For example, frequently heard in Tyr Lysia : "To the pain" is a reference to the hero's line in his showdown with the villian in The Pricess Bride. A character in Tim Allen's Galaxy movie says something along the lines of being a red shirt (Star Trek reference) and an extra to be killed off; in the game the line is "I knew I was just an extra". Another favorite in Tyr Lysia is "I know where you parked your car, player". Another thread already mentioned the Dryad's reference to the Highlander movies. So how many movies are referenced in the game?
  13. maybe your inquisitor can hire out his skills to the Denver airport. See story below. DENVER, Colo. — A new problem is taking off at Denver International Airport: car-eating rabbits, NBC affiliate KUSA reports. Dexter Meyer told KUSA he just bought a Turbo Diesel Volkswagen Jetta. He drove it to the Pikes Peak Parking Lot at Denver International Airport and headed out for a nine-day vacation, he told the station. Meyer told KUSA this story: "I turned on the ignition and all these lights started flashing, I pulled out the manual and it said I had a big problem so I took back to the dealership," Meyer said. "The service manager said, 'Your wiring has been eaten by a rodent probably.' I said, 'I live in Stapleton.' 'I'm not aware of any rodents running around Stapleton.' And then he said, 'You didn't have the car parked at DIA did you?' And I said, 'Actually, yes that's where I picked the car up.' And he said, 'We've had a significant number of problems with rabbits eating through the wiring in people's cars.'" Meyer filed a complaint with the DIA Risk Management Department about the damages. "They said they were aware of the problem but basically said we don't know how to solve it... They said we have a fence and I said, 'I understand that, but it's clearly not working,'" he said. After spending $238, Meyer's car is like new but he now just wants airport parking lot customers to know what happened to him and be aware of the problem. "I'm just concerned people know and that the airport is at least notifying people," Meyer said. DIA officials told KUSA they see about a dozen of these claims every year. They declined to be on camera or release a statement to KUSA about Meyer's incident, saying that it's impossible to prove it happened at the airport. A service manager at Larry Miller Dealership in Lakewood, where Meyer took his car, confirmed to KUSA the car was repaired for damage caused by rodents or rabbits. He also confirmed that the dealership has seen at least a handful of cars come in recently with the owners saying their car warning lights came on after being parked at Denver International. © 2010 msnbc.com Reprints
  14. I don't know about how this gets affected by combat discipline as my two DMs don't have it. I use two CAs in combos with both of them and can change them anytime without problems. Maybe the glitch shows up when using three or more in combo?
  15. This is an interesting Egg. Does anyone know where in the game it is? gogo This is in a cave north of the little hamlet of blustone. When you cross the bridge keep to the north side of the hill and a trail takes you up to a camp where Kobolds are fighting elves. There is a little stream that you cross and head NE to a cave that has several statues surrounding a fountain of T-energy.
  16. I guess the extra damage my dual wield hafted weapons Inquisitor is doing comes from Memetar's Protector damage:physical 12.8% and Hammer of the North damage:ice 12.1% unlocked by having hafted weapons lore? But isn't that stacking modifiers? He doesn't have any double hit mods. your Inquisitor does he use ruthless mutilation CA if so did you mod the gold slot to frenzy if so this will add a chance for double hits not the weapons themselves. just a thought Haven't gotten any other CAs in Gruesome Inquisition modded except Frenetic Fervor and Purifying Chastisement. Because of regen time use FF only occasionally.
  17. Dexterity increases the defense value significantly. When fighting the opponent's attack value is compared to your defense value to determine how often and how hard you get hit and vice versa. For a caster without great armor or shields this is an important stat in melee situations. Raising the level of the familiar through runes will significantly increase hitpoints, intelligence and willpower when that buff is active. BTW, I don't have a shopper for my DMs but got the chance valuables% stuff through drops and quests. Lucky, I guess.

  19. Nice to know as I am running two SWs right now in SP.
  20. if you plan to use one handed staffs exclusively then I would switch shield lore for bargaining. If you plan to stay with 2-handed staffs then tactics lore or combat discipline would be a good choice. With armor and jewelry that has "find valuable" modifiers my two single player DMs get plenty of unique weapons and armor so I don't use bargaining. Vitality affects hitpoints which are upped along with willpower and intelligence when using the familiar buff so I would later split between dexterity for increased defense and stamina for lower regen.
  21. Well I'm not sure how the inventory screen determines weapon damage but 125 and 140 equals 265 not the 324 on the screen. I'll let the number crunchers here cue me in on the way it adds up. I think strength also adds to the damage but I may be wrong. You don't have to go for mastery but just one point in the weapon lore you are using will unlock the modifiers on those weapons and there are some pretty good modifiers on unique and legendary weapons, e.g. Boneslicer, Metamar's. Since I dual wield two hafted weapons, one socketed for fire and one socketed for ice, I don't have to switch weapons if a mob has slight resistance to one or the other and I can mix pieces (armor, jewelry) that have high fire or ice damage attributes. Right now my Inquisitor is one of many toons that I am rotating through so he still has all of Atamark to go. I know the dark crusade guys have fair amount of armor against fire so I'll see if I have to modify his combo against them.
  22. You are a great parent for working so hard to make your daughters play more enjoyable. Not many parents in the US take the time to learn what games their kids are playing leave lone finesse them for most enjoyable play. My 8 yr old granddaughter is into horse games as well and I've spent several hours with her learning the ins and outs of her games. I raise my mug in cheers to you.
  23. I'm running a level 42 inquisitor with dual wield hafted weapons. I notice that he does "additional damage 24" with each hit and he hits a lot! Also, the individual weapon damage ratings are 125 and 140 but the inventory screen shows weapon damage of 324 so the modifiers may be stacking.
  24. I'm a US player who also bought the European version of Sacred Gold (boxed copy) and have had no problems playing it on the European servers. Yes, Sacred 2 can be a little finicky at times (freeze up) but it depends on the operating system-Win 7, Vista, XP-that you are using. I have been playing the campaign mode (single player) and am currently running 10 toons. I had no problem using my US saved games with the Gold version after installing the Gold version. One of the nice things the Gold version does is give you a personal imp when you first load up a saved game from the US version whereas the imp was only available in multiplayer in the US version. Unlike the US version any new characters you create in Gold can be personalized somewhat, hair, skin color, imp color. I charged my purchase to my credit card and the monthly statement showed a charge in US dollars instead of pounds.
  25. I was under the impression it improved the High Elfs casting speed? Or have I read it wrong? Actually it was a typo; I meant she not he. I was referring to the fact she often misses if the the target is moving unless you use the tracking mod on ancestral fireball.
