On ps3, I have never gotten the Forrest Guardian to respawn.

What level were you, and what level was the dragon?

AxP, are you saying you guys can change gear with a hot key? That must be nice.

That is typical to what I have experienced on ps3. Most (all?) of the mini bosses do not require a quest.

Allow me to elaborate... I am still relatively new to Sacred. My first character is level 131 and has neither EP, nor Bargaining. At one point, she had almost 500 million in gold because the merchants had nothing really worth buying. As for drops, I am still 2 pieces short for the set I want. I have started buying expensive junk to fund my new shopper. My shopper is level 10 or 11. My EP is at 5, and my Bargaining is 1 hard point below my level. I have six +1 relics for both EP & Bargaining that I swap between as needed. So far, the only good item that I purchased was a sword. My other sword and all my armor have been drops. The drops seem really good, but the stuff for sale not so much. I plan on seeing this thru to Niob, but, as of now, I remain unconvinced regarding Bargaining.

It is not a question of price, it is a question of there being anything other than junk for sale.

I prefer a pair of Officer's Sabers, but if you also have Swords skill, you might consider Boneslicers. Boneslicers have some nice bonuses that Swords skill unlocks, and, since they are a quest reward, Boneslicers are easier to come by.

I have had NPC's hang around after failed quests, but they always go away when I restart the game.

That must be nice! If there is any way to do that on the consoles, I have never found it. Not quite sure - but doesn't one of the joysticks/pads on your controller move a cursor type thing around so you can pick and choose things to pick up? or perhaps a barrel or something to open? I'd try moving that onto a hireling to see if that works... AFAIK, there is no way to get a pointer. The only way to pick things up is by picking up everything within a large circle (and that same button activates monoliths and talks to NPC's, so you have to be careful where you are standing).

I'm on ps3, so I cannot help, but I have to ask... How, and why, are you level 158 on platinum?

The short answer is that item drops are random. Higher level enemies, elites and bosses have a higher chance of giving better drops. This is why people farm bosses. Note this is not a guarantee. This morning, I defeated the White Griffin on Niob and walked away with just 2 potions and an amulet for a CA for a different class. You might try this for a little light reading : Item Drop Mechanics

For XP, make sure and watch the enemy level. On ps3, the targeting ring is color-coded based on enemy level (white, green, yellow and red). Starting out, I want to stay green. Avoid white because the XP you earn is not worth your time.

I would not imagine you are so far gone as to need to start over. Post your character level and skill levels.

The Additional Damage displayed on the screen appears to be off by 3 decimals places (1/1000th of expected value). My theory, at this time, is that the Additional Damage displayed is the actual damage. As for the healing aspect of LL%, I have not even started on that one yet. Edit: wolfie2kX-That makes sense as to how the Additional Damage is calculated. The assumption is that the damage shown and what is actually applied are different values. My tests seem to debunk that assumption.

It is a commonly accepted belief in the community that the Additional Damage displayed on the consoles is off by 3 decimal places. Does anyone know where this idea came from?

I am a programmer by profession, so testing is something I can do. The problem here is that I know of more variables than I can control, not to mention the variables that I do not even know about.

Perfect! The mobile skin now has everything I think I would want. I already found the Search button, now with "New Content", I am content. I access this site mostly from my Droid, so this will be a great help.

PC huh? Ignore what I said above. I know that Divine Protection was severely weakened on the PC version.

I tried Kral without Battle Stance, but I quickly discovered that its 507.3% defense bonus is essential. Without BS, Kral tore threw my Divine Protection like it was tin foil. I had to fire my Divine Gift and spam heal potions to stay alive long enough to bring up BS. I cannot keep track of both sword damage and BS damage at the same time, the BS damage goes too fast. The best thing I could do was count the number of BS reflect hits. I counted 35 hits, virtually all for 538 points (a few were in the 600's), which gives 18,830 points of damage. In the last battle, the sword damage was 23k short of Kral's total HP. I know that trying to combine points from different battles is less than ideal, but the sword and BS damages together seem to account for virtually all of Kral's HP.

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, so please move it to the appropriate forum, if necessary. When I enter http://darkmatters.org into the browser on my Droid, it takes me to the mobile version of the site. I like this feature, but I cannot find an option for "View New Content". In order to access that feature, I have to go to the full version of the site. I tried going to the full version and bookmarking the "View New Content" link. When I started a new browser window and hit that bookmark, it displayed a bunch of errors. Does anyone know how to access "View New Content" from the mobile site? TIA
