  1. Thanks again everyone for the replies, Llama for your clarification, much appreciated. I am afraid my comp. hasn't the beef to run two copies at the moment, rats..lol so I'll have to do it another way. Capt.Smack that makes sense, since the HE can have bargaining right off the bat. I never had a HE shopper on 360 just my seraphim. JK, sounds like a good idea and I appreciate your input. Thanks DB. I might be looking into the balance.txt settings also. I seem to remember a discussion about that very thing. I'll have to dig it up. I do have another question. The blank 200 characters seem to only be able to access Niob in a free play LAN session and not all of the others. Is it something I'm doing wrong or does it have to do with the balance.txt settings? I wanted to do some set farming with the White Griffon and Boar in Bronze. Thanks again for everyone's help and patience. crowgrrrl
  2. Hello and welcome, Dante! Hmmm, I've never had poutine either. It sounds delish. I would have to make my own..lol since I've never seen it in my area and I have no idea where to get fresh cheese curds, though I suppose they could be made as well? Enjoy your stay! crowgrrrl
  3. Thanks Scott! I had seen Barristan's shopping network and wonderd how that would work for the other classes, his is TG network I think. I know you can shop the ammys and rings and such but other classes gear doesn't show up as much as if you had that particular class shopping, at least I don't think it does..Not sure what difference is between PC and consoles on this. I found bits and pieces of other classes "stuff" when I shopped with my seraphim on console but as it should be most was for the seraphim. Do most of you use certain shopper toons for ammys/rings and a class shopper for armour, etc.? Just curious since I would assume that answer to be yes, but I could be completely off the mark here. Again, thank you all for your time and patience.
  4. Thanks Llama for the fast reply and info. I'm going to show my complete ignorance here and ask how one person could take another character in a LAN game on the same PC through the various difficulties without having another person to run said character? I know it's a stupid question and perhaps I misunderstood it, I apologize and plead for your patience..lol Just so you know, it's probably obvious..lol, I am a complete idiot when it comes to the down and dirty tech/game mechanic stuff so I feel like I am missing something really obvious in your post when you are talking about running a second copy and running the trader through with a higher level character, sorry about that. I always wondered how it was possible to have a level 5 Niob toon since unlocking the difficulties is level based I thought. Again please excuse my ignorance for I'm just a babe in the woods, well make that old fogey in the woods when it comes to the mechanics and such. I have a feeling my brain is gonna explode before it's over..lol Thanks again for the info Llama and your patience
  5. Hello and welcome, James! This is a great group, always willing to help, answer any questions, etc. So ask away. I too am playing on both the 360 and PC though I'm getting ready to settle down for some serious PC time..lol I know I will be hopping on the 360 on occasion just to mess around with builds and maybe manage to get my long time Seraphim to 200..lol I think it's awesome that you are rising to the challenge and playing the RPGs and I wholeheartedly second what gogo said, This is a great place to be. Hope you enjoy your stay with us. crowgrrrl
  6. Hiya Everyone, I've got a couple of questions. Still consider myself new to PC and getting ready to settle down and put some serious time in the game. I will be playing SP for the most part and wondered if there was an effective way to set up a Shopper Network in SP. Starting out pretty much with an empty chest, though I have a few toons running around and have collected a few bits of gear. I am actually thinking about using the blank 200 TG as a Niob smither to make things easier for my beginning toons. I've read a bit about bargaining and still a little confused (whether it's worth putting more than 75 hard points in it) and have read about Gogo's permanent shopping network which I think is pretty much MP based for Clan D.A.R.K. I know the importance of a Bargaining Suit, Buff Suit, etc. but with pretty much an empty chest is a Shopper Network in SP doable? I'm kinda of at a loss as how to proceed and would appreciate any help and advice I can get. I suppose I could use the blank 200 toons to farm lower level sets (lowest meaning level 20..lol)as Farmer Schot did to help out with bargaining suits. It would take a fair bit of time I think since you would have to build up capital for the shoppers. I could probably use the blank 200 toon to funnel items down for the early bargainers to sell. I just wonder if it is even possible to do if you didn't have access or want to use the blank toons. Many thanks to DB for those I do apologize if this has been covered somewhere else, if so please point me in the right direction..lol crowgrrrl
  7. Hello and welcome! I play on both PC and 360 and I enjoy them both. The PC version has a lot more to offer as wolfie pointed out, plus the CM patch is another bonus. I got immersed in the Sacred world through the console version so the PC has taken some getting used to for me since I had never played a PC game before...yeah I know, I'm really really deprived..lol Anyhow, you'll enjoy the console version but you definitely should go the PC version route when you can. I'm planning on concentrating on my PC game now since I finally managed to get all the 360 achievements...lol
  8. Hello and welcome! Deep South, eh? I'm from NC myself. Yum, grits, country ham, red eye gravy and biscuits.. Some of my favs...lol Makes me hungry, too and I've already eaten supper lol (note to self, add grits to the grocery list..lol) @Ysne58 I completely agree..lol
  9. Hello and welcome! Enjoy your stay. Everyone is always willing to help with any questions you might have. Blind Guardian..lol I always do the Blind Guradian Quest it's such fun even though I have never used any of the instruments for my toons. I have a CD of theirs somewhere, hmmm I'll have to dig it out...lol Anyhow, have fun and good luck with your university studies. crowgrrrl
  10. Hello and welcome, Allan. Sorry I'm so late to the party. But hey, better late than never..lol Sarah
  11. Hello and welcome, Chris. This is a great bunch. Ahh the good ole pen-n-paper rpg. I have very fond memories of the many hours my friends and I spent playing.lol HaHa Knuckles, I also remember when floppy really meant floppy..lol Enjoy your stay! Sarah
  12. Hiya Tharkane. Being pretty much what I consider a noob here on the forums I have not had the pleasure of knowing you in the past. I found the world of Sacred through Sacred 2 having never played the original. Since I enjoyed Sacred 2 I actually picked it and the Underworld expansion up, but haven't played it much yet. And I am probably the only person in the universe who has never played Diablo, though I have certainly heard of it..lol Yeah, can ya tell that this old fogey is very early in her gaming experience...lol Man, I feel so deprived. I'm gonna have to go back and play all those games you guys have been playing for years just to catch up..lol
  13. Hello and welcome! I also play on both PC and 360. After all we have to feed our addiction..lol
  14. Hello and welcome. Enjoy your stay. Hot blue chick, huh? I think there should be a hot blue hunk in there somewhere..lol. You will have a smurfing good time here.
  15. Silearth, I am sorry to hear of your loss. I lost my mom a number of years ago because of botched surgery and got to be with her in the end. I am thankful for that. I don't know if this will provide any comfort since the grief is still new but a dear friend gave this poem to me when Mom died and I hope that it will give you a small measure of comfort. My heart and prayers are with you. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am in a thousand winds that blow, I am the softly falling snow. I am the gentle showers of rain, I am the fields of ripening grain. I am in the morning hush, I am in the graceful rush Of beautiful birds in circling flight, I am the starshine of the night. I am in the flowers that bloom, I am in a quiet room. I am in the birds that sing, I am in each lovely thing. Do not stand at my grave bereft I am not there. I have not left. (attributed to Mary E. Frye)
  16. Welcome! This is a great bunch of people as you already know..lol.
  17. Hello and welcome. Enjoy your stay. This is definitely the place to have all your questions answered. This has to be the most friendly helpful group I have ever encountered. Have fun!
  18. Hello and welcome JK. Enjoy your stay.
  19. You still play on xbox? After the first day on PC, I never wanted to go back to the console version. I week later, my PC went down and I was back on ps3. My first thought was, "God! How did I ever play this?" lujate, hahaha...I know, but you have to realize that I have only been gaming for a few years on consoles. I had never played an FPS until I played Borderlands...lol..and man when I first started I was so completely clueless and died so many times it was pathetic..lol but amazingly enough I actually got half way decent didn't die much and actually finished that game. (of which I am quite proud...lol) My "gaming" in the early days consisted of old school D&D with friends (yeah with the miniatures and everything..lol). I had never heard of Sacred (yeah I know I'm completely deprived..lol)until the XBOX version of Sacred 2 came out and that was all I knew and for an inexperienced gamer as myself the console version made it a little easier, not necessarily better of course but I felt like I could actually accomplish something. My first builds sucked and I died so many times it's not even funny..lol but after finding DarkMatters and the wealth of info found here, it all made sense and I could actually make fun and playable toons. I enjoy the PC version and am getting used to the controls. I still find it more challenging than the console version which isn't a bad thing. Yeah, I still lose my pointer sometimes..lol but I'm getting better and by golly I'm gonna have a level 200 toon if it kills me..lol. So needless to say I've got years of gaming to catch up on.
  20. Hiya Brad and welcome. Enjoy your stay. Once you join you will never leave...mwahaaahaa. p.s. I still play Sacred on the 360. Gamertag SarahCrow. Maybe I'll see ya sometime. Between Sacred on the PC and on XBOX feels like I eat, sleep and breathe Sacred which isn't a bad thing...lol....a tad excessive perhaps:) sarah
  21. Hello Pat, and welcome. Hope you enjoy your stay. Heehee I'm sure you will. sarah
  22. Heehee DB is on the ball as usual. I still have not made it to the Closed Net myself. Still poking along in Single Player...lol. I am running the newest version of the Community Patch which I believe is v110.
  23. Welcome Drazhar! Everyone here is extremely helpful. I'm pretty much a noob myself. I'm still messing around with Sacred 2 on XBox and playing PC at the same time. (heehee) I'll see if I can find the threads that explain the two for you much better than I can. crowgrrrl
  24. Hiya kovu! Nice to have you with us. Hope you have a wonderful time. I'm a cat person myself. Don't mind dogs but prefer cats. I still miss my black cat Raven. I had to leave her behind when I moved from NC to MO. She has a good home but it really sucks not being able to have a cat. (apartment I live in doesn't allow animals..phooey) Anyhow, enjoy yourself. Glad to meet ya! crowgrrrl
