  1. Trying to grind. Connection is awful though, so It's a slow grind
  2. I'm always about the team big dog. If the best configuration and role for me is to be a meat shield for the team, then it's what I should be If I sit on the outside and snipe cause that's whats best for the team, then that's what I should be If it's to wait till a group gathers so I can smack Area of Effect, then that's what I should be If it's to sit in camp and purchase and smith for the team, then that's what I should be If not, I can just go back and play SP where I'm the only one I hafta think about
  3. Heee. I don't even get a chance to hit em. I round em up, start to swing, and they're down already. So, I just pick up the stuff, and move to the next mob
  4. As long as Ether is there, we can just watch him kill everything and pick stuff up
  5. Me neither. It's interesting to be able to trick a character up, and I believe all you do is get a character right before the guardians, start a campaign Then have someone else join the game, stay in start island, then kill the guardians Then have someone press the button, and go to next level. Jorge is close to running to Plat, so I'd like to see if it works by having someone do it. But as said, tricking someone to a higher level isn't what I'm inta I figure if you can't earn it, you don't deserve it.
  6. *Big Broad Grin* As Lujate says, Hardcore Closed Net is not yet dead. It grows each day, with old players that were tempted by other gaming returning to Ancaria I am pleased
  7. Haaa haaaa haaaa. Narf

  8. History is replete with beserker/barbarian type behavior in battle as well as game play. I figure it's ubiquitous
  9. I like both Gogo and Claudius' ideas. With gogo's, some may argue (like lujate did earlier) this kind of character may suit an RPG more than an A-RPG. Here is why I disagree: Some argue that equipment in Sacred 2 is only 50 % of a character. Some more, some less, but it is always a low number. I challenge then anyone to run their hardcore character naked. If it is only 50 percent, then they should be able to run at about 50 percent effficiency. Get hit twice as hard, hit only half as hard. I just don't see it happening that way With an inventor, you can (like the smith in some ways) build a set of armor to make an OK character a powerhouse. Or a weapon that would would strike fear in any denizen of destruction by the mere sight of it. The focus of this inventor could be more of enchanting items augmenting rather than mostly physical augmentation. Claudius' idea is simply brilliant. As I see it, for balance, the only arts this character would possess is augmenting of equipment. Otherwise it would be too powerful It would hafta be like the old D&D philosophy of making the mage so frail at the beginning to balance out the unmitigated power he would possess later in levels. Additionally, the RPG - ARPG elements would be simply neato. Anyway, that's my 2 bits.
  10. The only diff between a novice and an expert is an expert has made thoughtful changes to maximize utility through experience bro I'm no expert either. I'm just a fanatic
  11. I am curious. Why no tactics chosen? I tried it for not only shooting distance wise but close up fighting as well, and tactics as I remember affects the shots (and crits) too. I took one of these to 25 in silver and had no problems. Bosses took a while, and I was eating pots, but I didn't have my defense up to the level it would have got to later. I wanna try it again, but I got other builds I'm fiddling with at the moment. I chose a two handed staff though, for damage, and it freed another slot up. I too focused on the secondary damage, and if I remember right used bargaining to pick up any staff that had two damage types, and socketed in a third. It was so long ago I can't remember much about it though. I'll prolly try one again
  12. Looking at the build it looks pretty solid overall. I would terrified of being one shotted by an errant fire shot, and couldn't run the blood forest chain (which is my favorite run). There'd be a whole lotta finessing, I think. With the theme you've chosen, although damage lore is nice, I'd think spell resist would be nicer, specially if you maxed it fourth. Welcome back to the board and community
  13. Steerpike1, you nailed it square on the head. Any one who has played a rogue in any hack and slash can testify they are very effective in dispatch of enemies. A flank/backstab is of course a staple, as well as reliance on speed, finesse, and stealth to take down an enemy before they realize they are dying. I believe as well it can be paired with ninjitsu sword sorts of skills (hi criticals, poison, bleeding, et cetera) as well as skills sort employed by the dryad (forest flight, capricious hunter buff) and additionally trap skills to lend more to ghost type characters. This is not to forget the bow assassin, which is also deadly in precise shooting, crippling poisons, stunning, sleep, and other status effect masters It also I believe should make the more subtle weaponry a killer. Daggers, shuriken, small weapons easily concealed, deadly wielded.
  14. Welcome bro. Can't speak for consoles directly, but I think you're doing it right for sure. There are some places that seem to drop specific things more often, but for all drops you're doing the right thing. Mastery in Bargaining can give you better chance for quest item rewards. You can also run a more dedicated hunter that has enhanced perception and rings and amulets with pluses on it to help as well, if drops are your focus Running the Blood Region chain is the absolute best for set items. I played today for about four hours with two different characters and picked up twenty different set items, including six of the same item over a half hour period. For me, it was not as fruitful as usual. It drops that many set items. Finishing each level of difficulty also will give you better items dropped, as the modifiers on them will be higher, so keep that in mind. This is the one he's talkin' bout Lujate -- Can_Christmas_Still_be_Saved
  15. I was thinking of the damage boost primarily. You may be right about this I know it'll help deathly spears, but that don't do much for range of course I was looking at a seraphim ranged build last night that is similar to what I want to do with it
  16. Did the same thing with me yesterday bro. It seems to do that from time to time Then you can log back on another day and its up. Why? I dunno
  17. Playing Hardcore Closed Net just flat Rocks. And so does Lujate
  18. Doing some campaigning, moving all forward in difficulty toward better reward.
  19. Going in again. And I'm not going against level 108 flying eyes with a 42 level character either....
  20. Trying a build on HC Closed Net, seeing how it goes. Never built a SW toon at all, and never a ranged one, so it oughta be a learning experience for sure I like to try new stuff to teach me things, so I figured I'd roll like this CA Arts: Devout Guard Source Ward Lore Source Ward Focus Concentration Combat Discipline Physical: Tactics Ranged Defense: Armor Ward Energy Toughness Because is short on defense, putting all attributes into willpower. Thought also about taking the ranged skill out and adding something else as well, but since I've never done a Source Warden build I dunno how it's gonna go. Using a Shuriken for the attack speed and leech, and the Combat Module set for leech as well. Buffs wise, running the egg and untouchable, and prolly will leave the combat alert as an alert, not buff it. What do you guys think?
