  2. Hello everyone! OK, here goes....my first name is Alan, but please don't ask me for my middle name LMAO. Have a good one all!
  3. I just ran the patch and Sacred does just fine now! Thanks to all of you guys for the help and info. Can't wait to catch you on line for some good old fashioned "hack and slash". Take care and see y'all soon! Moonwatcher
  4. No I haven't. Can you please inform me? I have trouble using the TV remote. I'm pretty techno challenged. thanks, Moonwatcher
  5. Is Sacred Gold compatible with Windows Vista? I just intalled it on my computer and when I try to access the game, it tells me to install Disk 1. I do that, and still can't get anything. Has anyone else had this problem and can anyone give me some adivce? Thanks. Moonwatcher
  6. Hello to all. It's been a while since I've been in here. There has just been a lot going on, and I haven't spent as much time on line as I used to. Things are going pretty good down here in T-town (Tulsa,Oklahoma). The better half and I have still been putting in some time with GW, although I'm so far behind her it's not funny. I'm getting ready to reinstall Sacred on my computer. I gave my old one to my daughter without realizing that I left disk #1 in the tower (DUUUHHHH!) Well, I got it back now and ready to give it another go. I wanted to say that I missed all of you and look forward to running into you guys on-line some time, either with Sacred or guild Wars (I'm usually the ranger that runs into walls and stuff). I hope everyone is well and happy. Take care and I look forward to talking to everyone soon. Alan (Moonwatcher)
  7. Thanks to everyone for their support. Stargazer and I are really looking forward to gaming with everyone again. I'm trying to get the hang of running a Dark Elf named "The Firey Yam" (sorry Gogo). Stargazer and I are on vacation this week, so we're plannnng on jumping in and levelling up. We're hopin to catch you guys on line so we can go in a nd kick some cyber-butt( muhwahahahaha). Take care y'all and see ya soon! Moonwatcher
  8. Hey all! Just checking in hoping everyone is doing good! We didn't make Kamikaze Sunday and regret it. The truth is Sunday wasn't that great of a day for us. I'm quitting smoking (cold turkey) and the nerves were up just a bit (HA)! Anyway Stargazer just unchained me from the closet for my daily bathroom trip and feeding time, so I made a quick break to the computer. I'm plugging along on Sacred, trying to get the hang of it again. The biggest problem I'm having is when my health indicator flashes that it's low, I need to remember that SPACE = health, not ESC (sigh!) I hate when that happens. Anyway, gonna jump off of here. Take care all, and talk to to y'all real soon. Moonwatcher
  9. ok, here's thge link, and thanks again for all the help http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z273/ce...er/919sleep.jpg
  10. Actually, the pic I wanted to use is in my photo album. Is that allowed? Also, I don't see my flag either when I post. Any help I can get from the "Genius crowd" will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gogo. Moonwatcher
  11. Hi all! I'm having problems with my avatar. It won't display when I post something. Does anyone have any ideas? Any and all comments will be welcome. Thanks again. Moonwatcher
  12. I have a question regarding the original version of Sacred (Sacred Gold is winging its way here and should arrive shortly....I hope!). Does anyone know of a way to change the camera angle while playing? That is the only issue I have with the game. Thanks for any feedback and have a great day, all! Moonwatcher
  13. The flags are great, bhj! Kudos for all of your hard work. The addition of the flags will certainly be a terrific addition to what is already a great forum. Thanks again! Moonwatcher
  14. I've been meaning to do this for a very long time, but you know how it is, getting busy with other things or just that I'm getting senile and forgetting to post. However the reason for this is that I just wanted to check in and give everyone a big Okie HELLO! To Schots and Gogo, Stargazer and I talk about you guys all the time and fondly remember all the good times we had in GW. I also want to give a warm hello to everyone else here in Dark Matters. I hope your summer goes well and may the rest of the year bring you happiness , health, good friends, and best wishes. Take care everyone and have a great summer! Alan
  15. Hi Tim, It looks like you already have some good builds going. I see that you have you R/Mo equipped with some traps. How does that work for you? I personally never had much luck with them, but to each his own. I just thought I'd list the builds I use with my favorite character, Elwyn Moonwatcher, a R/Mo. I have 2 builds templated for him and both work really well for me. One is set up when he runs his pet ( a level 20 black bear named Furball), and the other one when he runs without a pet. Let me list them for you. His skills are: Marksmanship 10 + 1 + 1, Wilderness survival 4 + 1, Expertise 5 + 1, Beast Mastery 9, Healing Prayers 10, and Protection Prayers 2. With pet: Poison Arrow (elite), Forked Arrow, Hunter's Shot, Comfort Animal, Charm Animal, Rebirth, Resurrect, and Heal Area. Without pet: Poision Arrow (elite), Forked Arrow, Hunter's Shot, Determined Shot, Penetrating Attack, Power Shot, Resurrect, and Heal Area. I also have him equipped with 2 bows. The first is a max damage longbow, the advantage being I can attack enemies while they are still outside my aggro circle. this is great for pulling. The second is a max damage short bow or half moon. I use this option in close battle conditions, because while the long bow has range, it sacrifices speed. the short or half moon bow, don't have the range, but you can fire faster, which comes in handy for those times when you are being swarmed by baddies. Keep both equipped in weapon sets so you can change back and forth as needed. When entering into combat, I try to keep Elwyn toward the rear in order to provide covering fire for the melee characters, and also to allow him to use rez/rebirth to bring back the toons that get killed. Well, that's it in a nutshell. I hope it helps. Good luck! Alan aka Elwyn Moonwatcher
  16. I just wanted to take a moment to say hello to everyone and introduce myself. My name is Alan, but in the game, I have 3 alter egos: the first one is my favorite Ranger, Elwyn Moonwatcher, the second is a certain Klingon-looking warrior and tank-in-training named Toshiro the Bold, and the third is a noob elementalist named Will Embers. My wife and I enjoy GW tremendously although we consider ourselves "Weekend Warriors". We recently met Gogo and Schot in the game and have a great time running with them. Take care all, and hope to get the chance to meet more of you in the near future! :cha (18): Alan a.k.a. Elwyn a.k.a. Toshiro a.k.a Will
