  1. Howdy everyone. Does anyone know of a way, or if it's in fact possible, to clear the CA slots near the compass after putting a CA or Combo there? It's easy to place them and replace the ones in place, but how about leaving the slot open? Is there any combination of keys to do this? Because I can't find info on this matter on the usual platforms with info about the game, and Google isn't being any helpful either.
  2. Yeah, Narmul isn't your "kill in 10 seconds" affair, at least usually. I had a go at it with my Platinum DM and it made me sweat a bit, running away from all the dragon strikes and "summons" when it defrosts the animals around. You need to pay attention to its attacks as opposed to just hitting hit up and close. Unless you have a boss grinder like that, ha ha.
  3. Edit: Never mind my previous post, I had "idiot mode" turned on.
  4. Man, I'm playing in a screen half that size at the same distance and sometimes I just can't see the mouse cursor amidst all the freakin carnage!
  5. I'm just saying that that's the behaviour in-game, not saying how you should present things in your mod. That's your choice and I won't debate that with you. Like I said I can't vouch for the behaviour on AW or SH since I never tested those in the same way, though it's quite easy to do so with my blank toons in the download section.
  6. I can provide an answer since I've played extensively with Magic Coup, and Delphic Arcania Lore is the skill that regulates attack/cast/whatever it may be called in this situation speed. The relevant equipped weapon lore skill only increases the character's attack value on top of it since DAL doesn't provide that bonus like a weapon lore skill or like the dual wield skill. On a related note, I know for a fact that Tactics Lore never increases the damage value on Magic Coup. I've tested it and the damage is always unaltered, even put a small more explanatory note about it on the Wiki's page. I've checked the individual pages for AW and SH and curiously enough there's no mention of Tactics Lore having any interaction with them, but those I haven't tested to be sure of so I couldn't say if it's the same or not.
  7. I have it below 1000, no wonder I can see such a big difference. Though I reckon you'd have a hard time targeting individual enemies with such a distance, no?! It's great for area targeting and Area of Effect spells, but for combat I think it'd be hard to play so zoomed out.
  8. Yeah, bosses get "blunted" in their tactics when they get heavy damage in little time. Though some bosses have so many tricks up their sleeves that unless you kill them in 10 seconds they'll be sure to make you drop the ball. I'm thinking of Abishai for instance, I made the mistake of getting one-on-one with him once and ignored the fact that he was dropping traps like crazy and had a life leeching aura. Those were 10 seconds indeed... for my toon. But Glacial Thorns seems to overtake all of that really! I'd like to see a comparison between GT and a dual-wield "staff+%LL weapon" Frenzied Rampage, just for the kicks.
  9. Out of curiosity, how much is the value on your "trackdist_max"? Your cam is way up there!
  10. Ditto. Some of the changes listed in the changelog have been agreed to be CM Patch material and some haven't. But if I may do a direct question, much of it is your own personal view of the game isn't it Dmitriy? Nothing wrong with that, everyone mods games to their own liking anyway. My question being then if this Addendum is in fact your mod?
  11. Eh, I just noticed that my Steam client accounts for 700 hours played on Sacred 2. Considering that I bought it on Steam on October 2015 and that I had less than 400 hours before the development for CM Patch 1.60 began you can tell just how much I've played in the past six months! I dread to imagine the number Steam would display had the game been stable the two years before, ha ha. And like I said a few times before I actually bought this game twice, so I have a few hundred more with FA. All of these are just for single player, which makes it even more relevant in my book. And yeah, I still get excited about this game! Damn, even my girlfriend has grown fond of it because she can tell how much fun I have with it. And I'm glad there are still old school games like this in an era where every game is old the moment it's released and vlogged. It's actually reassuring to know that I can play a game this much and still enjoy it after almost a decade.
  12. I've left a note stating the similarities, nothing too fancy. I agree that the remaining parts of the chain quest have nothing to do with LOTR, but that dialogue was really really taking me back to the events on the third movie.
  13. Yeah I know, I've looked for it before posting here. My question being if it warrants one. Sadly I didn't take a snapshot of the dialogue, otherwise it'd be a smoking gun.
  14. I've found out what it seems to be an easter egg in the game that's apparently unaccounted for, and since Easter is coming I might as well put it out in the open. There's a soldier in Khorum near the monolith and portal that will give you a quest called "soldiers from the past", where he sends you to a priest to recite some words and get help from some "special troops" since the Humans are being annihilated by three different forces. I've found that speech a bit familiar to be honest, but I didn't care that much. But when I got to the priest and got the second part of the dialogue he basically told me that I had to get to an old fortress and recite an incantation to summon a sheik that had been cursed, cursed for being summoned into battle in aid of others and having failed to show up, so he and his troops were cursed. Now if this isn't a direct reference to LOTR's The Return of the King and the undead army that Aragorn retrieves to defend Gondor then I don't know what is! You even get to summon an undead king (sheik) so to speak, so this pretty much feels like another piece of mainstream which was purposely placed in the game. What do you guys think about this?
  15. I guess it kind of depends on the progression of the CA level, since once it's at a high level enough the skellies will be so much higher in level than your character that they don't even fall down to the ground. I've been playing with Nether Allegiance on my dual wield build with magic staves and modded it for survivability since their main point with my build is for them to be meat (bone?!) shields, and they act more as a distraction than a main killing art. So it will also fall down into how you want to use them, if it's a more aggro approach then I agree that it should be modded differently. Still, I think there's room for usefulness in the more defensive mods.
  16. You get them at the end of the quest, when you go to the Ascaron lounge.
  17. No problem. The build I linked you to is a bit complex, but if you take away Atral Lord Focus and Blacksmith you gain room for the two general skills you're after. You can then alternate between pure sword-fighting and a staff+sword to mop up everything from a distance (seriously, Frenzied Rampage with this build is just wow!).
  18. What kind of build are you playing with your SW? You could take a look at my blacksmith build and adapt it to your liking, it's a pretty rad build.
  19. It's intentional, it was implemented with CM Patch 1.60, as well as the mutated undead you'll also find in the northern region of those pools.
  20. Small update just to say that I've finally levelled every instance of my Dragon Mage. So now I have a lv.2 silver, a lv.35 gold, a lv.70 platinum and a lv.100 niobium bargainers ready to go on shopping sprees if needed be. Along the way I've stashed my shared chest with more than enough +all skills jewellery to be able to use them at will, nothing too specific or fancy but enough to be helpful. I will say, using bargainers to get jewellery with modifiers like opponent's chance to evade, chance that opponents cannot evade attacks, opponent's level for deathblow, and of course +all skills, really makes any toon much more proficient. I guess that you can't really reach that kind of proficiency without a bargainer so having this "ladder" really adds a lot to the pleasure of playing the game. Now to level up my niobium smith to a level high enough as to beat the niobium NPC's blacksmith arts.
  21. Uhm, then I can't be of further help. I've never used "aesthetic" mods so I have no experience on that.
  22. You need to install GME in the game's root folder, not in the "system" folder where the sacred2.exe file is located. So the MODS folder should be there between the "locale" and "pak" folders. The rest seems to be in order after a cursory look on this thread.
  23. I don't think I'll ever understand the math in this game! I was under the impression that it was a simple adding system (CA regen time + penalty1 - penalty2) and that only when the Riding skill was high enough that both penalties would equate, but I guess I've been wrong all this time. The other Draconicon I've used is the Savage Draconicon which has a much lower regen time bonus and according to that formula the numbers do make sense, so yes no bug then.
  24. Both Draconicons I used, the other being the one with all channel armour bonus, have the same tooltip. The other one works like on the tooltip whereas this one doesn't, and if it's supposed to be "+33% to all CAs" then more than one thing is wrong.
