  3. Playing POE for a bit, now that I see you can make 4 totem builds - 2xSRS and 2x Skele totems + minion Instability edit - looks like a new patch for both Grim Dawn and POE just now
  4. Currently testing a Pyromancer - which might be my strongest build yet for ultimate! These are the 2 items I'm testing it with SpiritCrusher seems to put a curse on every enemy in a large area around me as soon as I cast Sigil, BWC, Flash Bang etc, but this curse stays on them until they die. Which in turn constantly procs Voidfire Nova from the Heretic Tome, even when I don't attack/cast. I noticed this on the attack dummies as well In any case damage on Sigil is quite big going through Ultimate, and so it heals me a lot, I can tank quite a bit! Even with just 1 point in Blast Shield... The combo of maxed Witchfire, Flame Touched, Sigil, BWC with the high potency transmuter, and greater FireBlast spam has been good clear speed wise. Plus the occassional Doom Bolt from proc and 1 point skill With an OA of 2000, I can crit big time and often due to the above skills debuffing, slowing and confusing the enemies Plus the massive resistance debuff, and Sigil also procs Eldritch Fire from devotion tree I have +450% for Vitality, +430% Fire, and +500% Chaos Damage. So Sigil is healing me quite a bit I can face tank multiple heroes and mobs... while standing in aether/poison pools..the more the merrier! Plus extra heal from the Bat and Gallows devotion skills Still thinking about the Hellfire Thermite mines, because the Heretic Tome does add +2 to it... Just need to find an Empowered SpiritCrusher I'm also torn between a few components for the Weapon and off hand - but I guess resistance comes first Trying Kil's Flame on chest armour for extra healing and sustain, still not sure about it.
  5. Breezed through Steps of Torment with my Mortar build. Final boss was no problem. Granted this is at level 51 and Normal/veteran Build feels pretty tanky, and yet dishes out a lot of damage. Dryad Blessing on attack helps my regen + shield with 14% life leech Feels a bit like a pet build, but without the crowd control and aggro issues Did a bit of Act 1 Elite for a feel, and it's OK, still smashing things

I just found a full set of Perdition gear, been thinking of making a thorns build but more active version Probably on the occultist side using more acid, soul stealing theme set bonus 1/5 - 2/5 225 Acid Retaliation 3/5 +50% Acid Retaliation 4/5 +50% Acid Damage 5/5 +100% Total Retaliation Damage And I have some nice poison nova proc items in my stash This also dropped for me!   7. Died with my Mortar Build in Bastion of Chaos at level 50, near the end, due to stupid mistake/timing and got swarmed :/ I entered without realizing what this was... No portal, and no turning back ...what a waste of skeleton key.... Other than that had no issues with final boss and all the other content. I just drop down Thermite mines in Log' s mouth, and run around planting my Mortars and firing off Flash Freeze Just have one more quest to Steps of Torment for the Outcast I think, and then to Elite I guess Got 2 Legendaries, and a ton of Blues so far.

Mortar procs Meteor, Mines proc Fissure, and the item adds another Rain of Fire skill, proc'ing off a crit! It's an artillery barrage --- Edit - also from testing if you have 2 of the component skills, they have their own cooldown, so you if duel wieild, you can have 2 Dreeg's Infinite Eye, and alternate cast for chain casting! Gives me an idea to make a build where I stand in A Sigil of Consumption proc'ing Guardian's Gaze, and cast DIG
  9. Rocking my Flash Freeze, Mortar and Thermite mines build into act 4 now. Also Black water cocktail and Fire Blast for proc'ing Near 7k HP, and good resists at level 45. I look for HP on gear. Feels pretty tanky and kills fast. I have +1 to Mortar on a gear, so I can now have 2 mortars out since I'm over the max level. Skills stay up for a while, so less need to spam. And I can run around, while my mortars hammer the enemey. Plus it seems the AI likes to avoid the Thermite mines, so they spend a bit of time moving around instead of dealing DPS

  12. BTW there are 2 Target Dummies in Devil Crossing, and elsewhere You can use the Pet Target command on them for Pets and Mortar etc to check damage Also hold down Pet Attack key to make the Mortar Spam - might be a glitch though!

Holy hell this combo is a lot of fun! - new Mortar proc'ing Elemental Storm, Thermite mines fullly upgraded plus Black Water cocktails proccing Meteor Shower on the Demo side, plus Vindictive flame also maxed, plus some Blast shield And Flash freeze maxed on the Arcanist side for crowd control and fire debuff. And Elemental Exchange to convert some of the physical damage and energy regen It's like an artillery barrage build I have some free points so I might add in Trozan Sky shard... mainly for the extra freeze

  15. BTW here is a simple Autohotkey script to make it spam Spirits or whatever skill you need to on a timer. Just adjust that time to perfectly match whatever cooldown you need Press Scroll Lock key to activate/deactivate Edit the key it sends to Grim Dawn as necessary. Can be tweaked to have more than one. Also works well in Diablo 3 After you edit the #IfwinActive part to D3 #IfWinActive, Grim Dawn SetTimer Click, 100 Scrolllock::Toggle := !Toggle ; Scroll Lock key turns on/off Click: If (!Toggle) Return Send {left down} ; sends a Left arrow to Grim Dawn, replace with whatever key you use for your skill sleep 100 Send {left up} sleep 2600 ; sets cooldown to 2.6 sec, adjust as necesssary return

  17. I hate the aggro system in this game, it basically sucks! Your pets hardly draw anything to them. You can run around in a circle while they attack and everything tends to ignore them
  18. I wish the DOTs would be continuous like Path of Exile rather than tick based.
  19. Tried Shamen, seems I'm killing things much easier than other builds. Or maybe the game is easier? Shamen seems better than other classes I've tried. With my pet

  21. All this stuff is just passive and procs though, would like more active skill variety
  22. Really liking the Shamen class, it seems to be the most balanced all round class that GD needed. Much more active skills than the others. From a quick study, it looks like you can make a insanely high HP regen character with a Shaman and Demo combo. Maybe as high as 3500+ hp/sec with the right gearing! Nice for the Aether pools in the later acts. As well as nice lightning and reflect damage synergy Also nice skills for hit and run tactics - the summons, and totems etc It's got a real Jedi Knight/Sith Lord vibe to it
